i want new ships
Personally i think they should add two new ships a brigantine and a schooner although Disney would turn 2 into 6 (light, reg, war) also they should condier a hardware upgrade on their servers I HATE LAG

Adding more ships was a question often given to the GMs when they were on a few weekends ago. They were curious and asked about "what ships" should we add?
I definately recommended "Schooner" class when they brought the subject up. |
Whats A Schooner anyway but East Indiamen all the way.

I like the idea of the brigantine and the schooner, and I would also love to see junks. I'm not as sure about the East Indiamen. I wouldn't mind seeing a ship like the Endeavor....but I'd say if we have to fight against it I would like to be able to sail something similar to it. SammyH started a thread about new ship ideas http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/f...ead.php?t=6543. He mentioned having a galley, and of course different classes for each ship, plus a master class for each ship when you reach sailing level 40. I'm not sure I'd like to see it go that far, but I wouldn't complain if it did as long as such an expansion adds new skills and other material to the game. Sorry I've rambled enough, back to plunderin'.:piratear:

A Junk: that's a good idea, mentioned before as well (but not originally by me). Ultimately though, the ships have to be varied: if a ship is just an oriental version of a ship, then it'd be a waste of space.

No Firemal :), that's what SammyH had said. Like I said I'm not against it but only if there were enough useful new skills to warrant such an expansion to the current sailing cap, which is level 25. And League I agree, I would like to see variety among the ships.

Now I'm no ship expert - but - what I would like to see is something like: A slightly Slimmer War Frigate Body type, remove 2 mid-top guns, 2 mid-guns and add a few lower broadside guns and 3 more cargo hold, the slimmer shape should give more speed for the same amount of sails.
Don't know what you call it... but thats what I want to build :D Edit: I just realised what I wanted - The Black Pearl Deck on top of a War Frigate Shape with the above mentioned goodies :D |

Yea it would be nice if there were a few more choices of ships to be bought...so many from that time period that would work in this game...
Oh and to correct Zeppers if I may...the Black Pearl is indeed a brigantine...and that would definitely be my choice of a new addition...schooners are nice ships...they range from small to large but are usually narrower then the bigger ships...plus the sails are more triangular whereas the brigantines had the big square sails... |
Strange how POTCO has the best ship battles of any pirate game yet the ship classes that could be avaible aren't.
I believe that POTBS has at least 30 ship classes. One ship idea that I see in the POTC movies are the chinese sloops from singapore. How about adding in those and ship customization to make the game way more interesting? |
