I am only a level 12 in the game but I am looking at the price of some of these war ships and I am wondering how do you get that much money?

Well as you lvl you get more money while killing stronger ships, monsters, and you get better in cards. There are lots of guides in this forum to look at. You can cheat in blackjack or kill the group of veterans in Kingshead who probably give 20 gold each. So if you need help in these I would look at some guides or ask a friend. You can also join a crew using the crew searching button ingame located on the Hearties thing under crew, press F for it. Try to look for a crew of like 3+ people for good cargo and good rep too. You should be able to get it at around 29-33 or 35. Also if yo don't have unlimited access you need it to get those ships and lvl above 12 with real money.

Ah I see, I have been doing all that and I have unlimited but I hoped there was an easier way then that like a quest that gives you 10K or something.

Like for the War Galleon I thought I would never get it. But I just got it at lvl 32! Just have to work hard

Clothing/Jewelry/Tattoo/Weapons quests you have not yet completed.

Other side/fortune quests, and you also get to fully master your pirate :)

Ok, I have another question:

You can't cap all of the separate skills because you only get twenty-five skill points?

Can you change your pirate name?

You have to decide where you think those skill points are best assigned - should be a fair amount of posts discussing the pros and cons of all the choices.

As for pirate name - nope, Disney doesn't allow you to change your character's name.

Just to back up to the previous question:

Gold for the most part comes a tad hard - until Leval 30 and the Staff. Leveling a new staff at Kinghead will easily turn in 20k+ in just a few short hours...

Tanking that and playing Blackjack (using the BJ Guide posted in the Card Games Forums) can turn that 20+k into 40+ k faster (if you have the right cards... NOTE - if you are not a good player - keep you 20+ k and keep working staff at groups of larger enemies... it will still turn into 40+k soon enough without the loss of your gold).

You get 1000 exp for the black pearl quest thats it. other than Work for Hire guess no one gives gold quests I think.

Note that wise people try to master grenades before their pirate reaches level 30. Mastering grenades means getting them to level 25 - which means a lot of grenades thrown at the football team in the Kingshead parade ground. And that will get you more gold than the mere 20k to 30k you get when leveling up your voodoo staff.

After you have grenades and voodoo staff at respectably high levels, you will have enough cheat cards to play blackjack and poker (and win at both, consistently.)

But for me, for all of my pirates, the struggle was to get that first war galleon. Once past that hurdle, the challenge quickly became giving away the gold (so I wouldn't be at max gold again.)

Thanks for this addition Edward - Gernades do also add another 20k easy (and should be done first if you have the patience for them :D) and getting them in the early 20s, could be the jump start to high gold your looking for :D

Oh, yea, definetly/ sink ships for more rep points, yo. LOL No, seriously. I do that alot, once i got the right crew and the guild's on- BAM- i level right on up. (cause i slowed down of course ;)) So, yea. :D
