Glitcher in Kingshead
 

I don't know if this is part of the game or not but in Kingshead this guy was either invisible or underground because I couldn't see him. He kept on using grenades or daggers to lure them then he killed them. He kept annoying me and my crewmate with the dagger sounds. I was just training my staff is the Angassa Ocean. If this is just a glitch tell me ok. Thanks

It likely was the Kingshead glitch, invisibility/invincibility. Search the glitch forum for information. The sounds would have still been annoying glitch or not. hehe.

Lots of people on the forums know it and its not like i'll steal peoples rep.

Its on the glitch forum but if i were you i would try to EARN my rep and not cheat for it.

Like I said before.. search for it in the glitch forums, its there.

If you wont take the time to search, why should anyone take the time to type it out for you.

And to the rest of you out there, do not be jumping on people for using glitchs in the glitch forum.
If you have a problem with people using glitchs... stay out of the glitch forum, its not for you.

There's alot of threads about the kindshead glitch.

It would seem the Kingshead glitch has been fixed, has anyone tried it lately?

:piratear:I've used the glitch a few times. Once you level up your staff high enough it's time to move and defeat higher enemy's at Tormenta Island, Same goes with the rest of your weapons. I dont like using the glitch to cheat but hey it's there and it's an easy way to level up your weapons. We are pirates of this game so we do whatever is necessary to get ahead with our players.

Whatever happened to pride in accomplishment? At least for me, when I get to the next higher level with my pirate I have the pride of knowing that I did it the way it was meant to be done, w/o cheating. Maybe it takes longer to get there, but I'm not in a hurry.

To each their own I say. I am almost a level 30 and have gotten there slowly, mostly because since around 20 I have worked mostly alone. The KH glitch has helped me complete several quests, but I have rarely used it for leveling, but sometimes just for playing around.

You could look at it as a tool. Padres is the last island you earn a teleport for and sailing to KH from Padres is dangerous for any "light" ships. KH is also a very dangerous place, ESPECIALLY working alone. It makes some sense to use every advantage you can find. Disney has know about the "glitch" for a long time and have passed on fixing it, even through several major updates of the game.

I wonder how many who are offended by the KH glitch have used the Bartholomew Watkins quests to earn some gold while sailing. Have those people ONLY sunk the ships called for, or have they taken advantage of the fact that ANYTING sunk fulfills those quests? What about Sam Seabones. Do his quest takers restrict themselves to Port Royal skeletons as specified?

Until Disney decides to do something about a glitch it is part of the game and anyone is free to use it or not. So long as other players are not disadvantaged by your actions or give you an unfair advantage over others. KH, Watkins, and Sam have no direct effect on other players, except if someone glitching on KH is stealing rep.

Discussion of glitches is one thing, but to berate others for using them is another. Fortunately the discussions here have been fairly cordial.

Interesting perspective, but I think your views have serious flaws. There is an enormous difference between accidentally completing a quest that isn't perfectly coded/programmed and violently, intentionally, knowingly exploiting a shortcoming.

It's the difference between a 59 MPH in a 55 MPH zone speeding ticket, versus a 120 MPH speeding ticket in a school zone. They are both "just" speeding tickets, right?
