Woods/Caves/Jungles ?Bugged
 

OK folks... is anyone getting a message when attempting to enter one of these areas that they have to kill a skeleton with their new sword?
I played the game and did so but I still can't get into the jungle on either Tortuga or Port Royal...have not tried the others yet.

Oh cool, it's not just me... I stand at the opening yelling "I'm level 7, and the game won't let me in this cave!"... Hoping a deve might be looking over the chat log (I would)...

Another thing I don't get is:

This is Disney's 3rd "Chat Game", but they won't make a message board... There are a lot of nice ones out there FOR FREE... I think they are easier to make than web pages. At least if we saw our reports posted, we would know a real person might take the time to look at them.

Yeah, I get that too; and I have the 200 gold piece iron sword!
I went out and killed a few more skeletons, but no lluck.

Another problem, which as far as I know only effects me, is that as of the last update I no longer have a map; just a bright blue field with nothing on it.

Yes, me too. I can't get into the cave...I have to kill the skeleton before seeing Tia Dalma....which I did weeks ago. However, I also have the bug where I no longer can use my cutlass. I'll have to try the caves with my new pirate...but I can't get on her at the moment! Ooof!

I get that message too. I have killed a lot of skeletons and no change. Get rid of one bug and get another. That is Beta for you. Guess I have to suck it up and bide my time until it is fixed.:p

Lol, I got on this part just now. I've killed many skeletons before but it's not working. Maybe there's a difference between skeletons and those Clod things.

I think I'll just drop this one until I get the others done.

Yeah, im on the barbossa quest in chapter two, and I can't enter the cave because of this skeleton thing.

How did you get the iron sword to work? I am Level 12 not., level 11 cutlass and still can't use the sword I bought-just the rusty sword.:(

I dunno; the iron sword was just available when I hit level 7 (I think) on swords.
I still can't get grenades, daggers, dolls, or bombs training though. Go figure.

Same problem here on my main pirate. Started a new one; she entered caves and such just fine, but the ship disappeared when I tried to sail to Devil's Anvil to do pistol training.

Fun.

I'm able to get into the jungles and caves with my new pirate.

Well after this last update tonight, I was able to get back on the game on my vista laptop and go in the jungle. still can't get on my desktop XP. good luck everyone

I can get into caves again too! Yay!

I bought the iron sword (I'm on level6), now I can get into the caves etc. But I can not find Tia. I have been in a few strange places though. I even got attacked by the level 11 stump. He is pretty mean. He made minced meat out of me. :D

My computer is the XP desktop. We bought it in 2003. But recently added many updates for my work.

I found that stump too, but he just stood there and let me beat him! 4 times!

I neen to collect some lichens (sp?) from a stump for a quest. Hope he still stands there!

He was probably upset with himself, and took it out on me. :eek:

I think there's a bug where Stumps (and others) are reluctant to counterattack on occasion.

If you use your Pistol and keep your distance, they are less likely to counterattack.

A real pirate would take advantage of this glitch. :) I suspect they will fix this quickly. (The server is down now for me so I hope they are doing an upgrade and I'm not locked out. I can't test that this counterattack glitch is still in effect).

I just logged back on after this mornings update and all of my tasks were wiped out. I had 1 crew member (pidgeley) and was halfway through Greer. Back to the begninng....

I wish they had wiped my tasks out, as I have been completely unable to get a new task for almost 3 weeks. I really want to keep this pirate because my skill levels are so high and I have voodoo(which I love - even without a pistol). I just logged on and my tasks are all still stuck.

I never figured out how to get voodoo. Or how to get rid of my old cutlass after I bought the nicer one. Or daggers.

*sigh*

Last night I was attacking stumps, corpses, and flytraps and when I used my pistol, none of them counter attacked. Same with the alligators and scorpions. If I use my sword, they would attack.
