Mr.LoveLocket 09-23-2008 12:36 AM

I think he means the yellow in the boat.. not the fire lol

It seems people never learn, huh Swash? Kidding.
Yeah that's no edit.
First of all look at the water, how could he make it perfectly yellow without messing it up somehow?
Yes that's no edit. Funny bug too.

Chris 09-23-2008 12:39 AM

No - its a rendering issue with Hi Color selections on some video cards :)

I was told it was something that showed up with high textures and details on

which is a reasonable option - given that with higher details and textures you see effects you couldnt see with em set lower

I have not tested that idea but boy when i turned my graphics to full I did see some Awesome differences -- the water is incredibly detailed

- but I Did not see any yellow hulls or red sails

-- so Max I think your probably 100% correct on this one

Captain Seaford 09-24-2008 12:09 AM

OK seriously that yellow boat thing is odd.

Swash 09-24-2008 12:10 AM

Idk how to get rid of it but oh well.

Captain Del 09-24-2008 12:31 AM

Burn baby Burn! Disco inferno!

SangrelX 09-24-2008 12:47 AM

Swash - if it is indeed a video card issue

you might wanna turn down some detail levels -

does it do this right from the start of the game or just later it happens?

Edward Edgemenace 09-24-2008 01:09 AM

Hull goes yellow as soom as it is hit. You have to get the graphics detail to high, log out, log in, and hit a boat (or get hit) to see the banana hull.

Remember to set detail back to low, or Maximvs won't listen to you whine about cheaters in SvS.

P.S. It does not seem to be specific to any video card...the high-detailed animation of a hull burning is missing - medium and low seem to work just fine. It is not like the "snowing" glitch where ALL textures are gone - only the damaged hull goes bananas.

CORRECTION: "Special Effects Level" = High, not "Texture Detail Level"

SangrelX 09-24-2008 06:25 AM

ok so i was told right then
I sat all mine to high but have yet to see the bananna boats LOL

LOL! :D Dude - its a known issue now (though D still doesn't 'confirm' this) - definitely should of been fixed... ;)

By the way - when running the GM's did you (or anyone else) get to ask about SvS issues and if they were looking into them?

Your Gladiator 10-01-2008 01:21 AM

that banana war frigate is odd lol howd it do that?
