Scary Things On POF/POTCO
 

Ok, I was just thinking about the things that have scared me outta me piratey wits, and I thought, what are the scariest things on POF and POTCO?

well, the game is simple. come up with something that scares ye outta yer wits ingame and onforum. it can be something incredibly stupid, or something that ye might be scared of. I'll start off. what scares me more that anything else here is:

things that scare me in game (more annoying than scarry):

tortuga beach on busy servers
friend requests when i'm out sailing alone on my boat
gunner quest
new NPC ship manuevers (hopefully they fixed this one)
getting grave shackled and not knowing from where
going /afk near anyone from dueces wild ;)
running out of rum on wench night

Nothing scarier.

Poker cards on the table, 7000 gold pot on the table and all you have is a six high card.

If you can find anything scarier, then Chuck Norris has entered the game.

I remember when I was re-installing POTCO one day, I had the volume at High on my pc, and the thunder from the Jolly Rogers Skelleton Ship that shows up during the installation, that thing made me jump!. I was like "What The --------"!! it just comes up all of a sudden! lol

Oh when they first made the fly traps move to attack and spit at you, that really scared me when it first happened

Zoom in on the enemy faces in Tormenta.....pretty nasty looking creatures.....

Long ago.. when POTCO was young... many a pirate leveled to their hearts content. All were happy and cheerful, well satisfied with them quests and there rum:buds:.. good times and smooth sailing be with pirates in those days.. But tis said that in the futuret this is no longer..... your pirate.. will all of a sudden.. Stop leveling! :piratesing:

Oh when I thought that my grenade leveling would go on fearther than my cannons and sailling leveling, and it turns out my grenades leveled faster and are done before my cannons or sailing

He He He... I had a run in similar to Ghostcannons's but with The opening title page. "HOLY SMOKES!!! "

going to KH by meself trying to do the nades quest ( got help by the time i was ungroggy from the first trip alone)

Being a low level and running through Tormenta. Made that mistake once when I was still exploring the Caribbean.... Never went back till' I had to level the last of my weapons lol

one of Cujo's rants is enough to be scared of anything ( chased off new guild member bc of it... Totaly by accident though just laying down the rules and guess he could follow) hey i even scared meself with a rant one time

This actually DID scare me
 

I was on my ship with a guild member and the ship was closed except to guild only. Someone kept trying to tp to me - I heard the tp sound but the game didn't tell me who it was.
When we stopped on an island to cash in for 5 seconds, I heard the tp again, but was on my ship before I could tell who it was.

Well this person - got in his/her ship and followed me. I turned and moved in random directions and the other ship stayed right with me

Then he/she tried to RAM my ship.

I know he/she can't really hurt me but OMG it was really scary.

True story.

Have ye ever stepped it melted cheese? it screamed and I said, HOLY JACKAMOLE!!!!!! He gave me a peice of his mind, and I said sorry, but that HE JUMPED ME!!!! Oh, gosh, I just scared myself...

What do I fear? I be fearing there be no more pirates offering up fine rum for the taking.

The earthquakes on the new PDF scared the heck out of me until I got used to them...thought me puter was goin AWOL!

I once tripped on a stump... the fall wasn't as so bad, it was AFTER the fall...

I think it depends on yr level as to what is really scarey. I can member being terrified of flytraps...now I walk up to them and say "You're Going Down" Benefit of being a Level 40, I guess....

scary: when you standing there on the docks and a player randomly throws a bomb at you from behind >_>

Scary: Having to keep Local chat and Crew chat and Privateer chat and Guild chat and whispers straight so you don't say the wrong thing to the wrong person.

7. Chuck Norris if he played because he would have skipped the tutorial, rescued the pearl have ∞ damage fists, invincibility without the glitch, owns, all the islands, forts, and caves. He would also own a Chuck Norris Class of ship that could not be harmed and made all captains sink their own ship so that they would not be sunk. he doesn't need a totem because he can move faster the teleportation system. :psmiley27: fear him!




8. Chuck norris owns the space above and #8. he owns #1-10 because he is #1 but doesn't want people to know that.
9. guys in POTCO can take their shirts off but girls can't. I wonder why... hmmmm...

The fact I choose to study for finals than playing POTCO.

Scary Mary and Davy Jones Crew Freak me out

Could someone post a screenshot of scary mary? I haven't seen her yet but a guild mate told me she was a bit strange...

If you want to find her, she's at one of the ends of queens nest on isla peridita.

When your whole player friend list dissipears after a cave upgrade.And one of thems your GM.(dont worry glitch when one come online later it fixed ,i said then he come online you ate now friends with player 43543.. ect ect and says the same for him.PS that wasent a real number back there)Actualy the GM thing is great it's like live support.

Why no screenies of scary mary?

Its easier just to go to Scary Mary for yourself, that way you can see the animation that people refer to, rather than a screenshot of the way she stands.

Scary Mary is located on Isla Perdida.

Not really scary, but the undead are way gross.
Spanish Undead Captains. Have ya noticed that all that holds their upper body up is their spine and their sword belt? Other than that there's nothing in the middle, YUCK!
General Bloodless. Okay, you can see his muscles. :psmiley27: So disgusting! I actually try not to look right at the undead in game.

An ya, a lot of those guys in Tormenta are just plain freaky looking.

Here are the two things that scare me on pof and POTCO:

Abassa during the day on week days

and Andaba being quiet

whats really odd is when abassa tortuga is quiet...

I just saw scary mary. Gives me the creeps. Plus the music on isla perdida in general.

the kraken yes the kraken i've seen it twice it is terrifying it took down a monarch boom like that gone i just sailed for land quikly

What scares me... hmm, Fighting Neban solo, seeing as I'm just a 31.

Fear itself.

Level 50 rage ghosts teaming up. It's impossible to kill one.

Walking the streets of Raven's Cove at night. It literally gives me the chills.

Arrr... the one thing I be afraid of... its my deepest fear.... my brother.... I love him, but he is just so frightening!
