Servers
something really irritating is the lack of server separation they need to separate paying and non paying players so that the paying players stop getting the shaft (so to speak) after all with all these non-paying accounts the bandwidth for paying players is decreased i propose separate servers
|
Having played significantly on both sides of the fence, I must strongly agree. It is more unpleasant being a basic near unlimited, than it is being unlimited and pestered by basics.
Adult vs. child servers would be a nice separation, too. Several of each type (or even just four - one of each, with all the rest being mixed) would be wonderful. |
I strongly disagree. Getting a large mix of abilities and weaknesses is part of the fun.
If I captain a ship with a bunch of high level unlimiteds I sail it differently than I would one with mid to low level limiteds. Its part of the challenge. Same sort of thing on the adult vs child separation. Some kids are annoying but you can just ignore them if need be. Adults playing with kids around keeps you "PG" and not devolving the game into adult conversations (no - not that kind :psmiley35:, well, maybe that too). This is a game after all. About pirates. Kid stuff :laughks2: |

Im not sure how unlimited players around basic players makes it more unpleasant for the basic players, other than the level differences that might make the game less than enjoyable. These are part of the incentives to subscribe. The only problem I have with basic players as an unlimited player really boils down to those that are griefers, and trying to cause trouble, and thier free account bears no real responsibilities other than generating a new email at "whateverfreeemailyawant*com" website out there. |
I agree there needs to be Member and Non-Member Severs because most (not all) of the rude players are basics (again not all basics are rude there are some very nice ones) but i mean we do pay $80 a year some servers for us only would be nice.
I also want to see Full Scale SVS/PVP severs this means everywhere you go you can be attacked by other players it would be really fun maybe even have these servers separate from the game all together where you level stuff by killing other players just a thought. |
But low leveled crewmen give the highest rep rewards, non?

And the ship limitations would make this not feasible (20 ships on each side, in the entire caribbean?) you'll have a heck of a time finding each other. |
I Agree Fully Basics Report ye for the Stupidest Reasons.
|
I somewhat disagree, yet I also want to agree. Here me out. First off, not all basics are noobs and are rude. I mean, I have seen level 40 pirates who once had unlimited, but now are basics, and I wouldn't call them noobs, would you? On the other hand, most basic players ARE usually pirates levels 15 or bellow (the limit for a basic member), and usually are rude, or as Swash said, ban you for stupid reasons. But the only reason they are rude or ban you for stupid reasons is because of the fact that they are mostly new to the game, and take it more seriously than other, more higher level pirates. Also, what if you have friends that are basics, when you are unlimited. Guess you won't see them again, huh? And the same thing with servers based on age. What if an adult player wants to help his/her son/daughter in the game. Guess that they won't be able to play as a family then, huh?
Differences in the game could make it more fun for some players, yet at the same time, could be unpleasant for another players. It really all comes down to how you wanna play. So maybe there could be some servers based on what account you have, what age you are, and so on, yet there could also be servers that allow everybody to play together. In that way, everybody wins. |

All members basic and unlimited can report another user. All reports are reviewed by Disney, and those that are guilty of breaking the rules are the ones that get banned. I had a user argueing with me the other day. Threatened to report me. I encouraged him to do so. Now im still playing, but I dont see him! Reports can and will backfire. Just because you reported doesnt mean the axe wont fall on you, and they make the report process of that very clear. I dont think they need to seperate the servers at all, however offering a few unlimited only servers would be nice for those that want to get away from the basic players (for whatever reasons). I have friends that are basic, had unlimited are now basic, if they were forced to other servers I would never see them again. Thats just not gonna work. |
I kinda agree with zep a few servers for Unlimited maybe 1 or 2 then all other servers mixed because I have great friends who are basic like Jack Sharkbane hes Basic but hes not a noob that reports you for repetitive Doll attuning or randomly swinging a sword on another pirate or having a voodoo staff they should put in a message when Basics sign up to Pirates it should say Only Report for REAL REASONS not Stupid ones.

Good luck getting onto an unlimited-only server when such a thing (if ever) exists. It is fine as is: I don't even hang in areas where low levels can survive. But anywhoo, if such a thing grates you, then you must be cheese and meant to be grated, for it's not that big of a deal.
Of all the neccesary or at least good changes to be done, this is the least if it is one at all. |
This sounds like a good idea actually, cause the basics really just get in the way of the unlimited ones
