Swashbuckler II lie beneath yer feat.
T'was a mighty glitch master, very elite.
Until a glitch backfired, much to his surprise.
Turned him into a flytrap, and soon his demise.

Here lies Erich the Great,
He should have paid attention to what he ate.
The rum was tainted,
We thought he fainted.
And that's how Jones sealed his fate.

An Epitaph of Epic Proportions!

Nikki was a pirate with not much to her name
She sailed day and night seeking fortune and fame

She was handy with her dagger and not bad with a staff
And she took on all enemies with a shrug and a laugh

She was faring pretty well, every hurdle she did jump
Until along came a big ole stump, that knocked her on her rump

So ended her pirate career, and I hope you all see
That you should never go hunting for an angry ole tree :huh:

Kat Wildcastle was a brave soul
She tried as she might to defeat the fly traps
Oh but what a pity, she fought them off by herself
You can guess where she is now
look benieth your feet, and take two steps back
for your standing on poor Kat Wildcastle
and she was a wild one at that

for had he had half a brain those

Here lies Sarah
Died at the cannon
When a shipmate who just aquired "Explosive"
Shot his own ship, right where she was standing!

She was uglier than any fella

With her jar a dirt

Combat Lizzy now occupies a place in the great beyond
She discovered the sea wasn't just a big pond

Matthew Ironjaw was a strapping lad,
but with the ladies - his luck was bad.
He fancied a lass that he taught to shoot,
She shot him dead and took his loot!

Here lies Matthew Ironjaw,
He is buried with a giant crab claw.
The morticians decided "what the heck?".
as they could not remove it from around his neck.

He was feeling ill and knocked on Doc Grog's door.

He was training in Tormenta when a rock fell on his head,
So he went to Padres Del Fuego,
And the volcano bursted and he had to go,
But he did not leave in time,
So here lies Fred trying to rhyme.

He really was quite deaf,
So on too Padres Del Fuego,
Could not hear anyone so he did not go,
Boom went the volcano,
He looked up cause' he felt the shake,

T'was a brutal fight,

but now he seems to sleep all the time.

For Norries:

who used to bring us happiness,
until she fell in a hole,
that was dug by a mole,
so now we play in sadness.

For Wendy:

who found a giant hand grenade,
the grenade went KAPOOW!!
so she lies here now,
rotting in the ground im afraid.

Who’s Curse was her name
The beasties of Tormenta

A Good Captain
 

Redcoats were firing, cannons blew past,
I rallied my crew, as a good captain should.
They loaded those cannons ever so fast,
But not nearly as fast as the enemy could.

When I realized my situation was all but lost,
Another broadside ripped through the <i>Sea Wolfs</i> tender wood.
The call for abandon ship was a heavy cost,
But some sacrifices must be made, it was understood.

Standing at the helm, I gripped it with grim determination,
Pretending that the winds were fair and my ship whole.
Everyone knew that it would be my final station,
And so the decks emptied leaving nary a soul.


Down to Davy Jones locker, one last time,
This time for the last, because I'm saying goodbye.
While I might still be in my fit and prime,
A good captain goes down with the ship to die.

**If a shorter epitaph is needed, the very last stanza is the entry I am submitting. Although most epitaphs are very short (so they can fit on a tombstone) I decided to include the first part of the 'story' as it were.**

So with no crew of her own,
She challenged the assasin of all.
Not know'in his true strength,

Without any slack,
He messed his head up on a stone.

Now for the MEANING of the poem!

First line: Obviously he died
Second line: Loved playing with his sword
Third line: Got in a fight
Fourth line: To test out his might
Fifth line: then got bored
Sixth line: so he decided to go back home
Seventh line: but he forgot his comb, his hair was messy due to the fight
Eighth line: so he walked all the way back (shoe untied)
Ninth line: no slack on his showlaces making him trip
Tenth line: banged his head hard on a rock.
