Arrrgh - this past weekend that scoundrel Jolly Roger ransacked our systems and caused several of our Unlimited Access Members to miss out on our Double Gold Rewards event on Sunday!

Avast, we'll make right this wrong! Be sure to join us this Saturday, September 20, from 3-6 PM Pacific Time when we'll extend Double Gold Rewards to our Unlimited Access Members once again. We've scheduled the event for later in the day in response to your feedback!

It appears they decided to give those that got booted the last 30-40 minutes last Sunday a chance to make it up. :)

Oh wow, so they actually admit their mistakes, I wonder how it actually happened... was it too many people coming on? glitching for more gold?

But it still will be double gold only for certain things right? Can you sell a ship and get its full value? And no double gold in poker or blackjack. Darn!

It seems that the gold doubling is only for plunders (land and sea), and quests.

You know the funniest thing about them, they don't do a whole day as they should. A whole day would be WAY better. Then, look at the date, the 16th was yesterday, dunno if you were in a rush or what, but, this saturday is the 20th.

I actually missed last Sunday for a family reunion, so I'll be plundering this Saturday to make up for it! :dancetl6:

September 16th is the date the news was posted.

I was a bum, and didn't go on... though, arguably, coming on POTCO isn't really that much work... arrr... anywhoo, I quite frankly missed it. Forgot all about it. However, I'll gladly use this chance to make it up, should I not be going anywhere. Oh, I also found those hours rather inconvenient, but sweet niblets! that's juicy.

No worries, finally realized what style you were using, just saying that some people would probably get confused. There be no worries, we have no troubles.

What went wrong the last time then? I was online for the double gold weekend both times and nothing went wrong, or was it just that many people were too busy? :wink8:

It s a fluky thing - sometimes the POTCO Servers will 'lock-out-' all players trying to log in - but those who are already in (as long as they don't log out) stay in...

On a few occasions - I've watched as I'll be playing on a somewhat busy server... then it gets quieter and quieter... until I'm almost the only guy standing there (?!?!?) - I go look at the server list and almost everything is quiet... then I know there's a server 'lock-out'

*Note - this is a pretty cool time though :D Towns are empty... The oceans are blank except for navy and other baddies so anything you need is a breeze... its a rare person that actually get to stay on :)

Well the server i was in (something with a 'C') was jam packed, we had to race to sink ships around Padres it was so busy (and race the clock when we had a minute left and hadn't filled cargo), but it may explain why some of my friends missed it, i just asked and they said they weren't able to log in on Sunday too. At least they're making up for it, a bonus for those who didn't actually miss it the first time around. :tongue8:
