GREAT and easy way to quickly lv up dagger
Ok this is for all pirates mostly the ones who are lv 20 dagger to lv 24 dagger What you do is you find an enemy then INSTEAD of going up to it and fighting it use the throwing daggers its slower but it gives you a higher amount of rep I tried fighting lv 38 molusks using the " Walk up and fight technique " 59 rep no crew bonus or double rep. Then I tried the " Throwing Dagger Technique " 100 rep no crew bonus or double rep I reccomend my technique.

Although this is the only way i've ever leveled my daggers, i don't think anyone has ever discussed it here. (how bout that) Very true, tossing blades is much more effective for rep ;)

I like your idea Swash. I can picture it now. Me sitting on a rock in the middle of tormenta cave, sipping some Cutler 100 (which i probably got from a Juggernaut), and throwing daggers at random enemies....... mmmm.... good times.....

But yes a lot more rep. Sometimes when I get bored I do this. |
Once i tossed 10 asp and got 100 rep from an Undead Gpysy :o
That was when i was level 20 now im 25  |
The Asp sounds good.

Oh my. I thought there was some law requiring you to level up daggers in Beckett's Quarry on the lvl 35 assassins, where the green people heal you. Yes, I noticed a lot more rep from using "skills" attacks instead of combos. 5GP per heal, three heals per assassin...cheaper and faster than tonics!

I usually go level up my dagger on kingshead. I like to get the EITC in the jail and the two outside. |
The thrown daggers give more rep because of the greater number of successful attacks used to defeat the enemy. If you use your least powerful swinging attack, non-combo, it might yield similar results.

aye, always a good way to lvl up dagger that way, just takes forever.
|
yep used that method on my good friends the stumps to master my dagger.
|
You dont gotta kill it by knifes..you only have to throw about 20-35

LOL, took me til halfway thru my second pirate to find this out. Most of the NPC's (the green dots on the compass, hence the green people) will heal you for a little pocket change. |
Yeah but they are only limited and all of them are only near navy men

A demonstration. On Outcast, there are two new NPCs. I got let a stump thwack me for a while then finish it off, then run to Dog Lockgrim. Note that my health in the top left corner is all the way red. I then talk to him and I'm instantly all better. But once I do, I can't talk to him anymore. |
yeah this is prob the best way to lvl up dagger altho if you are a lower notority lvl (say 20 to 30) you can always incorp. hack and slash into your combo so you dont slaughter your enemy in a few hits but its still quicker this is the way i have always done it at least on my lower lvl pirate

I have never leveled dagger with just throw. Its just to easy to level it while leveling three or two other things. With the bosses, this can gain alot of rep even with using the bosses with the healers. I still get 250 rep on one of the lowest level bosses so have been doing that rather than using the healers. Though not using upgraded weapons has alot to do with it.

Apparently the Throw Dagger loads Slower so this Technique doesn't work as well.
|
It used to be alot faster, till they added in the new abilities for it. However, those points actually make it viable for at least one point, so yeah.
