I think it made more sense, but also, I've gotten used to the new colors...

Ah, the scroll thing always got me. Minor fix, but a cut no-less to a little annoyance.

larkija 06-16-2008 09:02 PM

Ugh, I got so used to it before...

CrimsonRabbit 06-16-2008 10:05 PM

Are crewed players still purple/lavender?

Jason Redskull 06-16-2008 10:12 PM

How bout making your guild-mates a different color... like a nice "Angel Yellow" or something

Chris 06-16-2008 10:41 PM

i think this is should be how it is

Enemies - Red
Friends (on your list) - yellow
Guild mateys - Blue
Crew - pink/purple
Other players - Green
npc - Orange?

So far, I like the players Blue on Radar, as a color blind player, it really stands out more. Red and Green however are still problems, I will have to pay a visit to Beckett's Quarry to see how that looks.

I also agree with this one

Grizraz 06-20-2008 12:48 AM

How about giving the players the option of assigning colors from a predefined list of choices? Many games support feature such as this and should satisfy all players.

Chris 06-20-2008 01:24 PM

i like that idea as well just assgin your own colors im sure the scripting and coding on that wouldnt be too difficult then again it is on a massive scale but they do this for a living

goldlover 07-11-2008 11:54 PM

agreed on that too

Choosing your own colors sound like it would cause much conflict.

Whenever a newer pirate or even some confused pirate would ask for help on here, you might describe the enemy as the one with the red name. Also, having to choose them could make your gameplay slower for so many others. I know mine was very slow as I played, and I wouldn't want it to be any slower.

Even though you can tell the other player about these things and the laggier players to not set their colors, it would still be VERY confusing.

I believe Disney is leaning towards following it other large online game(s). The other game I play that is Disney owned is Toontown, and they have very similar colors for the characters.

Your freechat friends - Blue
NPCs - Green

There are other colors, but these these are the similarities in the two games.
