Wanted: Able Deckhands and Pirates!

After weeks of tavern gossip, we can now confirm the rumors as true - Privateering has come to the Caribbean!

The feuding Pirate "Lords" Garcia de Avaricia and Pierre le Porc are now actively recruiting Pirates from all over the Caribbean to join their ranks and take up Privateering under the Pirate "Lords" respective flag.

Interested Pirates should sail (or teleport) to either Garcia's Isla De La Avaricia or Pierre's Ile D'Etable De Porc to get their Privateer's license. Both Avaricia (the Spanish "Lord") and le Porc (the French "Lord") are providing new recruits with basic provisions and licenses to Privateer.

Pirates that enlist have a chance to make a reputation for themselves (not to mention, a few gold coins) while engaging in villainy and destruction! Enlist now and establish your legacy as a Spanish or French Privateer!

Yeah good luck in trying to launch a ship any where lol. Did it this morning loads of times but now no luck. Not even a little sloop lol. They should have a time limit on how long the ships can be out because no one wants to leave and they just pass off the person sailing it and you just have to tp to get ammo and tp back.

hey i didnt notice this but did they remove the timer? bc now (if ever) would be a great time to have the timer.

They did remove the timer... *draws a blank heh* :)

So they did that makes NO SENSE @_@ before we didnt need a timer bc it didnt affect anyone but we had a timer when we need a time for those who sit around all day they get rid of it.

how do you repair your ship?

the ship can be repaired ONLY if it is not moving :)
(now to be honest - I cannot remember if the captain of the ship must start repairs first - letting go of wheel - or not... can't remember - not well today :) )

nope anyca repair ship as long as no one is at the helm

when youre not moving, what do you do to start repairs?

They got awsome pictures of spanish ships but the flags on the ship look ugly compared to when they were on test!
And I mean ugly!
Do I need to change my graphics to see the red white and blue on the french ships?
Because all i'm getting is a dark blue, light blue, and this very weird light red color.

was a fun day at sea sending all those spanish ships to davy jones locker. had no problem lauching u just have to watch the pvp screen for a opening, longest wait i have was less than 5 min.

Well for me it was a fun time sending all those Frenchies to check out the bottom of the sea. It was fun and awesome.

I had a great time with the SvS. Only complaint is not really a complaint. The Gallaana Sea averaged 6-3 Spanish to French. I don't know if it was the same on the other seas. I would like to see a feature added that would allow no more than one more/additional of either fleet on SvS than the other team has. It's a pain in the rump to get camped when there are 5-6 ships sitting off Porc chop island and there are only 1-2 ships to fend them off.

That being said, I still got 14 kills in a row yesterday afternoon. :D

It was fun to do the SvS when you had a fighting chance to leave the island. It's really annoying when you can't even get to the wheel before being sunk because of the campers! SvS isn't going to keep anyone around if that's the way it's going to work. They have a time limit in PvP, why not SvS? Your ship should only be allowed out like 20 minutes at a time. Then you sink and have to start over from the island, not back on your boat.

For me I see the colors look funny.
It looks more realistic than just red white and blue but i miss the old colors.
I see a dark blue light blue and this very very light ugly red color.
I see spanish flags fine though.(I think)

What about that "score" and "bounty"? Does that count for anything? Can you cash-in that bounty you earn before its taken away if someone sinks you?

yeah what are the bounty and score. i asked a guildy and a few others but no one knew what they were there for

you get money equal to the ships bounty when you sink it. come on though, this is not fair. they need to have servers where say only normal ships can ship pvp. i am tired of having 2 frigates vs. 70 war frigates with lightning. this sucks.

Hi just joined the Forum and I think POTC is ace, been playing since May and at Not. lvl 27, Privateeering is ace isn't it....

I think this a valid point below, there's nothing worse than someone having more cannons than u and making mincemeat out of your ship (although I guess it can be fun as well....) :laughks2:
But there's nothing worse than some War Frigate/ Galleon Capt with Full crew, fully loaded with lightning, fireballs, etc..., just staying off either Spanish/French port right next to you and other ships and blasting you away when not of your all crew are aboard yet or your trying to figure out which ship is hitting you. There probably should be some sort of zone around Avercia/De Porc where opposition can not enter but still fire at you.
On another point (if you'll bear with me for those still reading...)
I was playing last night on Vachira server and it was pretty even between French and Spanish you could workout who had sensibly got some crew, who didn't have crew, who knows wear to hit your ship and who to avoid, who to stick with and those War Frigate/Galleons who only go for small ships then cut and run soon as they get hit - Obviously it was the French ships who did that - its not like them to run so easy is it??:psmiley27:
