Is it me or did cuba get moved

It seems it got moved to the east for me.

I would guess that this is indeed the case. During the last update with the new clothes, they said, and I quote...

Wow - nothing like godly powers to just 'move' an island when ya want hunh? LOL :D

Chris 09-02-2008 11:46 PM

Ah dont you love the virtual world if an island is to far why not pick it up and move it a few feet closer :D

swashbuckler II 09-02-2008 11:48 PM

lol ok so they did move it good...
also thought they reduced loading screening tping to cuba cause before the loading screen was 3 min long for me and only cuba

Maximvs 09-03-2008 12:29 AM

I wonder if now that they moved Cuba... did they move Tormenta? I sit still 'behind Cuba to the right? (I haven't played in a few days due to issues... so a confirm would be good on this :) )

Nope, they didn't move Tormenta (so now when I sail there, I'm bumping into Cuba for a LONG time). Kind of annoying... :(

Maximvs 09-03-2008 02:11 AM

Oh man, that means sailing AROUND cuba to get there... bah :)

Chris 09-03-2008 02:19 AM

Aww why cant we face tormenta when setting sail not peridia.

swashbuckler II 09-03-2008 01:27 PM

Diego Birmingham 09-03-2008 01:52 PM

Makes no sense to me... make the earlier on quests (those done by basic members) easier? They have little to do being basic members as it is!!!

I dont remember having a problem getting to cuba as a lil pirate... oh well.

I do remember having trouble (when my first pirate was very wee little) getting the required navy boats sunk. The long drive was just about perfect, for my first pirate.

Andrew 09-03-2008 04:00 PM

I dont see a difference, it all seems the same o0

lostinthelab 09-03-2008 05:09 PM

Who was it that complained that Cuba was too far out there? Anyone?

Sure it was a treacherous sail at times, but isn't that part of playing the game? I don't remember having trouble eventually getting there as a wee pirate (done it three times now); and part of the journey there for the doll quest was learning how to sail better or make friends with someone who could teleport.

People are becoming too "everything in an instant." :mybadki6:

With my first pirate, getting to Cuba the first time was a challenge, but really, isn't the game supposed to be challenging?? I remember sailing my light sloop through all that stuff, fingers crossed, hoping not to get sunk... It was one of the best parts of the game, early on.

They do seem to be making everything easier. Has anyone done the tp to padres quest recently? I seem to remember with my first pirate that I had to get raiders for that one, which I could not do alone and had to get help with. When I did it with my second pirate, the raider part was gone., and I did the whole quest by myself, in about 3 minutes.

Umm, Disney? Some of us like challenges! :pirate2:

They should move perdida too. And I have a pretty good idea... when u launch u should be able to pick where u come out of... like a mini map of cuba and u just click the spot u want ur boat to be. That is with any island!

Edward Edgemenace 09-04-2008 12:09 AM

Maybe they could add some occult voodoo magic to to oceans - have all the island start moving around randomly, once a day. Navigating the seas in those days was a matter of luck and black magic, was it not? Charts? Maps? Bah! They were wrong most of the time, anyhow!

I like that idea....or maybe just put your boat out where the dock actually is instead of the same location no matter where you dingy out from.
