What Is The Best Place For A 28 Ten To Earn Rep?

Hey, I know I posted a thread sorta like this before, but Amiela is my main character, and I seem to be earning rep 5 times slower then average.. 0_0
I got the nerve and high leveled weapons for it - just don't know a good place to level up. Thanks.

kingshead padres** and tormenta** for lesser used places try cutthroat

League 06-15-2008 12:21 PM

Cutthroat was good for training before the Spanish got there, and it certainly didn't get worse. Cangrejos is good with the new pirates I guess, Driftwood (or is it Rumrunner's?) with the giant crabs.

The backyard of Padres is still great for all, and Kingshead has more for you there than just grenade training. The baddies of Tormenta may still be a bit much.

Driftwood have giant crabs on them so maybe there.

Really not enough information. The question is what do you need to work on, and are your skills pretty much even, or ignoring grenades or something.

I would guess El Suduron is good round about area for several things to work on.

El Suduron and The Catacombs are good. Stumps are a great way to level up too. Kingshead and Tormenta Cave are good too.

As a pirate develops it gets harder to get reps.

I have found that it works better for me to save most of my skill points, not 'beefing up' any of my 'skills' as it may make it harder at first, but the weaker skills, doing less damage, hitting the mob more times later on gives better reps/results.

Killing high level mobs, with little or no help, is the only way to get high reps. Another trick is to switch weapons while fighting the mob, you can get more reps that way.

Saving skill points or only putting one in each slot has worked out well for me. This gives you a chance to use the skill, but keeps it's effect low giving you more reps.

As said before, El Suduron and the Catacombs has been my favorite places to lvl up.

Good Luck. Pillage Hard.

Thank you all so much - but I have one problem.
Half the great places for me to level up are jungles.
See, I cannot, as of the new quests update, go into jungles.
An error of my computer pops up - and take FOREVER to go away, and gets my computer really laggy with problems. It says it has something to do with POTCO-but it annoys me to no end. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. I just need leveling in overall notoriety, really..
Im one level away from mastering the doll and only have 25 minutes left on double rep! :psmiley27:

Thank you all, again!

I would suggest killing a whole bunch of crabs at Devil's Anvil.
Kingshead is good for killing many Navy officials, as is Padres Del Fuego.
The best place for undeads is Cutthroat Isle, on the shore. It's a lot easier, and the brigands are more spaced.

Cutlass lvl 16; Pistol lvl 7; Doll lvl 24; Dagger lvl 8; Grenade lvl 5
Cutlass and dagger: Beckett's Quarry. Stay in the first chamber for your dagger till you level it up more. Then move into the second chamber with the assassins. Just try to kill as many enemies in succession and ONLY use potions if you go low during a fight. Between fights, use the diggers to heal you for 5GP.

Doll: Tormenta CAREFULLY. I'd actually wait on this one until you got hex-eater shot. Then attack the mollusks with the hex eater. Once they stop moving, nuke them with your doll.

Grenade: Start out on Kingshead. Behind the fence in the outer courtyard. You can probably get to level 15-17 there. Try to save the skill points for your grenades. Adding them in as you get them will reduce your rep quickly.

Once you get there, you should be in your mid-thirties notoriety-wise. Then I'd move on to PDF's Catacombs (see my post on "I have achieved TOTAL MASTERY") or Tormenta. Again, in this case, go after Mollusks if you can, and use hex-eater to shut them up.

If you go to Tormenta, it's always good to bring a friend or two. Healing and crew bonuses ALWAYS help.

I'm in love with the new Spanish and French captains.

Not that I wanna have their little skelly babies or anything. But they give good rep AND a nice chunk 'o change.

BHAHAHAHA!!!! Skelly babies? Oh my goodness. *dying of laughter*

Ameila 06-20-2008 09:53 PM

Skelly babies would be a bit disturbing.... I mean how could they.... Never mind...

aqamarina 06-20-2008 10:20 PM

For your pistol, go into the catacombs of Padres del Fuego with a group of friends. Lots of skeletons to kill.

If no one has said this, The Kingshead Glitch... Lvl up all day (minus pistol) without dying

You gotta be careful though. There's two versions of this glitch. One that works for everyplace on the island, and one that only works so long as you don't leave the upper fort.
