Basil's Plunder Party, Dueces Wild Guild Night Events
 

I guess 6 weeks is long enough to have left Basil in The Elite Circle, almost totally alone, so tomorrow, Wednesday, I will bring him over to Dueces.

To celebrate, he will be holding another Plunder Party. Basil has 5 points in treasure sense, so his party should provide quite a haul. As usual, he will give away his share of the plunder to one lucky guild member. Rachel has also agrred to give away her share.

The party will start as soon as I can log in, sometime between 8 and 9 Eastern, and continue til about 11 Eastern. The gold giveaway will follow immediately.

WOW!!!! 2 hours and a little bit of plunder party, and each member of the crew probably made about 10 K in gold! Then, Rachel, Sarah, Reaver, and I gave away our shares, and more, to a few lucky guild members!

Grats to Ange and Sven on their new War Frigates, and also to Lew and Mysty on now having enough to buy warships, when they reach level 15 sailing!!!!

Now for one other item: DISNEY, how come female pirates can buy 17 different pairs of shoes/boots on Port Royal, but guy pirates get their choice of only 8 pairs of boots that ALL LOOK ALIKE? Huh, How come, why? ( I know these numbers because of the recent results of the Scaveneger Hunt.)

It's getting to be very hard to keep track, so I'll leave it up to you. We really didn't do much plundering before we went to party mode for costume party, so Basil only made about 3K, but I'll give 5K to someone. I already owe Captain Rainbow, and Angel, so I guess I need to find someone else.

My normal procedure is to find someone that is close to level 15 sailing, but can't afford a warship yet. It's always nice to help them get their first warship!

Yes it was fun! Basil nice work tallying up the scores. It was like trying to herd cats. Watching it all unfold a few more colorful Navy phrases were going through my mind. LOL! OK, we are gonna try the ARMADA NIGHT this Wednesday!
Here's my thoughts:
We meet on an idle server,, crew up into small crews where junior pirates who need the rep and plunder, team up with high level pirates into crews of 2, 3 or 4. We try for as many crews as we can get.
Out we go and hit hard, fast and low. (Oh, sorry, That's football) SInk anything and everything that we can.
Those who have headsets, we should use them, to coordinate as best we can.

Party starts between 8 and 9 Eastern, and lasts as long as we can all stay ingame.

Sounds great for Wed. Now to find Purv a really big hat with a feather in it .)

Thanks again for the help with the set up. Finally using the headset I actually got for my Rosetta Stone Spanish lessons.. (need to get using that program.. jeez.. the extent of my Spanish is "Ola" and "Tiene dolor")

Yeah...you might want to get on it. Don't know how many times you'll be able to use your Spanish to say "I have pain" and "wave"...lol. Of course, I'm assuming you meant "Hola" as in hello....but even after 4 years of high school Spanish courses, my fallback Spanish words are "perro" y "gato".

If everyone agrees, this Wednesday is guild help night. Senior levels will help junior leveels quest and level up all evening long. I think this will provide an opportunity for the real baby pirates to get into the game for awhile.

Looks like last night's Guild help night was a big success.

Now for Next Week.

The last Armada Night we had, we took out 4 War Frigates and crews. We had a blast, and hit the leaderboards for ships sunk.
Next Wednesday, Let's plan another Aramda night, but slightly different.
All the senior pirates take out their own War Frigate, or War Galleon. Only the very junior pirates go as crew. Let's see if we can get 12 or more War Ships in the fleet!

This may mean that a few of us go without crew, but with all the backup we would have, no one should ever be in any danger of sinking. I know that we have at least 14 pirates with War Frigates, We have given away enough gold to finance 2 fleets in the guild.

And with everyone on Vent, This will be one of the funniest events we have ever had!

LOL....12 War ships. That'd be nice to see, though I think my comp would lag around a lot. I only have a War Sloop...still saving for the Frig. I might show up next week....was a little busy last night.

Awesomeness. Sorry I didn't make Guild help night this week. I was online last night but was mostly trying to write my English paper. This coming Wednesday hopefully I'll not be so busy that I can pay attention. Maybe I can borrow my wife's headset for Vent too, although you'll mostly hear me begging my little one to go to sleep.

Between Tandy, Rachel and Sarah/Anne, they can give you enough to buy an entire fleet! Now you gotta get your buns ingame during evening hours to get the gold.

