Mafia Suggestions
 

I'm not sure if anyone is interested in playing another mafia game, but if we do (I'd be in, for sure!) I have a couple of suggestions, and I'm sure others do as well.

The main thing that I noticed was different in playing on a forum versus playing with a group of people IRL is that when accusations are made the accused had a chance to reply back before the final vote.

I'm sure it was intended to work that way in the forum game, but it never quite worked out that way for whatever reason.

So my suggestion is to add another phase- a 'trial' or accusation phase. It would last just as long as a night/day phase and would allow whoever had the top votes in the voting off thread to plea their case and change people's minds before a final verdict is decided.

I just think there's wasn't really enough time to really get a chance for everyone's character to come out. Adding another phase allows for even MORE backstabbin' and lyin'!!

What does everyone else think? I'm sure there are other ideas to make this game great, I would love it if it became a regular, monthly game- two-three weeks worth of game with another week/week and a half for people to sign up for the next game.

You know, I like that idea lot. We ended the game kind of early anyway, so another phase wouldn't hurt. Thank you for the suggestion. :)

I can finally post. Ever since I was kicked out Mr.Lovelocket and i have been pying on the Navy and the Pirates. looks like the Navy were being spyed on too. Mwahaha

Seemed the game would be moe fun if it were on the live game, after all, it'd be easier to talk to people and investigate them as said to be possible.

Mafia isn't currently going on, mate. ^^

The games already been played already for this round, but judging by the reaction we got from it, it's possible that we will have another round planned for a future competition. :skull:

Aye that is true Jack, but you guys could sign up for the Mafia I made in the Activities section. I'm still discussing with TooHip what I can do.

any idea as to when the next mafia will be starting? i just missed the signups for this round.

We're still working out kinks in the way we run mafia so that we can have a more successful contest. Right now we are still unsure when the next mafia competition will be, or if there will be another. Stay tuned for more information. :mickeypiratezd4:

Not sure what idea you're referring to mate, there was never a "yay or nay" idea posted here. Rather, I posted a statement of what we are currently doing with the game of Mafia.

Just to elaborate on my above statement, if we have another mafia it will be around the same time as the first one we had last year, which was January. However due to renovating the competition and reworking how roles are given, sides are determined, and rules it is possible that we will wait till next Summer to hold Mafia. While we have had 2 good rounds, round 3 was a clear sign that the competition needs to be reworked in nature and we will put off any further mafia until we have worked out the problems we feel are necessary to fix. :images11gq3:

I have to say that as a "navy swine" from last mafia game, I had a BLAST the entire time, despite the fact that there were issues. As long as everyone understood I was not actually such a cutthroat cow like I portrayed myself :)

I know there is lots to be worked out, but I just wanted to let the staff know that even if it ended on a bit of a sour note, I enjoyed it so much. Thank you for your time that was given to work on it, because it really was a huge undertaking! And of course thanks to everyone that put up with me bickering at Bart. He was too good for me! :P

AYE, the bickering made it fun!
