When they say the Beaches of Tortuga from the 27th to the 30th do they mean every second of every minute of every hour on the beaches?

All pirates are invited to the Founders Feast on the beaches of Tortuga, November 27, 28, 29, 30 (any server) starting at 10AM Pacific Time each day as we begin the Founders Feast by lighting the ceremonial bonfire! The celebration is a chance to give thanks for the bounty the Caribbean has brought us over the past year and join other pirates in fun and fellowship. As the festivities run from 10AM to 8PM Pacific Time daily, enjoy a Pork Roast you won't want to miss! There will be surprises throughout the event, including appearances by our Game Masters Captain Walter, Rose Winsome and other crewmembers of the Marceline Guild. Unlimited Access Members, in thanks of your support of the Caribbean be sure to visit a Tailor in any town during the days of the feast and get your limited edition Gold Skull Bandana. Also Roberta told us something... ADMIN GM Roberta Roberts The Gold Skull Bandana will automatically be added to your inventory when you visit any Tailor to pick it up. Don't worry - you won't need to delete anything to get it! We look forward to seeing all you Pirates on Tortuga and come dressed to impress! |

re Feast
OK -- so far, it's 5:15am PST, so the GMs, let alone the Devs, aren't awake yet!
The bonfire pile and roast pig spit are in place, but nothing happening yet with those. The "free" hat thing is a rip, if you have a closet full of hats that is. The last free hat offer added with no problem. Likewise all the tailor shop quest hats. But THIS one -- so far -- will not add if you have all those other hats. You get the message of the "4 limit" and that you have to sell off one of your items. I have been deluging them with complaints from the very second the hat came online. Click on Options, Click on the Question mark, send a complaint! :pirate6: |
aye another disapointment from disney .....u have to sell ur clothin to get the new bandana....which mean if ur max on gold u cant even sell anything to get it.......email disney once again to inform them of there miscue in this game. i try to get the new one told me i have to many clothin in my inventory.
every one should email them...... |

10 Western is WAY too late! I'm in Central, so that's Noon here! I'm probubly going to be enjoying Thanksgiving in RL and attend later. I think Disney should start early and end late so ALL the timezones can enjoy it. I had to sell me Calcutter and Truehound hats but that's fine with me because I didn't like the Truehound one and the Calcutter is like Barbossa's but a different color. What I'm worried about is what happens if there are any MORE hats! My inventory's full of hats I will NEVER sell!

I know it stinks. But I thought deleting hats was worth it because that is the first bandanna I've seen that I really liked. The skull one is the only other one I'd wear. |

Disney is a Lier. I mean there are only 2 hats that I can sell and that still leaves me with 4. C'mon Disney increase the space or Fork over the hat now.

Ah, the limited inventory is a pet peeve right now. I spent a half hour on the phone with a customer rep last weekend, who directed me to the chat help (who really had no idea what I was talking about). I also visited and spoke to 3 GM's who ignored my inventory question (but clearly stated that the hat would not count towards our inventory).
I did the clothing quests prior to buying new clothes. This means that in most categories, I now have 4 items (3 quests and my starting item). I can't buy any of the clothes without selling a quest item. If I had bought clothes first, I'd be able to hold more. Why am I (along with countless others) penalized for doing the quest first? If we can't buy new clothes . . . why should the tailor shops even sell them? And now . . . this free hat. I was specifically told by a GM last weekend that it would not take spots in our inventory. And it does? I am a paying customer and can't even utilize features of the game. Do they even realize how frustrating this is? I'm not asking for unlimited inventories, just that the quest items (or free items) should not count towards our inventory limit. |
Come to see it I might be coming on anyway, just could take awhile!

I had a feeling this is where this was going to end up. One of the very last things I was persistent with with a GM was if we would have space with quest items and/or rare drops for this clothing.
I got the response of its being worked on, but the answer I felt I got was we would need to make room. I posted that earlier on the tavern take over thread, to make room. The worse thing of all this is its not the first time, this has happen before with the tattoo quests, then followed by the Mothers day tattoo's you couldn't hold. I am surprised it was listed somewhere that you could hold them though, perhaps they will alter it later during this event. |
they should do a different one for a different time zone. i am mountain time. or better yet have a different schedules for the different servers much like the Disney parades or Fantasmic.

Then explained that she was going to light the ceremonial bonfire. Appearantly the GMs have a special staff, a lighting torch specifically, that they use to light the fire.
Now for the special treat. Upon the bonfire lighting and the pork roast lighting, you can indeed pick up 10 "roast pork" from the roast pit. They act like tonics, and each will heal for 2000 hp. Assuming they do as they said and have stories and dancing of old, I'll update this post with more info. Only thing I have to say was odd is that we picked up pork roast... but we eat a turkey leg? (Well, it kind of looks like the pork roast they give you now that I think about it, but I'll still believe it's a turkey leg.) |

ok... Abassa has already started with the festivities. the bonfire is on as well as the pork roast. which is a sort of tonic. the place is packed.... apparently a curse was on the way. the message of impending curse popped up... the event is lag galore, so heads up... also i could not get the bandana because i already have 4 items. skull bandana, and 3 clothing quests, plus the initial hat... oh and i was kicked out "inexplicably". not the best weekend to play in my mot humble opinion.

Oh man what if this is a sign to come! I wonder if they are testing food as a healing tonic :D in other games your tonic is basically food you eat it to hal you it would be awesome to have that here!
Also how did you get the meat and the thing to get on fire did a GM come around or something? I think the mods have decided to merge all founder feast image threads into one. Anyway thats cool how does the fire get lit exactly does it just start? |

It looks like I'll have to seel most of my hats to get this one... You would think that from the start we could hold ten of everything. You can't sell your starter items either. Well..looks like that's the last time I'll see my barbossa hat. EDIT: Well I got to keep my barbossa hat but it looks like I had to sell four other hats, two of which I'll never get to have again. |

I was on Abassa when the sky turned green...As me and me mates stood there waiting...the lag got so bad you couldn't move your character. If something did attack, we would not have been able to draw our weapons...Maybe the pig would resurrect and defeat the enemy...he was the only thing able to move! So me and me mates left the server for quieter fields. Hoping against hope that the lag didn't catch us before whatever is loomin out there for us pirates.