Warning for you though, break it in once before the Armada Night. Tandy gets bored with shooting enemy ships and decides to ram and shoot High Explosive at our own fleet. Wouldn't want your first time sinking to be because of (ahem) "friendly" fire.

Those who don't have a warship of their own, crew with those who do, but let's see if we can get at least 12 ships sailing together out there tonight.
My suggestion is that we grab a quiet server, sail out from either PDF or Cuba. Group up in 3 ship clusters if we can, and empty the seas of those hated Navy and EITC ships!

Mary just got her war frigate, hoping to take it for a test spin tonight ;)

I'll try to be there with one of my ships for at least an hour, maybe not more than that because I have to work on a report.

I put this as a Sticky now. A lot of us have this thread tracked for updates, so now it will be easier to find.

Fleet Armada night seemed to be a big success! (We made #5 for ships sunk!) I would like those who participated to let me know which way seemed best, the standard Armada, with fewer ships but larger crews, or the Fleet with minimal crews. (Kinda doing a poll here.)

Next Wednesday is the day before Thanksgiving. I'm sure some of us are going to be traveling, and others will be busy getting ready for the feast with the in-laws.(UGH) Soooo, I'm not going to plan a full guild event for that night.

Those of us who are on then may decide to do something together, like plunder KH or something, but I'm not gonna make it any formal event.

Just to let people know about future plans:
SvS night is coming! Form into two crews, one French and one Spanish, and see who comes out on top after 2 to 3 hours!
PvP, Double elimination tournament! Teams of 2 pirates, each team will be assigned a challenger, and they will go into PvP. The winners to the winners bracket, the losers to the losers bracket, keep going til your team gets beat twice. The team that keeps winning gets to move on. Weapons will be assigned to each combat. Only one or two weapons allowed each time, and they will vary between rounds.

AND, I am working on another Scavenger Hunt list! This one will be done a little differently, and will span multiple weeks.

I think I would prefer a more crewed smaller Armada. When we were travelling in that big pack, we were taking them down fast but the rep given for the crew stinks. I'm mastered in sailing so that rep doesn't really matter to me. We were also too closely packed in for some of it. I think the Fleet's a good idea for sinking ships for the rankings, though. I think I'd want to do some cannonning next time around though.

Was everyone getting decent plunder for Fleet night? Anyone have a guess on how the type of plunder (royal/treasure/crate) is decided with multiple ships firing on one target? When I found Will's ship at first, I was getting 2 royals a ship with us two beating on them at the same time. I currently have 5 in treasure sense for the time being (will reskill it later for sure) but had never had that kind of streak. Throughout the evening my plunder holds were pretty good. Good enough to finish off my funds for a War Galleon. I think I got about 6k maybe.

enjoy just sinkin every thing .........no reps and no gold lol.......that is a good way to make the leader board for the guild...ew can always have the regular plunder nite for reps and gold....

Just an update.

There is no "formal" guild event planned for this Wednesday night. A lot of us have plans for traveling, or just doing things to get ready for the holiday on Thursday, so I wasn't going to plan anything special.

Those of us who are ingame, maybe do someting together, but maybe not.

And for EVERYONE....... Happy Tanksgiving! Hope your holiday is festive, your families are happy and healthy, and the dinner makes everyone undo their belt and the first button on their pants!

Although I don't ever do SvS, I'm thinking that it might be fun to do an SvS night.

Here is my plan:
We get everyone ingame and choose 2 "Commodores". Each Commodore chooses their crews from those players that are available.
One Commodore goes French, while the other goes Spanish.
Each Commodore gets to make his own choices as to how to deploy his personnel. Maybe all in one crew, or maybe smaller crews with multiple ships.

We SvS each other, and anyone else who may be on that server. Do this for about 2 - 3 hours, and see who wins the most battles.

As people come ingame, they get split between the two crews. As people leave the game, they get replaced by newcomers. Keeping the teams equally balanced.

Using Vent will be a lot of fun, too. And remember, there are seperate crew areas there, so each team can have their own isolated channel.

Let me know what you think of this, we have time to change things, if noone is interested.

I think that sounds like fun. This shouldn't be a problem if we find a nice quiet server. I nominate Goth to be a commodore!

Oohhh an idea! Since more pirates tend to log in for the Wednesday " Do Fun Stuff As A Guild Night " (or DFSAAGN for short), seems like a good time to hit some pirate milestones. Maybe bust out somebodies BB, have a party, drink some rum, then get to plundering. Or, watch somebody master something, have a party, drink some rum, then sink ships or SVS each other.
