Rocks in My Way in The Catacombs
 

If you come from Beckett's Quarry into The Catacombs, there's this HUGE pile of rocks blocking the set of stairs on the right. If you move your camera above your head & around, you'll see it.
Is it this way on some games or everyone's copy of POTCO? Are the rocks also there on the test server?
Why would there be rocks in front of stairs, weird.

The only way I saw it was coz I was trying to figure out how some people got into the wall that's between the middle & bottom floor of The Catacombs. I know how to get into the wall next to the middle floor against the wall on the lava when you come in if you take the entrance by the gypsy. I was running around & all the sudden I saw the stairs when I somehow was able to squeeze myself thru the rocks. Went up the stairs, & there's a lower & upper platform connected by a set of stairs as well. Lower platform is about the same level as the middle floor. Upper platform is the same level as the top floor.

All I gotta say it is a perfect spot to level grenades, coz you just toss them down over the side of the platform LOL. If only there wasn't a HUGE pile of rocks in front of the stairs, then you could just run up it.

The mercs & raiders really have good aim though, even when I am like way above them lol.

Ive been able to wall glitch into that area, there is a pathway goes for awhile, and down those stairs to that rock. Its like it was an area they suddenly decided to 'remove' so they threw some rocks in the way to hide it.

I agree with Zep. Looks like it was suppose to be another area to be used, but they just barracaded it. If you use that same glitch you talked about you can go around and stand on the lava and lvl grenades or you can go through the wall in the upper part and lvl up on brigands, grenadiers, and gypsies. That is actually my favorite glitch when i want to use one.

So how do you glitch onto the lava? I need to level my nades

I do that too, well I go over and hang out with the Jolly Roger hologram :)

Never used it for leveling grenades.

How? Its a wall glitch.. gotta find a place in the wall that will let you walk through.. Top level of the Catacombs far wall from entrance (at least thats where I use).

I use the top-of-the-stairs on the top level. When you first come in from lava gorge, stay right until you walk into the rock that starts the sairs going down. Keep walking forward until you slide right and drop to the middle level, then turn around and walk to the lava.

Using the wall opposite the entrance, means you have to run all the way around (which can take over a minute.)

Coming in from the lower level, the left side of the stairs going to the middle level have a different lava pool entrance, that can get you up to Jolly Roger then around to "the 'nades level up lava."

The middle level has fewer wall glitches, but if you walk right up as close as you can, to Jolly Roger and jump forward...it is cute.

Remember: bring a friend.

Arr disney got lazy and didnt finish the area so their solution drop a boulder on top and we are done! Lol.

id say dropping in the boulder was easier then editing the map/level itself

because I have the Panda3d engine on my pc here and the way you do levels is tedious
it was easier to just drop a few rock models at those coordinates then to edit the section itself

i agree they just dropped it because they dont have time.

It also makes these areas alot easier to implement/open up at a later date as content line requires/permits.

Not to get to specific, but go down the steps and go around the raider and soldiers. Then past normally a gypsy down the next stairs, then hang a hard left beside the bringand. Go to the where the lava meets the wall and run. When you glitch this wall stop quickly. You will see all the skeletons above you and be in the opposite wall as Jolly Rogers image. You can walk around the wall from there and stand on the lava beside the Raider and Officer.

I never could use the one where you first enter the Catacombs, so i found this one on my own.

There are likely about 100 different spots one can wall glitch in there.

You can actually glitch through the rock that blocks the stairs that everyones talking about if you try. (actually next to it, not through that rock itself)

Anyhow, with these posts, I now know of at least 2 other spots than the one I use.

Can someone PM me on how I glitch in here? I want to level my nades this weekend.

There is no one way/exact set of instructions, its not something can PM you how.
You likely still would not follow, as its all about LOCATION, and its not like theres an X on the rocks where you can do it.
Its likely something someone would have to show you.

Walk along the rock walls, you'll likely find one by accident.
