Underbars?

I came to the forums to find out that we have 2 bars under our names. Anyone know what these are for?

emmalemmalemma 07-01-2008 12:58 AM

yes, they are quite fancy.. It looks like we're being ranked on our usage? I'm a level 6. I wonder if there is a level cap? And do we get special skills when we level?
:laughks2:
strike that, now I'm apparently a 5..
to edit again, apparently I'm a 4 now..

Ameila 07-01-2008 01:04 AM

It is to show our 'level', based on popularity and amount of posts.
Im not sure of all the details, seeing that they just added them.

Nick 07-01-2008 01:20 AM

Testing atm, will have more details soon :)

Wheres the Forum Stumps?? I want to level up!!!!

dangerousden 07-01-2008 11:59 AM

Do we have a version of Tormenta on here so I can level up too?

Bilgepump 07-01-2008 12:21 PM

I don't use the default dark skin, I use the "light brown" skin.

I don't see bars, I see two lines of full-sized text like:

Points: 338, Level: 3 Points: 338, Level: 3 Points: 338, Level: 3
Activity: 65% Activity: 65% Activity: 65%

Gabyta 07-01-2008 01:24 PM

hahaha we need to level up here too?? oh weeeeelllll!!!!

Jason Redskull 07-01-2008 01:26 PM

Neat... do we get a "Glow" when we level too?

Sarah 07-01-2008 02:19 PM

I can only see it with the default skin. Is it going to work on light brown? Default hurts me old eyes...

Swash 07-01-2008 07:29 PM

Maximvs 07-01-2008 08:07 PM

Swash, your stats will change regularly as views / posts are made, and they are still working it in... give it a few days to sort out :D

Green and orange bars?

Hi i havent been on forums for maybe a month now and now i c green and orange bars. what do those mean?

fire monkey 07-12-2008 01:03 AM

i think that the green bars are your noumber of posts and orange the number of threads you made im not sure but thats my guess

rkpaddy 07-12-2008 07:57 AM

If u click on your name or someone elses name and look at the bottom of the box it shows what they are for. The orange is for points and the green for activity. For more info about the points go to the top of the page and click on "Quick Links".....then click on "vBExperience"

Also if you click on your name and then "View Public Profile"......you will see some tabs that say "About Me", "Statistics"......click the tab that says "vBExperience"......it goes into further detail about the points.

So apparently you can gain levels on the forums just like the game! Wow awesome! lol.

Ameila 07-13-2008 05:33 PM

From what I understand, they are to mark your level on the site, based on your posts and activity.
Hope this helps!

Aliese 07-13-2008 09:33 PM

I don't think it's working... The percent deal hasn't moved, and I didn't level up when I'm pretty sure I should have. :sadmh9:

Okay so I did finally level...but the percent deals are still weird. LoL

Perhaps I can Help.

It's pretty much a Leveling System for vBulletin Forums. The Orange Bar is your Level (Although I'm not sure why it shows a bar for Level, could that be a clue that there is a cap?), The Green is your Activity% (Not sure how it's calculated, I'm currently reading things about it. The Blue Bar (Not under name in post like other 2 bars) is your Experience.

Also, when you click on your name in your post, you will see all 3 bars in the drop-down menu.

Hope this helps shed some light on this. -nickopet2007

EDIT: Currently Figuring out the amount of points you get from each activity that gives you points. (A Mod/Admin can edit this post with these values.)
