war sloop or war galleon?
 

K so its been kind of hard for me to get money lately and i have 14k I have 15 sailing but should i just buy a WS when i have the chance or save up for a WG? I find it much easier to sink ships with a sloop since it goes much faster and more manuvarable yet ive been using my reg galleon for about 2 weeks now. Its would also take almost double the time for me to get the money for a WG because of the price. Imputs anyone?

PS. Im not getting a war frigate just yet

Well, I've always gotten the War Sloops first...because I have this thing about doing stuff in the "proper" order. :laughks2:


Anyway, if you're not a spaz like me, save for the War Galleon - the War Sloop's not a huge improvement, and it carries less cargo than your galleon. Once you're rich (which will happen if you play long enough, LoL), buy 'em all. :)

I never bought a WS.. so.. in my case I'd say: wait for the WG

Shipburn the sloop is much faster and turns well, I have one, but never got enough cash up for the Galleon.

I have used the sloop quite a bit to run down other bigger ships if you spin around them and keep firing (if you are sailing alone) you can make short order of the bigger ships. Hope this helps a little at least.

Save for a galleon, the sloop is basically just an expensive frigate :P

I bought the War Sloop first, it does actually work better for me to battle enemies.
It may be expensive, but it basically lives up to a frigate, and is alot faster.

If you need speed just buy a 1000g sloop, then when you have tons of gold use it twords a war sloop.

The WS is low to the water and you can duck some shots. I use it when I don't have a crew. I use my frigate when I get crew.

There are things I hear, a dark force a'hunting. Seems that the less cargo you can hold, the higher the quality of said cargo. Regardless, ships are the main items of the game to buy aside from pistols of course (what else improves so drastically?). If you like the sloop, get it. I drove my friend's War Galleon and changed my ambitions a little: it's tall and slow. Seems like it will turn over when turning. It also doesn't allow for much of a front view...

War Galleons handle like pigs in mud. But I love them. Lots of cargo and the most broadsides of any ship.

War Sloops are just plain fun to drive. Zippy and maneuverable, what's not to like?

I love my galleon. And when I do cannons on it I use the two back ones. They point forward.

I got a war sloop maybe... 4 days ago(?) and I'm already back up to 35k gold, so I'd suggest the WS then galleon. But then, it's all a matter of speed v. cargo/boom.

war galleon of course if any of u pay attention at all u would ee that a regular frigate cost much less and either matches or is superior to a war sloop in every way

That being said, you've got to take into account both

A: the frigate's hull weakness in the rear
and
B: the sloop's superior speed

If you're a good sailor you can take out a Revenant without taking a single hit with a sloop, without Full Sail or Come About.

get a war galleon it gives u much more gold then a war sloop and if u want a war sloop just plunder with your war galleon and possible u can get a war frigate later

What I'd do is set aside a module of 500 coins. If by playing poker or by playing blackjack, you can get that module up to 40,000, You can get the War Frig. As of now, I suggest the War Sloop.

your best bet is to save up to 40k then get the WS, that way you still have 20k when you go for the WG. pritty much how i did it.

Well theres no point in that because it would just be easier to get a war sloop to quickly get the money for a WG

I go more on the solo.. but i do use light sloop just to have some fun sometimes... its funny how u can take out a reaper or a MOW with LS and not even get hit.

when i get a war sloop almost everytime i get hit it is in the sails and it slows me down. I stick with a war galleon, well in my case i bought a war frigate first, and i kept my light sloop from day 1

i can take out almost anything, iv maxed rapid reload and lightning as well as barrage. takes out almost any ship within 4-5 hits

Too bad they couldnt make the LS cargo room bigger. i would be taking out my Ls to take out MOWs that i cant do with my galleon.

u should get a WS simply because wicked cool peeps drive WS

The War Sloop is essentially a weak standard Galleon that is more maneuverable.

war galleon. it has better broadsides holds the most cargo of all the ships and has a stronger hull:piratear:

What ship to buy? What ship is best?

These are things that input from others can help one decide. May help bring forth facts about each you are unaware of for example. But when it comes right down to it. Its a matter of preference. A pirates individual preference should take precedence, keeping the feedback from others in mind but taken 'with a grain of salt' as they say, because thier feedback is in no small part based on THIER preferences as well.

There is just as many people that will swear by the War Frigate, as there are that will swear by the War Galleon, as there are that will swear the War Sloop.... and so on...

Personal preferences, play style, sailing style, and preferred sailing tactics will determine this in the long run. Other pirates do not know how YOU like to play, sail, etc. So although thier input may be informative, and helpful, it should never be considered as the determining factor.

That being said... I really really really love War Galleons.

If you want to drive a bus get the war galleon it is soooooooo slow! lol
me? I like the war sloop but thats second favourite to the war frigate
