How to level pistol
How do you level a level 8 pistol because i want triple barrel pistol but i dont know were to train please comment.
|
Perhaps Cuba (Pantano River) and the Big Gators?
|
I see any other ideas
|
I believe I tried Cutthroat upon reaching 10 (gypsies are now a disaster as it goes for the pistol). The 14-20's are what I used there. However, the 18-20's were outside, which I used during the event where I could restock on pork at anytime (now I conserve it). It could work for you perhaps (go inside Cutthroat Jungle I recommend).

good ideas any one else have ideas

There is a spot I have been to in El Sudoron where you can stand on the hill and shoot at the stump. Seems to work pretty well if you position yourself right. It can still do damage to you but at least you're not right where it can hammer you too badly. I recommend having tonics though. Best of luck to ye.
|
what level are stumps? And i never heard of El Sudoron. Where is it located?
|
Stumps are on Outcast and El sudoron. Dont level on those yet they range from lvls 30-35. El sudoron is behind becketts quarry on padres del fuego.
Best place to level a lvl 8 pistol might be tortuga graveyard until lvl 10 then move to port royal and go down to the murkey hollow and level off the second brigand "party". |
that is wat i did from 1-6 in graveyard any other ideas?
|
Keep in the graveyard there is an area where a witchdoctor spawns its in a hallway type place very good for leveling.
|
I am too strong for that i am level 21 with a level 8 pistol
|
Ah level 21... then move to the murkey hollow on port royal
|
good idea chris
that wa a really good idea any one else have good ideas? |
As with any weapon pick an enemy you can barely kill in order to level the weapon fast.
generally the weakest attack with each weapon gains the most rep simply put the more times you hit anything the more rep you get with 100 being max per weapon plus crew bonus. Experiment with different enemy and levels you want to get at least 50 plus rep per kill in order to level quickly. as you level and power goes up do not continue in the same spot as you will get lower and lower rep for that same enemy. Continue on and find more challenging prey. on extremely har opponents switch weapons back and forth in mid fight and your total rep can get as high as 450 or more (spread throughout all the weapons you used) Generally speaking it only takes 24 hours to level a new pirate to level 20 and 3 weeks to completely master him to level 40 and all weapons 25 and fully mastered This is without glitching.. |
I recommend leveling pistol on Port Royal, places in the caverns are good for level 21. Also Isla Congrejos has a good assortment of enemies to pick from you can shoot.
|
Another method of earning more rep with pistol regardless of location/npc's is using "Take Aim" skill.
This will do more damage, however you can release it the second the powerup bar displays, and it will do similar damage as a regular shot, yet yield better rep rewards. |
Well, this is what I have been doing. My pistol level was very low as I don't use it as much as my cutlass and I wanted silver shot for Halloween week...you know the zombie thing so anyways I went to Catacombs. I went straight to the back corner and camped out on Bonerattler boss. I raised my pistol level by 5 levels in about a couple of hours. Got bored and came back the next day and did the same until eventually I got silver shot. My pirate at the time was a level 38 and my other pirate was a 37. Raised both of their pistol levels that way! Just a thought. Kani of Spartan Ellite

level 10 pistol level 26
|
26 + 10 / 2 = 18. Find level 17-29 enemies and fire away. Because the number of hits is the largest factor for gaining rep, I recommend (as others said) to use your weakest attacks on them, so that you can get the full 100 reputation (+crew bonus, etc.) for each enemy defeated.
I strongly prefer TAKE AIM as the range is farther. But once an enemy has been agitated, stop using take aim. Use only lead shot (at all times) as the skill points on other ammo types are generally a waste of skill points, reload trips, gold for ammo and a distraction. The other ammo types' damage increase is negligible (and not what you want, anyhow, when trying to level up a weapon.) Rat's Nest on Tortuga might be good for you. There is a boss by the waterfall that your level might appreciate greatly. But just standing in the middle area, you'll be able to just keep turning, hitting very many medium-level targets (one at a time, hopefully.) Bring a friend along the first time you go, or lots-o-tonic, until you figure out their patterns. Failing that, try Padres Beach on Padres del Fuego (run all the way through El Sudoron.) Stay away from the gypsies and raiders when you are there alone, but have fun with the grenadiers. Remember that there is an ammo shop there and you can get healing from the bartender for 5 GP (but only when wounded.) Edit: Actually, a better recommendation from me, is to STOP. Work only on leveling-up grenades until they are at level 25. |
I recommend shooting at everything
|
Just make sure you kill yellow/red enemies with a weak shot and without using take aim.
|
I got my tri-barrel from killing anything undead in rat's nest tortuga

Also, please stop. Level ONLY grenades until they are level 25. |
Sadley Ed no one listens
Sadley Ed no one listens. Once you have obtained grenades I totally agree run them up to 25 at the expense of everything else. You will be repaid with gold, reps and fast leveling. It's much harder later to find suitable enemies for grenades that will give you all the benefits.

That being said. Most more experienced pirates will work on their grenades considerably upon obtaining them, as they are the hardest to master, and the higher level your pirate becomes (through questing, and leveling of other weapons), the harder leveling the grenades will come. Hence the indirect recommendation of leveling your grenades as soon as possible. |

What I did was go to the beach on perdida and kill the wasps..with a healer. If u dont have a healer, shoot and back up,shoot then back up..and so on. After the wasps turn grey go to the back beach of Padres and shoot the skeles, with a healer. Once you are high enough lvl you can go to tormenta :) A crew for crew rep helps too. |
Secret beach on Padres, kill pirate boss by the door to a clothing shop, after he switches to his sword, he doesn't attack you. Easily 100 rep each kill.

That is the best way to do it. I went from level 20 to level 25 in just one morning with my overall level 37. |

I never cease to be irritated by one of the worst possible levelling systems ("Hey, let's punish people for doing quests and adding skill points to their attacks!") and yet I still play. |

I am just like you - none of my L40's (Currently - My Last One may actually pull it off before 40...) see no need to satisify my 'inner completion feeling' on gernades, and as I've mentioned about the entire levelling system (many times over the last 18 months) - it still cooks my mind that 'less is more' and that yor actually rewarded for keeping weapons and skills 'dumb down' to achieve higher results... But what can one do :D |

Maybe Disney will figure out that they have designed exp totally wrong and fix it. Can you imagine if they ever raise the level cap say to L50 Noteriety, L30 weapons with the system as is. Have fun raising your grenades 5 more levels... :smiley22: I think I'm done ranting for now. |
