Hello Hello Gang!

We’ve got some guild issues to discuss.

For the last two months, we’ve been running without a GM. There haven’t been any problems in doing so, we have a great group of officers, but it’s time to hand out some promotions, and we can’t do that.

So here’s my thought…I can pull Sarah from TEC, and start up a new guild with a name as close to TEC as possible, play around with capitalization or something, and then switch everyone over to the new TEC. The major problems I see in this are 1) Getting name approval (how long does that take anyways?), and 2) If the name goes through, letting everyone know. Not everyone in TEC is here on POF, and I know I don’t have everyone on my friends list in game. Well, between all of our friends lists, I’m sure we have 99% of the guild covered….but it could be kind of a nightmare getting it all together.

So, I want everyone’s input on this, and if you know of someone in the guild that doesn’t come here to POF, let them know to get over here and sign up ;)

im fine with that my pirate name is Francis shipbreaker and i joined... Tuesday? IDK but Sam Pugvane knows me an he hasn't been connected for a while so ill be in the game for 4 hours more OK ?

I'm fine with reforming as a new guild. I'm happy to use the existing space in my friends list to help keep everyone in guild intact during the transition.
Maybe we could use some creative letter substitution to keep the name similar.

I did hear someone mention we may lose our guild rank. Not sure what that is all about or where to find it. Or if it even exists. Do you know?

In the end, what ever the guild decides will be good as long as I can continue to be a part of it with all of you. You're all too much fun not to poc with.

So I assume, no contact with Angel. While a missing GM is all I have ever known, I can see where it can make it difficult to run guild matters. I don't have a problem moving to another guild. What happens if/when Ash gets back??

I personally have no idea how long it takes to get a guild name approved. Guess you could check the XD site to see the guilds that are already out there. Worst case scenario you pull Sarah out, and if a name doesn't pan out , get her back in TEC. I guess there is no way to turn a guild over to another pirate.

As for the friends list, guess we would need a master guild list, then have people send the organizer a copy of their friends list. Would be a pain to cross reference, but it is possible. Also people may be able set up a basic account person, or a temp main account pirate to hold a place in TEC to still have access to that list. Ouch my head is spinning.

Just an idea, -if the name reputation isn't that big of deal- would be to use the Dueces group. Would just have to weigh if losing some name recognition, is worth saving a giant headache. I personally don't really pay a lot of attention to guild names anyway, but it may be important to some.

No contact with Angel, ash, hunter, et all, and I've given her two months, long enough. I contacted The big D, and as of right now, there is no way to transfer GM status....whatever....SO, thank you all for the feedback thusfar, and we'll keep it up til we reach some sort of conclusion.

Getting everyone over to Deuces is an idea if this doesn't work out, but i SO love our guild name, I want to try all options til we do that.

I just dont want to lose the fun I have with this group - whatever you decide is cool with me. I have no one on my friends list but TEC and my kids, so it would stink mightily to lose contact!

A rose by any other name still smells as sweet. Well... some of us probably dont smell too good but it's a great lot nonetheless.

I'm yesterday new to the guild. I'm for whatever you all decide. It's not the name that makes a great guild, but the people in it.

I am all for it. Don't care what the name is as long as my family is there. :)
I say we call it "The Gutter Guild" since that is where we all are most of the time lol j/k

Aye Sarah, made the change and let us know. Goth's suggestion was good if we can make it Elite Circle then that works.

I may not be a part of TEC but may I suggest The Elite Circle? (2 or 3 extra spaces added inbetween "Elite" and "Circle"?)

Well, it does sound like a good idea. Can't do GM-like things without a GM. Whichever new name we're going with, I'll be okay with it... Just as long as no penguins are hurt (physically or emotionally) in the process. Just saying.

OK Gang, here's the decision. Got together with the officers, and all of your input, here and in game.

For sanity's sake, we're going to switch over to Deuces Wild. Guild has aready been approved, a lot of you are already there on your baby pirates, and this will just be SO much easier.

I'm going to keep Sarah in TEC till the total crossover is complete. Basil, AZ, and Johnny will be hanging back as well. If you have anyone on your friends list that does not come here, PLEASE let them know.

Our Officers will be the same for now (promo's coming, I promise) Our guidelines will be the same, and we will still all be one big happy disfunctional family ;)

Basil's other pirate, Purvis, is the GM. He's getting a code for all of us to use. If you don't hook up with Basil/Prob/Purvis, try Sarah/Anne/Mary/Elizabeth. We Will Find You! ;)



I'll ask the powers that be here if we can get the forum name changed, but still keep all our stuff. And if so, I'll be here over the next few days going thru it all. Maybe for a little bit we can be "Deuces Wild, formerly TEC" here....we'll see.

OK, Everyone who hasn;;t gotten the big picture!

Ash/Angel has been MIA for over 2 months. We have done well without a GM, but have reached a point where we needed somepromotions, and other guild stuff. By moving everyone to Dueces Wild, we get to keep us all togehter, one big family, and yet we can promote people who have earned it.

If you haven;t moved yet, cantact anyone in teh guild, they can contact me, or Sarah, and get you a code.

Please come with us, make Dueces even bigger and stronger than TEC was. And, more fun, if that is possible!

Just saw this thread today... I was a member of TEC (back with ASH, Johnny, etc) until I formed my own "Serpent Society".

ASH has been playing WoW on the Duskwood server as of late. My trial membership to WoW has expired... but might be playing full time soon. I'll let her know that your looking for her if I see her.

But Big "D" needs to upgrade the Guild options to transfer GM access.

I love our name name too hopefully we can have some form of it in the new guild!

Regarding the guild issue I agree that moving over to Deuces is probably the easiest thing to do.

Regarding having a new guild name approved, I tried it just for kicks shortly after I started playing and it took one day for the name to show up.

Since I posted... I've gotten eight requests on Angel/ASH/Hunter's screen name... this is what I have...

ASH / Angel / Hunter plays "Horde" on the Duskwood server... I'm pretty sure that her name was Feistyhunter. There is a way in the game to leave "email".

Lib Feathers from the "War Wenches" is also horde on Duskwood... her name is Cleiti.

Tokidoki Kawaii from the "War Wenches" is also horde on Duskwood... name Aikane.

Anne McRage (also War Wench) is horde (see a pattern) on Duskwood... names Ragenaid and also Chechee.

Johnny (from TEC) plays WoW on Duskwood... but I don't know his screen name.

I'm not apposed, but I have a question, is it possible to ask Disney to give GM to one of the current officers?

Actually Richard, if you would join us in game more often, (I know, I know, trying to get an education :piratetongueor4:), Sarah has already tried to check on that, and it is unfortunate for us that option is not available yet, (if it will be in the future, I have no idea).

Richard, what are you doing over here? You're supposed to be hittin the books! (miss ya hun!) True, the big D says they have no way to transfer GM status of a guild at this time (yeah, right) so we figured moving to Deuces would just be less of a headache (um...what was i thinking, please pass the advil) Basil is GM, all the officers are the same, and luckily, we now have more ;) When you get another study break, pack your weapons, log on, and move in!

Now I have a request of POF. We appreciate your advice and input. However, please, if you are not a member of this guild, could you keep your comments constructive? Thank You.

FYI: Johnny doesn't play WoW.

Just for Info Richard - Disney currently has no 'Transfer System' in place for GMs and their Guilds... I herd a rumour once that they were looking at adding the option of Multiple GM's - but that was a bit ago and haven't seen / read anything recently.
