I can't wait for this to hit Open! Hopefully the graphic change for the integrated cards will help those with that set up.

Why was the crew icon sometimes green, sometimes red, anyhow? Was it supposed to mean Spanish or French?

Thank you for reposting these here, where they can be seen!

Im not sure I like this first one, I like to 'preload' my cannons with a few different variations, and when i solo'ing I can go to the cannon with the ammo in it I want. If the ammo type follows the pirate regardless of cannons, thats taking away a bit of realism thats in the game (seems like a backwards step). The only reason to change it would be complaints from lazy pirates! It may also, depending on how its implemented slow someone down, as they could not shoot immediatley upon taking the cannon as they wait for it to load with thier selected ammo type.

I wonder if they moved Bowdash's Diamond? I hope not, it's hard to find, and one of the games few big challenges.. hehe.

Looking forward to new stuff on open :)

I just wanted to point out one thing in this set of release notes, and it may just be my ignorance, but have we ever seen a Death Omen before? I can guess that it's a skeleton ship, just seems like the bug that made the juggernaut disappear may have been around a bit longer than we thought.

Would be some nice to see some "fixed" in there related to SvS wouldnt it?

Chris 08-22-2008 09:07 PM

Yes it would zep :( but DONT worry disney is smart they know what they are doing however they think they need to make the quest EASIER than it already was and have time to move the diamond BUT they have no time for fixing SVS bugs that are preventing people from playing bc they hate all these cheaters. yup disney knows what they are doing.

Tuefenhandel 08-22-2008 09:22 PM

Death Omen???????? I have GOT to get me one of those......

(imagine Will Smith in "Independence Day")

Chris 08-22-2008 09:38 PM

lol i cant wait to kick some ship a... Hull!

anyway im getting tired of disneys decisions. Why make the game EASIER its already pretty easy and making it easier only makes people level and master faster and leave the game. Also making it easier means people can do it alone so they dont need a guild or crew which makes the whole guild and crew thing obsolete except for friends.

Im also tired of how they fix dumb things like the peridia diamond and make the voodoo doll quest easier but they havent fixed the SVS bugs and glitches and a whole LIST of other stuff wrong with the game. I mean do they just do what is easiest?

Also they need to make WEAPON QUESTS currently the only way to level weapons is to grind and kill enemies there HAS to be other ways as not to bore the poo out of pirates. I mean why cant they have weap noto quest instead of getting only noto rep you get weapon rep too for doing a task or maybe make certain skills only unlockable through finishing a quest or maybe offer skill points for quests and when i say a QUEST i mean a QUEST not someones grocery list >_< sink X ships kill X crabs bla bla bla bla bla! i want to be PART of the quest not someone slave doing their groceries!!!!

I have been all over that island looking for that! I still can't find it. It must be well hidden. Give it another tomorrow.

Also looking forward to the release.

StellaInTheSky 08-23-2008 04:53 AM

So, since they're giving us new clothing quests, does that mean we'll have more clothing slots? I'm all for new clothes, but I kinda like what I already have, too...

Chris 08-23-2008 02:23 PM

Yea i was wondering that also bc we just had a sale and i know lots of people picked up clothes and now new clothes for quests..

Sarah 08-23-2008 03:58 PM

Almost done with the clothing quest, will let ya know how that works. The reward is for a FULL outfit, so it MAY be in a catagory all it's own. Not sure yet. Iron? Max? You finish one yet?

Mr.LoveLocket 08-24-2008 12:35 AM

is the quest challenging or easy?
and when ur done plz i wanna see the newest outfits lol

I agree with ya there, specially doing the last three pirates solo through every single quest including bb, how about a little challenge. If anything do something about the grenades, and endless boring trips to get more and more.

Be nice to fix the crashing, and svs cheats and such things causing poor game play, than meaningless little fixes in names and such things.

:piratewheelgo2: AHoy mates, i started the easiest of the 3 clothing quests, the one from the tailor Nathaniel Truehounds called "Pirates Life" in Port Royal. When i got to about only 12% or so of the quest i was awarded a new hat/bandanna. The quest continues after the hat with visiting Will Turner who helps you get the shirt with more ships to sink, beastys to kill etc....Here's pics :mickeypiratezd4:
the last one is of the Death Omen seen out back of Kingshead.

plunder on, Grace Squidkidd :12_1_138:

Wow that level 43 Death Omen looks fun to fight.
If my open pirate was on test I would be fighting that.

Nautical Nattie 08-24-2008 10:54 PM

I found that Perdida chest location all on my own and im proud of it, they are making it too easy now (i dont like the fact ships are easier too - not realistic). If you get through the game and it's no challenge or you are not forced to level up a little, it's no fun and less rewarding. When a quest got too tough i leveled up and felt much better after wards. Then again, it's Disney it can't be that hard lol.

On another note, i can't wait for the new clothing items! Im total clothing spaz on the game and im always pestering them for new clothing items. There better be some nice new pirate hats for the gals. Stupid feathers...

StellaInTheSky 08-25-2008 01:13 AM

Ah, thanks Grace! Can't wait for the new stuff to hit Open.

Did anyone else look at that bandanna and think about Super Mario Brothers? LOL. =)

I have not as of yet (why is it Women can do clothing quests faster? LOL :D )

Actually RL got in my way for the past couple of days - and hope tomorrow to do some hard questing on the clothes :)
