You will be able to move ur stuff around the room and what not dont worry. lol
The reason alot of stuff is expensive is becuase everyone is board and everyone will need to plunder to get thier stuff which will take a while.

You will be able to go to your other characters houses on ur same account if you have other characters. All your houses will be on a private island. Dont worry other people wont be able to sail to it. There will be an option next to port of call to teleport to your house. Friends and guild members can go to your house IF YOUR ON. And you can put your house up so people can visit your house in that server and only 10 people will only be able to put thier house on visit at a time.

Thank you for reading this if you want to request more like furniture ill update the list.
Thanks again.

idk about rum soaked beds.. lol.. would remind me of pee in the bed.. LOL..

since when did pirates have tv's and why would they want toys? LOL.. ok, so when did they have teleportation or dead guys and fish dudes walking around either for that matter..

enough critiquing, you did a great job on this Swashy, :D

I'll take a Extra Large house with all the amenities..

Can we get bathroom items in the furniture list? Or we using outhouses [those come free with the littler homes i hope]?

Can i bring my pet parrot and monkey???

Maximvs 08-06-2008 01:10 PM

TV's - a bathroom??? I think its too much VMK and not really pirates! LOL :D

The general list and concept though looks really cool :) (Lights should be lamps and candles though... and no TV's LOL)

IsabelleNorrington 08-06-2008 01:15 PM

It would be cool if we had our own houses..but more like a hideaway. Pirates lived at sea. But as for furnishings, nothing to modern please. I like the game to be accurate historically. It should be just kept simple. The basics. I'd love to make my house all EITC/Navy themed. Great idea Swashbluckler. :D

swashbuckler II 08-06-2008 01:15 PM

Took out Tvs ew no bathrooms. lol
and will change lamps to candles in a sec

Maximvs 08-06-2008 01:31 PM

Actually Bathrooms IN the house would be nasty - as with no running water sewage the whole reason for 'Outhouse' was so you didn't have the smell in the house ;) In fact - it took MANY years for the general populance to accept an indoor bathroom (late 1800's? I cant remember the Discovery Channel Program I was watching)

sammyh 08-06-2008 03:16 PM

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry, but, NO!!! unless there was one door that led to all the houses, then NO!!!!!!!! sorry, but there would be 50,000 houses. really. i just say we have houses on ships that would have gambleing tables and stuff. like the nine rouges would be hanging, etc.

swashbuckler II 08-06-2008 09:56 PM

to clear things up. Its a pirate house what ya expect lol
2.there will not be 50000 houses up you can put your house on a list thing and only ten on there at a time.
Then friends or guild members can go to your house.
I should say your ISLAND will be put on list cause all ur characters will be on that island.
If you have any questions PM me.
Suggestions of furniture i Might add to list

Sassy 08-06-2008 10:41 PM

how about the ship is the house?

yanno, house boat.. lol..

What is the origin of the nautical term "head," meaning "toilet"?

As early as 1485, the nautical term "Head" referred to the bow or front part of a ship. Typically, the ship's toilet was placed at the head of the ship so that splashing water could naturally clean the toilet area (for that salty-fresh smell!). The use of the term "head" to mean toilet dates back to at least 1708, when English privateer and Governor of the Bahamas, Woodes Rogers, used the word to refer to a ship's toilet in his book, A Cruising Voyage Around the World. Another early usage is in Tobias Smollett's novel of travel and adventure, Roderick Random, published in 1748. [copied and pasted from http://www.toiletmuseum.com/faq.html]

sammyh 08-07-2008 12:27 PM

that is what i said. the captains cabin in the back and a below deck where there are crates and chests and you can see the outside of what you got. you cant be attacked while in the cabin or below deck, unless in ship pvp or ttacked by davy jones. and swash, that might mean that whatever unluck 5-year old will have to wait around half a year to get his house (that is if there is one player per 3 seconds in a house) and go annoy his parents whining and screaming. lol. :)

CaptainGreeenee 08-07-2008 08:31 PM

I GOT IT!!!!!!!!!

You know how when you go to do like, parlor games you end up in this place that's not on the map, and when you exit your on tortuga? Well, how about it's the same for homes, and it's just a limit for homes open to the public (other pirates that don't have to be your friends). If you don't like the person in your home, just make them WALK THE PLANK, MUAHAHAHAHAHA

mlratto 08-07-2008 09:55 PM

home sweet home

i DO like the idea of houses...although i think it makes the most sense for Disney to simply put a door on the war class ships cabin.

This would do two things...give lower level players more incentive to earn gold to buy these ships because they come with a home and it eliminates disney from having to build extra islands.

They could include this in the ship customization release i've heard about (if it is indeed a reality)

Once you buy your war class ship you would have to do another quest to get the key to unlock your new cabin. something like sink 5 collosuses (sp?) and 5 dreadnaughts.

the cabins would be different sizes depending on which ship you have, with the frigate having the largest.

