There are no posting limits as far as numbers are concerned (that I know of).
Content/Pertinence of posts however is reviewed regularly. :)
You are limited to a specific number of PMs.

Do you have a specific question about it? This is where you can tailor your POF account settings to best suit your own preferences when utilizing the site. Available options may vary from pirate to pirate. There are some additional features available with a subscription donation to the board. More information on that can be found here:

Welcome, I'm full of help. I'll answer your next questions, should they not fall from this to next Saturday.

Full of help, indeed I am.

JollyRancher 07-04-2008 02:58 PM

so for a subscription do i have to pay?

sammyh 07-04-2008 04:35 PM

yes, you do have to pay. how much varies on what subscription. like i have the signature subscription its 1.66 a month or 20.00 for a year.

JollyRancher 07-06-2008 01:38 PM

so what does the subscription do? I mean i dont want to pay for something when i dont even know what's going to happen.

sammyh 07-06-2008 05:33 PM

well, the signature subscription gives you the right to use a sig for your posts and a userpage. to see, go to home, click on your avatar, go to "paid subscrptions" on the list and look. you have to use paypal, though.

EDIT: or you can use zepper's link he put on his post.

When do Moderators stop checking my posts?

TooHip 07-06-2008 10:52 PM

From the new user welcome on the front page:
Quote:

Normally it will take 1-3 weeks so feel free to post normally as your posts will appear once they are accepted.
It all depends on when you sign up in the review cycle.

Everyone at the POF is friendly and willing to help.

JollyRancher 07-14-2008 11:59 PM

is anybody going to answer my question i posted like a week ago?

League 07-15-2008 01:03 AM

The screenshots you take get saved to a file. You can open them, view them, delete them, all with ease. I don't know if there re multiple test servers, but an open server is the actual game whereas the test is where everthing gets tested first.

Scanning for ealier Q's... ehp, good.

Molk 07-15-2008 01:19 AM

When you take a screenshot in the game (F9 on PC). It creates a jpg picture file of your screen in the Pirates Online game folder using filenames that start with the word "screenshot".
Pirates Online default folder:
C:\Program Files\Disney\Disney Online\PiratesOnline

There is both information on that in the guide at this link:

Jack IronMalley's Guide to image hosting...

The difference between test and open servers? Open servers are servers open to public. This is where everyone playing the game (to play the game) are generally at. All content on these servers has been reviewed and gone through a certain amount of testing proving it stable enough for the "open" or public servers.

Test servers are Invite only servers, different version of the software (test), and different servers used for pre-release versions of the game. They will put patchs, upgrades and new features here to be tested by invited test pirates before putting them on the open/public server. Yes they are playing, but with the responsibility of reporting all bugs, glitchs, and perceptions of proposed adjustments on old, current, and new content (whatever the devs want to test out).

Disney currently appears to invite pirates to be test pirats based on thier account tenor, and usage on the open/public servers, but they do what they want to do.. not always consistent. :)

JollyRancher 07-15-2008 09:29 PM

ok thank you. but i still cant find my screeshots. do i have 2 save them or something? If so, how?

sammyh 07-23-2008 01:15 PM

go to search from the start menu. type in screenshot. search all files and folder. send to: my documents. go to an image hosting site (i use tinypic.com)
and upload your image. write down the img code, or copy and paste it onto the posting box that pops up when you click on the little mountians.
