Chapter 3 - hanging?
 

Hi im now by the Quest where i need find Jack Sparrow. Im found him but when i call to his partner i get quests. I have finished both quests (sink 2 ships and defeat 8 navy guards). So.. im going to the man back but he tell me "try asking another person". and in the quest are standing "Go back to him...".

its a questbug again? :(. ... this is my 5 pirate and all pirates are hanging on an other quest... hmpf.

I was stuck on that one too. I had to drop the quest in my journal and he says something about starting over.

I re-did the task and it completed. now I cannot find the captains desk in the fort on Port Royal!

HELP!

The captains desk is located on the far side from where you enter. The "hallway" kinda blends in to the surroundings, unfortunately.

Just go straight across from where you enter the fort from the docks and look for a hallway, follow it a very short distance and you'll see a large desk.

Be careful, the guards above do drop down and will attack you.

I'm in the same boat. My first two characters can't get anymore quests because they can't enter any buildings. (Just get a black screen or the doors open and close, but I'm left outside)

I created a 3rd character and worked my way back through the quests, but now I'm stuck at Joshamee Gibbs. I finished the two qusts he gave me and he sent me back to see Elizabeth Swan. Elizabeth then gave me a task to "Find the 9 Rogues", but it never appeared in my journal.

The only entry in the Journal says:

"Return to Joshamee Gibs. (COMPLETE)
Reward: 1 Noteriety Point
Return to Joshamee Gibbs"

Joshamee Gibbs tells me to "Ask someone Else"

I can get other Qussts from the bartender such as "Recover Map" or "Sink Ships" which are quite lucrative, but repetitive.

In short; I'm stuck again.
Anyone got any ideas?

Yes i have the same problem now. I have droped the quest and have now the same... very buggy this quest system!

I should have mentioned that I also "Droppped" the Quest. Now Gibbs tells me (every once in awhile) that we'll start over, but we never do. Still hung up on "Return to Joshamee Gibbs"

I've got to keep reminding myself that this is Beta. Should be easy considering I've been on Toontown Test server for 3+ years.

On Toontown Test im too ;). Do you know how i can get sailing experience?

sailing XP is by using the broadsides command while tooling around in the sea.. u also get it while u are sailing and others are aboard your ship shooting your cannons for you if they sink a ship u get a few XP points but if u buy the better ship with the 2 boradsides and go out on your own get close near a shipa nd right clcik while sailing and choose left side or right side

You need to start the quest again, go kill 8 Navy soldiers and sink the 2 navy ships and see Joshamee again, he will complete the quest. I went through the same thing, I think I actually had to do it twice if i'm not mistaken.

I am now on the part where i am searching for shipmates for Jack

I, too had the problem with Gibbs and completing the sink ship/sailor part. I reported it as a bug, and then the next time I went on, I was able to start over and get past that part. If you are looking for the Rogues (paintings), look under your stuff box. It will show found items in the game, including valuables, things, rogues, and teeth.

I have been trying to kill those guys but they are tough, i also tried in port royal but they are just as tough.

I think I need a Light Sabre!

For the nine rogues, that is something that just stays in your journal and as you defeat navy and skeletons you will recover the rogues. Look in your treasure area in your journal and you'll have a row of skulls, click on each of those and it will show you in one of them how many rogues you have found so far. I don't know how complete this quest is either, I have only two rogues so far. But then I also received a quest from the beheaded Jack to find Gold Teeth and so far have recovered only one of those but it's in the same treasure area as the rogues.

I've also been on TT test for about three years. :)

I killed 8 more soldiers and sank 2 mire ships; ol' Gibbs still won't let go of me.
Guess I'll just have to wait and see what the next release will bring.

I DO have the 9 rogues listed under my treasure tab, though. Where does one liik fot them?

I'm about to sink 2 ships. Not looking forward to the next part by reading this thread.
You have to kill more people? Looks like I need schmoofy to help me again..! ;)

No, you have to go up the hill to get inside the fort. If you are worried you will get killed, it puts you closer to the desk when you come out of jail.

Be sure you have tonic/elixir to re-gain health when you got to find the desk.

I went into the court yard. ran across and saw a desk on the left, however there is apparently an invisible wall around it. I can not get near the desk. Maybe this is the wrong desk?

thats the desk. there is a doorway, if you are inside the nook or hallway, and look towards the desk, the door should be maybe a little to the left.

careful guards can walk thru the walls, cuz if you get in still gotta get out.
