Different clothes on each islands??
Hey everyone...
I've noticed that even though EACH island doesn't different clothes to choose from, I have noticed that they do vary a bit. For instance, on padres del fuego they sold mainly skirts and didn't have as many pants options as they did on port royal. Anyone know why, or know where the most options are or where any rare clothing pieces are? I just wonder the method of the reason behind why they do it this way. I mean it does make sense to have different clothes on each, but i'd just like to know where the cool stuff is :) Anyone have any cool pieces they've found? Where? |
The most clothes i believe can be found being sold by the tailor in Port Royal. But, if you are looking for rare pieces of clothing, i suggest doing the clothing quests. The clothing quest in Tortuga gives you a very nice hat :)
- Captain Del :) |
There are no rare clothing pieces in any of the shops.
You can as your level permits do the clothing quests as Codiac mentioned, however everyone has those now, so rare definately cant be applied. The only actual "rare" articles of clothing are those that were rewarded through random clothing drops defeating enemies, and they are quite rare. |
I haven't seen anything rare in the shops.
I have noticed on different islands they sell different sorts of cloths. Different designs of shirts on certain islands. Like Zep said rare clothing i from clothing drops. It must be true that it's rare to. I haven't gotten any clothing drops since clothing drops entered the game. Although I wish they would put rare clothing in the shops, say every holiday? |

Very rare drops, I have gotten one. Bright orange pants... umm, needless to say, they gold sold.
Good idea, rare clothing in shops on holidays ;) |
Well I've got green hair, a green 4-leaf clover tattoo, and a skull bandana whats next lol.

My "Groggy McJones" pirate wears his bright orange pants proudly. Ok, part of that is because i've been a Nascar/TonyStewart fan for years, and he drives the ORANGE Home depot car.. hehe Special clothing items for holidays.. I like that idea. My 2 pirates with the skull bandana's I cherish!!! |

But I just thought wouldn't it be a good idea to have rare clothing on holidays but they cost more than the other cloths? I would liek to be able to buy bright green pants or bright yellow pants. That would be funnylfun. |
ROTFL, no offense intended Zep, just not a big orange fan.

I have my limitations on it as well. I have a few articles of REAL clothing that are Tony Stewart orange that I refuse to wear. lol |
Yea holiday clothes would be cool. But there are SOME variations between shops on different islands. My favorite is the Padres :D i love that island!
|
One of the places i NEVER go for clothing is Cuba, they have about 2 pages of green clothes that vary SLIGHTLY in tone lol. I always go to Tortuga for the corsets, Port Royal for the pants and boots, and sometimes Padres when i feel like dressing royal lol. They should offer more holiday related clothing, maybe halloween we can dress as ninjas... (now that would confuse those that begin playing on Halloween - "hey this is a pirate game i joined what's going on!")
Also, the Tortuga corsets for the ladies you can't get anywhere else, not as a beginning item either :) But a way to get some rare clothes on new pirates you create, pick a clothing item and choose a color you can't buy in the stores. |
Hopefully they will get into the habit of throwing in more special event items as well (available for limited time). Wouldnt necessarily have to be limited to holidays.
Like the skull bandanna we were offered several months ago. |
I love my skull bandana....though I don't wear it too often. It seemed like back a few months ago I couldn't walk past a group of pirates and not see one or two. Now they're fewer and further between.
A special Halloween costume bazaar on Cuba would be awesome! Could have your choice of costumes to wear for the weekend (or just the day)...free of charge, just for fun. |

i don't like Callecutter. I rarely go there my favorite is Adoria Dolores :laughks2: |
On Halloween, I'd love to look like a level 40 Raider for the day. Be fun to do PvP that way, too. (How do you skeletonize a skeleton?)
Hey, waitasecond. Why does this game have skeletons but no ghosts? Piratey, they be! |
^^That would be awesome looking like a skelly people trying to hack you lol
|
I support a plume hat or feathered pants for Thanksgiving.
|
The second clothing shop on the back of padres should have different things available, in my opinion. I mean, what's the use of it being there? You cant dock there, you have to go thru the caves to get to it, so it should have rare pieces of clothing right?

You think they might have a mickey mouse costume in one of the store to wear for halloween night. That might be cool lol. Couldn't you see mickey hacking and slashing his way through the skeletons.
Back to the question. I think they need to create clothing stores on the 2 new islands, so we can dress as Spanish or French. Also, they need to find a way to get more clothing in the shops that way we have more to choose from. Charge me 15,000 for a really super hat i like, it doesn't matter to me, because everyone will not be able to buy it. Please Disney help us make our pirates more original to us. WE NEED CUSTOMIZATION!!!!!!!! Make us chase down fabric from ships, then give us the oppurtinity to have a piece of clothing made that we want. Options that's what most of us want. |

On the clothing subject... I would like them to make clothing, jewelry, and tattoo quests repeatable, drawing from a random pool of 'unique' items, so each pirate may have a bit O variety instead of the same items. It would also allow a pirate to repeat a quest until they got the item they wanted, if that be the case. :) I think they need to extend the "pirates" line of clothing before we go "spanish" or "french" as far as styles go. |
You said the same thing i was gonna say, :) lol. I think so too ;). I also notticed that when i first log into the game, i seem to be standing in an area with people wearin almost the same stuff as me. It's weird. 0.o I thought they were better than- that!
We should Not be sorted/ by the types of our outfits, or the material of our hats....LOl, i'll stop now... :P (JAG,E.D.M.) J<>J Faith Guide ot the Unknown We are now free |
another beef i have is the amount of clothing slots. 3 is not enough! and our original set should not count as a slot since we cannot sell them. so in my case, after i completed all clothing quests, i have 7 slots of clothing. if i want other clothing, i have to sell 3 slots of my favorites or clothing quest to get something else. that is rediculous!

IMHO this pirate prefers the shop in Port Royal for purchases...Seems to be more of a complete selection especially in regards to da pantaloons...But I would luv to be able to get rid of my startin outfit...The vest keeps me from buying certain types of blouses...ARRRRRRRR!
|
A VIL for this thread:
Buy all the clothes you may possibly want BEFORE doing the clothing quests. The quests can extend your 'closet' but once filled you cannot buy more in the stores. |
Tip top tip there Zeps.
|
Aye it makes certain clothing harder to find.
|
I usually go to Cuba for all my clothing needs, but not EVERYTHING is there that there is on other islands.

yes i know this but if you want something else, you have to sell 4 slots if you change your mind later. |
Yes, the Port Royal shops has the biggest inventory. However the other island's shops specialize more in other areas.
