The Sea Of Time- Looking For New Members
 

Ahoy, mates! A new guild has set sail in the Caribbean, and its looking for for new members, like you! The Sea Of Time is a humble, fun loving guild. Here be the format, mate:

Guild Requirements:

1. As a Christmas present, from now til December 26, any pirate of any level may join!
2. May have any access.
3. Must be ready to participate in Guild Activities.
4. Must be ready to help other members.
And most importantly, 5. Must be ready to have some fun!

Regular Guild Activities

1. Boss Battles
2. Plundering Flagships (Colossus be a personal favorite)
3. Guild Meetings
4. Parties (usually held for when a member either completes the BB, if it is a holiday, etc.)
5. Plundering Kingshead/Tormenta
6. Guild PvP (no cheating allowed, promise!)
7 AND MUCH MORE!

Here be the various ranks that can be hold in the guild:

1. Member- This is the basic rank of the guild. Members will remain members until they gain the trust of the Guildmaster. Members usually have some power at Guild Meetings (power to vote)
2. Officer- This is the rank in which the Guildmaster has trusted you enough to have the power to recruit and eject members. *You are only allowed to eject a member with the Guildmasters permission*
3. Sergeant- Same as Officer, only with alittle more respect, honor, and power.
4. High Officer- This rank is awarded to those who have both gained the trust of the Guildmaster and are a very helpful member to the Guild. It gives this person the power to recruit and eject members and be able to give Guild Orders, as long as the Guildmaster approves of it.
5. Admiral- These are a special type of High Officers whose job is to make sure all members levels 1-20 stay safe and happy.
6. Commodore- This rank is given to those who are helpful, nice, active, and over level 35. These pirates have the job of making sure all members over level 20 stay safe and happy.
7. Co- Guildmaster- This is the highest rank to be held by a member of the Guild. This rank is only gained if this person has the COMPLETE trust of the Guildmaster, are a very helpful member, and are regularly active in the guild. This rank enables this person to recruit and eject members, give Guild Orders, and advise the Guildmaster in times of decision making.
Guildmaster's Apprentice- The Guildmaster's Aprrentice has about equal power to the Co-Guildmasters, except for one special job. The job of the Guildmaster's Apprentice is that while the Guildmaster is not on, the Guildmaster's Apprentice has the power to turn down any requests or orders made by Co-Guildmasters. YET, when the Guildmaster is online, the Guildmaster's Apprentice becomes equal to the Co-Guildmasters.

(And for those of you who don't know, a Guild Order is when a High Officer or Co- Guildmaster instructs a member to do a task inorder to aid the guild. Guild Orders may only be made when the Guildmaster is online, so if the order seems unfair, the Guildmaster may disapprove of it)

Guild Rules

1. Show respect to ALL members.
2. Do not demand to become a higher rank, your time will come.
3. Do not take the wheel of another pirates ship without a simple OK.
4. Do not attack the same enemy as another pirate, unless they ask for help.
5. Do not beg for help, ask politely and a Guild Officer will be with you shortly.
6. Do not abuse your power in the guild, such as ejecting members for the sake of it.
7. If you have left the guild more than once or have been ejected for a bad reason, you will not be allowed back in the guild.
8. If you break more than 3 of these rules, you will be either demoted, ejected, or put on probation (this means if you break 1 more rule within the next 24 hours, you become demoted or ejected, this is usually only given to High Officers and Co- Guildmasters)
9. Have fun!

Del I have a Question. My Ships are already bought and I love my ships names and naming getting a new ship is something I cant do. So can we change the name of the Ship to the Shadow Raider since you and me both have ships with that name?

I am guessing so, for the sake of our pirates pockets.

Guildmaster's Apprentice Competition
Those of you who will compete:
- Swash
- The Golden Moe
- Jack Sharkbane
- Darklight
- Mathieu
- Sword Throat
- Blade

Competitors will be judged off of many various characteristics that I am looking for, much like the ones that are required to become a higher Guild Offical, only at much higher degrees.
The judging will be held over the next few days, and will end on the afternoon of the last day of the Founder's Feast.

Hello all POF and Pirates Members.

I have terrible news to bring to you all.

Sometime between 8:00 PM eastern last night, 12/9/08, and 7:00 PM eastern today, 12/10/08, all of my members have been ejected by an unknown officer. I now only remain with about 10 members.

I have my ideas of how may of ejected my members, including 1 person from the forums. I cannot clearly point out how has done this, but rest assure, when i find out, they will be terribly punished. For now, ALL MEMBERS will be demoted to members.

Yet let me assure you, my guild is not dead. I am determined to keep recruiting, and return to former status. I will not give the person how has done this the satisfaction they wanted. If you may have an idea who has done this, please PM me.

Well, let's see...

It would have to be a pirate that you made an officer, if he ejected your members. Therefore, it really shouldn't be hard to figure out who did it.

Attention all of my friends here on POF.

As you are all aware, only about 1 1/2 week ago, my guild was crashed by a still unknown officer. Ever since then, my guild has been left with many problems that seem very hard if not nearly impossible to fix.

Ever since that day, my guild has not been able to recruit members, not matter how hard my remaining members look. As for the members that were deleted from the guild that I happen to cross paths with, they refuse to join because they either believe that they were deleted under my intention, or they have joined a guild of a close friend of theirs.

Now you may be thinking "Why not just promote the remaining members to Officers?" I have not nor will I do this because of two reasons. One, is that I have morals, that only those who I have trust in shall recieve an Officership, and Two, keep in mind, the crasher is still at large and is still in the guild. If I give them Officership yet again they will sit back and let my guild get back to 50 members or so, and then they will go back to their previous job.

Then, you will say "Why don't I just delete all of the previous Officers?" Remember, I have morals, and there was only one guild crasher. If I delete all the previous Officers, I will be deleting mostly innocent people, and that goes against one of my main values.

As you can see, I am caught in quite a dilemma. I can't take these problems foating over my head any longer.

So, effective today, December 20th, 2008, I will be closing The Sea Of Time, permanently. This was not an easy decision to make, but it was the only decision I had.

I am sorry to all of my previous members of my guild for my weak leadership. I wish that you can only find a guild that has members that care for you as much as I did. And thank you for standing by my side through these times.

Im sorry to hear this Del what a bad situation, this game has its fair share of griefers and what pleasure they get out of making people miserable and destroying their hard work is amazing to me.

If you said yes and I like doing bad things etc. all I have to say is 'Get a life'

Del--my heart goes out to ye, mate. Leadership has its responsibilities. One of the basic tenets is seek responsibility and take responsibilty for your actions. Some leaders assume too much responsibility, and I think you may be in this category. Your griefer must have been trusted by you. Your griefer did what he/she did and that is their issue, not yours.

The real question is this: If you're willing to dissolve your guild, then why aren't you willing to keep it and try to figure out what went wrong and by whom? I think you COULD have a decent guild--all guilds have problems and setbacks and they seem cyclic. One day you're on top of the world, and the next you're losing all your officers. It's not YOU, it's the cycle of guilds.

Please let us know what we can do for you.