Once unlocked you could buy everthing from furniture to display shelves for all your treasures and you could hang the nine rouges on the wall, set up the chess set, etc.

it would also be a place where you could change your pirate duds and buy wardrobe closets in differnet sizes so you could actually buy more stuff.

furniture and other items to put in your cabin would vary in price and quality (i.e. hammock would be low end, ornate four poster bed high end).

and here's something that may work...once inside no one could teleport to you. :pirate2: you would have to walk out to the ship's deck before someone could visit you...once aboard they could come inside.

however once inside you are still vulnerable to attack while on the open ocean.

i would love this addition as i need to do something with all my gold...i'm almost maxed!

swashbuckler II 09-09-2008 11:50 PM

yes but if you put a door on war ship that means basic have no house to sleep in lol

Swash 09-10-2008 12:12 AM

Better idea there would be a below deck and a captains quarters ( the room on war ships ) only the captain and the hand picked first mate would be allowed in the captains quarters and the rest of the crew could enter the below decks.

Dr. Zeppers 09-10-2008 12:45 AM

Ok, quick question.

How many of you are actually sleeping and playing the game at the same time.

ok ok ok... another question.

How many of you pretend to sleep when your in the game? and for how long?
(AFK doesnt count.. doesnt matter where you are to be AFK)

CaptainGreeenee 09-11-2008 10:22 PM

Well, still, forget the idea of sleeping. But i mean, why not have a hide away. A place to store your loot. A place where perhaps you can set up poker and black jack. I dont know, Surprise me!

Swash 09-11-2008 10:37 PM

Houses shouldnt be added to pirates but Private Islands should.

Dr. Zeppers 09-12-2008 02:04 AM

They should be able to do this in similar fashion that they did in ToonTown.

It could appear to be thier own lil island.. but not in the regular game area.

Or house boats ;)

MacIronhawk 09-12-2008 02:14 AM

I like this idea.
Hopefully this will enter the game.

It mgiht have happened already if Pirates didn't release the game early to get more players than pirates of the burning sea.
Hopefully that mistake will all be in the past within a few years. Nothing good comes out of rushing.

JadeMcHawk 09-12-2008 02:28 AM

True, they do have a good setup on ToonTown, wouldn't be a bad idea. It's not like someone would be sailing up to your door that way. Wouldn't have to worry about your loot getting stolen or listening to someone complain about their teacher. (LOL)

CaptainGreeenee 09-14-2008 10:23 PM

Private Islands would be sweet. Even Better if you could say make the details yourself.
Ok, just an idea for a private island costs.

Island:
Small: $15,000 (Roughly size of Outcast)
Medium: $30,000 (Roughly size of Kingshead)
Large: $70,000 (Roughly Size of Padres)

Buildings:
Tavern: $4,000 (Poker Table: $500, Black Jack: $500)
Swordsmith: $3,000
Gun Smith: $3,000
Shipwright: $4,000
Jewelry Store: $2,500
Tailor: $2,500
Barber Shop: $2,500
Jail: $1000

Enemies:
Navy: Lv 1-15 $50 Lv 16-40 $100
EITC: Lv 1-15 $100 Lv 16-40 $150
Regular Skeletons: Lv 1-15 $150 Lv 16-40 $200
French Skeletons: Lv 1-15 $200 Lv 16-40 $250
Spanish Skeletons: Lv 1-15 $200 Lv 16-40 $250
Davy Jones Skeleton: Lv 1-15 $300 Lv 16-40 $350

You can add personal touches such as a wall around the town. A path from one town to the next. Perhaps a little beach.

P.S Your home comes free. You just have to place it.

icemage 09-14-2008 10:27 PM

lol why a bathroom?

icemage 09-14-2008 10:28 PM

10,00 for kinghead is too cheap mabe 35,000

CaptainGreeenee 09-14-2008 10:30 PM

ok, ill change it

swashbuckler II 09-15-2008 01:08 PM

The private islands well they wont be buyable and the padres island, How do we buy it if our max gold is 65k.
I like the idea of house guards and ill add it right away and might change the prices

Andrew 09-15-2008 03:58 PM

there better be a bathroom!!, or we would all have to ...do it.. in the ocean..eew. Good idea with the houses though Swash! :)

Dr. Zeppers 09-15-2008 04:39 PM

Since there is no actual user based economy (they better not change this), although interesting alot of this would not work.
For example buying a tavern/gunsmith/jewelry store, etc.

Also trying to mix them in so all users can see everyones building etc would be a logistic nightmare with the volumes of players, both active and idle acquiring them. (Pretty much impossible) This would nullify the need for various types of houses options I think.

It would be nice for pirates to have a place to call thier own, and if you must... to decorate it with items made available should they ever add such a feature (similarly to toontown).

These "homes" would be private and not something that every pirate sees walking down the street, they would be in your somewhat private island/neighborhood. Like one new island on the map we all sail to, and when we dock, we're in the captains home (with our crew visiting us). You would be able to invite friends and acquaintances to visit your home. Perhaps this "home" would be a ship, makes sense to me too. Maybe even keep in a type of home the pirate has, and allow them to purchase upgrades etc.

Shouldnt be too hard to implement as I'd mentioned they did something similar in ToonTown.

Sarah 09-15-2008 05:09 PM

With the hoards of people on toontown, and each toon having it's own estate with the capacity for six toon houses, gardens, pets, and their very own fishin hole, setting up the same for Pirates shouldn't be a problem. I'd love my own place in the Caribbean. ;)

I do think it should be a ship though, not an island. IMO.
