New Clothing Quests out on open!

Yay, new laundry lists to go thru!

If you're at least level 10, go see Nathaniel Truehounds on Port Royal (the taylor)

If you're at least level 15, check out Amelia Sunfellow on Tortuga (taylor's assistant)

And for you Level 20+'s, visit Adoria Deloris on Padres (the taylor)

(anne is doing all three at once, gal needs some easy rep...)

Mind you, these quests are LONG, and I believe you need to have slots open in your wardrobe to get and finish them. (could be wrong there, never finished the quests on test)

Have Fun! Post your new threads when you get them :)

EllaSpizwackle 08-27-2008 05:50 PM

Doing all three at one as well... Should be fun!

mlratto 08-27-2008 05:54 PM

sheesh, wish we could drop our original clothes or perhaps expand the slots we have. aside from the original stuff i like all the current stuff i have. oh well.

let me know what you get when your done with the quest. screenies?

thanks!

Dr. Zeppers 08-27-2008 05:55 PM

I think ill do them separately... new stuff goes too fast

But my internet is finicky today, cant even get to pirates!

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg

When the tattoo/jewelry quests were added, we did NOT need slots open to get them.
I have more than 4 tats in a few categories on my pirates.

dropping clothes

Good news!!
I've just finished the lvl 20 clothing quest (captain barbossas outfit) I didnt have to drop any of my clothes they just went on to another page :)

AnneBonny 08-29-2008 12:10 AM

I can't wait, I've been wanting some new clothes and I never have enough money to get the pieces of clothes I want :P

Gabyta 08-29-2008 01:28 AM

I have to start them right now!!!

Tab1975 08-29-2008 04:38 PM

Thank you so much! I has the dumb and couldn't remember where the heck Amelia was.

kelexyn 08-30-2008 04:40 PM

ohhhh man. I love the clothes, and I haaaaaaaaate the quest. dude, having to sink anywhere from twenty to forty ships PER OUTING????? Come on, that's a lot, even for a pirate!!!!!

And no, I'm not kidding; for example, the Port Royal one? You have to sink like, twenty ships for Edward Stormhawk, and for Darby Drydock, my lord. 20 Navy, 10 EITC, 5 Skeleton for the first half, and 20 Navy/20 EITC for the second half.

The Padres one for Barbossa's outfit is even worse. You have to go for relics and cursed this and cursed that and you end up with (on the relics) 10 Navy and 10 EITC, and then when you have to find Mary Rigrage's personal effects, you're up to 15 Navy, 10 EITC, and 5 skeleton.

I'm about to pull my hair out.

Sarah 08-30-2008 04:57 PM

LOL, not only do you have to sink a million ships, but like the other higher level quests, you don't get the loot every time you take one out.

I think for the third round (gawd, I dont' remember, this is taking forever) I had a quest to sink 15 ships, but by the time everything was collected, it was more like 25. At least by doing all three at once, I'm multi tasking. Get loot on one, and it usually counts for all of them.

Another note, these quests give a ton of rep. I've gotten almost 10k so far on Anne, and i'm not quite 3/4 of the way done. If you're trying to level weapons, and keep your rep low, I don't recomend going all out on these until your weapons are where you want them to be.

yeah, I'm doing two at once; three at once would just drive me absolutely insane. but yeah, I noticed that if you got one item, you usually got something for ALL of them. it's like, all or nothing. -.- I like the big rep boosts, but there is NO rep, and NO snazzy outfits, that can be worth this.

Also? How can you sink a ship THAT IS MADE OUT OF WOOD and yet, not find a plank? Just a quibble, there.

deepwonderment 09-01-2008 06:08 PM

I'm new to the game and a level 11... I'm having trouble getting people to crew up to take on EITC flaghips to kill the people on them for the kill 10 EITC people... where can I find them on land?

You can find EITC enemies in the Royal Caverns on Port Royal, the Thieves Den in Tortuga, Fort Charles on Port Royal, Fort Dundee on Padres de Fuego, Becketts Quarry in Padres de Fuego, and although i do not recommend you being a level 11 going alone here, Kingshead.

thanks for the advice

Captain Seaford 09-01-2008 08:46 PM

Dang, I was gonna say "WRONG, it just goes to another page" but then I saw skull's post. but i'll say it anyway.

WRONG!! The clothes go on page 2! lol :P

MacIronhawk 09-01-2008 09:04 PM

If it makes it go to another page you may be thinking, hey I can buy at least 3 more cloths for that slot!
But nope.
It says currently the amount is 4 slots.
One funny thing is how do I have 5 slots and it only lets me have four it says?

