Yet Another Reason to Be Aware of POTCO Bugs/Glitches

When a few guildmates and I were going to invite Isaiah Blastbones to Partners In Crime today, we discovered that he didn't have a guild name under his name when we did invite him but when we looked at the guild list, it turns out we had 2 GMs.

Look at the guild list on the right side, as well as Isaiah's avatar on the right side, and that just shows how serious these bugs can get.

We tried everything. We even had a friend invite him to her guild, but nothing worked. He was still 2nd GM of PIC, until my co Guildmaster, Andrew, tried to invite him, and all was well, he was reverted back to a member.

Bartholomew Foulsteel 08-09-2008 06:36 PM

Did he have full GM powers?

No, thankfully, but it could have been a possibility later on if Andrew didn't invite him in PIC again after he left, because, not even I could eject him while he was in the guild as GM.

Andrew 08-09-2008 06:52 PM

well, i told him to reddem my invatation code, i didnt get anything saying anyone redeemed a guild token. he went to go play poker, and i looked at the guild list again, and this time..only one GM. I heard everyone saying that they couldnt invite him, so i just gave it a shot and it worked! well, heres another screenshot

Yeah I did, but Isaiah is a new member, if I had the option the promote him to GM, I wouldn't. I only have a few co GMs, that, I would promote above the virtual rank of Officer if I could....

swashbuckler II 08-11-2008 01:53 AM

Silver Beard 08-11-2008 03:12 AM

Wow, Disney had BETTER be reading this thread...

Dr. Zeppers 08-12-2008 06:55 PM

Amazing, 1982? How did you do it with no mainstream PCs, no internet...

Probably a high probably there was no YOU yet either... hehehe

Simply amazing.

Charlotte Grey 08-12-2008 07:39 PM

Just out of curiosity: how do you make someone a co-guildmaster? On mine it only allows people to go up to "Officer."

...?

You currently can't - that why this bug was worrisome... it may make a Guildmaster out of anyone and not someone you wanted :)

The co Guildmaster rank is only currently a known rank that some GMs (including myself) give to their most trusted officers. Right now it's impossible to virtually promote anyone above the rank of officer.

Max is right, this bug can cause lots of guild problems, maybe causing some to restart, and if Disney cared about their money, and the costumers who give it to them, they would be looking into this bug as we speak.

Dr. Zeppers 08-12-2008 08:59 PM

So has the duo GM bug been seen more than the one time? Maybe it was just a fluke?

Chris 08-12-2008 08:59 PM

but they are not ^_^ instead they are looking for bugs that help us level and bugs that we have fun with that have no impact on the game.