We need bigger closets.

icemage 09-01-2008 09:43 PM

THe quest is Tortuga is 15+ it seems like that one is easier. Oh well. For the Tortuga quest I have to get shells from lvl 5+ Giant Scorpions and it doesn't even drop 1/10 of the time.

Your lucky.
I can't get the quest on tortuga for some reason.
It wont even show up in the shop so i'm guessing i'll never be able toget it.
:(

For Tortuga, go see the assistant, she's in the corner of the shop to the left of the door. She will immediately send you to the taylor ;)

I would get help from the persons in your guild, if they woudln't help go to another guild until you find one that is a good fit and help you more.

Deadeye_Andy 09-04-2008 03:28 AM

My wife and I just finished the Trueshound quest first.

Whew! THAT took awhile! She's lvl 22 and I'm 27 so we can do all three.......

The length of the quest is reminding me of the Skeleton Mence one. That took forever simply because I kept getting sent to take out skeletons that were WAY above my head, hehehe. I heard they changed it though.

Anyways, didn't like the pokadotted banddanna around my head, went back to my plain ol brown tri cap. Like the boots from the first one.

Oh, but the pants from the the first one, I mean, come on! They look like hand-me-downs that had the knees worn out of them!! :laughks2:

Stormsilver 09-04-2008 11:11 AM

I just finished all 3 quests for clothing sets. Some of those took forever and a day to finish it. Worth it though. I think I sank more ships this past week than I did since I started playing a month ago.

Sarah 09-04-2008 12:11 PM

Done with all three, phew. Wanted to comment again on the mass amount of rep gained.

Anne started out as a level 39, with 17000 out of 40400 nort., all weapons maxed, lev 20 sailing and 19 cannons. Near the end, I was mastered, gained three sailing levels, and four cannon levels. Still had the last little bit of the PDF quest left, so there was another few thousand in rep that didn't count.

SO.... approx 23k in nort. gained (inclusive of sailing, cannon, and quest turning in...) If I had been getting rep on weapons...wow, what would that have been?

Maybe I'll test this theory on another pirate, but I think you could just about max out a pirate with these three quests alone....(and doing the teleport and doll, dagger, nade and staff quests along the way.)

Anyone have some less fuzzy math on this? I need coffee...

Anyhow, just thought i'd share ;) Carry on..........

jabbered 09-14-2008 10:43 PM

I'm stuck on part of the quests. I'm level 32, never venturing to Isla Tormenta much.

With it the game down, I'm not sure exactly what the other 2 are, but I'm looking for Flotsam. I've searched and searched on Tormenta and can't find them.

Is this a glitch, should I be killing something else? I just never see them.

Sarah 09-14-2008 11:37 PM

When you land on tormenta, got to the far left cave entrance. The flotsam hang out just inside, or just slightly down the first hill.

Mr.LoveLocket 09-15-2008 12:05 AM

I still havent finished these! lol

Edward Edgemenace 09-18-2008 07:28 PM

I like the new quests in general. But I do wonder what they were thinking, with the "Barbossa shirt" and belt. Wouldn't ye rather have the shirt and belt pictured here? And a hat with no effeminate feather?

http://i476.photobucket.com/albums/r...9_21-47-44.jpg

Are we gonna see a quest for the amulet he's wearing? I hope so!

Captain Seaford 09-18-2008 11:21 PM

The only one I finished is barbossa.
Clothing fit for a pirate - Currently 39%
Pirate life - currently 14%

And don't forget about that strap for his gun.
I would like to see that.

Mr.LoveLocket 09-19-2008 02:28 AM

I still can't finish em' man they are hard for me lol

JamiSings 10-02-2008 05:09 AM

I've finished all three. I've heard rumors of a forth one avalible on Kingshead but darned if I can find it. Someone said something about "going into the room that's normally empty." Maybe I have to be higher then level 32 to find it. I don't know. I was hoping someone here would have screenshots.

I believe this fourth one is a rumor.

If I were to guess what they mean by an empty room...
Go up the path, past first arch there is a doorway on the right protected by officers, and some etic, maybe some veterans. You can go in this room, full of barrels (that you cannot search). Perhaps thats the empty room?
I seriously doubt there is any secret undocumented 4th clothing quest.

JamiSings 10-02-2008 03:16 PM

Yeah I'm starting to think the Kingshead one is a myth. But I thought I'd ask.
