Father's Day
 

Beware the Fathers' Day quest. Your big reward after finding Teague (I had to sink 14 ships to find him) is 2+ hours of double rep. The quest is available through Sunday so time your playing accordingly. Allow 2.5-3 hours for the quest and your reward time. This **MAY** be 2 hours of play time and 2 clock hours. I had to log off for a while and when I came back I still had all my remaining time. I had to logg off again with an hour left and have not been able to get back in to see (wife is using that computer for RL stuff [ya gotta hate RLstuff]).

I had the quest done in about 30 minuets. O'course I went straight for colossus and got Teague on the first try.

ok heres the deal

- Once u finish quest u are given x2 rep
- this lasts for exactly 3 hours after compleation of quest
- if u log off/ get dc/ get banned it will not stop the clock it will continue to count down
- typing /x2 will tell u how much time is left on your x2
- this even will last though the end of fathers day

I found him on a Bulwark (Lvl 7 I believe) this was after 10 Vanguards and Centurions.

i found him on me first cent :) right outside of driftwood it actually attacked me before i even knew it was there so in a way he found me

I've also noticed that pirates that are in the double rep time, have an icon next to thier names floating above thier heads.. I had to chase a guy down to read it! says something like (2xP)

I sank several higher level ships before I got him from a Bulwark LOL I leveled up my pistol -2 doll levels and one Not level before my time ran out! YAY! I am working on the staff quest now and still had it during the first part where you gotta get those Gypsys-grenediers and raiders, stayed thru the stump and then I think it ran out while I was searching skellys for the shrunken head LOL . . . I wish we could repeat the quest and do it again for another 3 hrs ;)

It has been more than 3 hours since I started, and at least 2 since I had played when I just signed on--only had time for 1 sea voyage to fill my galleon. The time had stopped and I was able to continue where I had left off.

double rep helps alot i stayed in tormenta the whole time and earned 16000 rep and 4000 gold lved up dagger three times lved up gun once lved up staff once lved up sword once i feal sorry for the poor sap who misses this

@ Bakteri - You can usually find Galleons (Bulwarks) near Port Royal and near Tortuga, The higher lever Galleons would be near the wild Islands (Rumrunners, Driftwood) The Really big ones are probably near Kingshead and Outcast, etc. . . . . the farther out you go the bigger LOL

Bulwarks haven't wielded Teague for me. My computer froze out of the game while I was on a friend's ship; by a lucky stroke, I got Teague during the ordeal. I used the 3 hours with that pirate.

Anyone want to crew up for the rep bonus? I've been on most all the quiet servers, and couldn't find a crew.

I got Teague sinking a Centurion Frigate.
The only class ship it did not appear to check for him on, was the "Sloop" class.

Galleons and Frigates seem to be acceptable.

its either /2x or /x2 i cant remember but it wont hurt to try both, I already tried it :P

I leveled up sailing twice during my "double time". Finally reached level 15 where I could buy my war galleon and get treasure sense. I'm a lot poorer now, but after just one voyage I love my "Crimson Warrior" war galleon!

After trying the bigger guys around Padres (which was difficult since it was nothing but EITC as far as I could see) I went over to Cuba and prowled the waters between there and Port Royal and I eventually got him off a Bulwark. I actually did the double rep on both of my characters. On the first, I sunk a total of between 15 to 20 ships before finding him, on the second it was 10. But from what I have been hearing, most people have been sinking those 15 to 20 to find him. Also, sailed with a guildmate and got Teague from a Panther for her just outside Royal.

What I've been recommending to my guild is simply skipping over the higher level Navy ships and just fire away at the Panthers and Bulwarks between Cuba and Royal.

Problem
 

The cap'n teague quest is short and pretty easy for some poeple but not me. Everytime i go to tortuga, there is no stinkin buildings!!!!!!!!!! So when i need to talk to people at taverns, get tatoos, or simply buy ammo, i cant do it. That means i cant finish the quest. What do i do?

Hmm, try logging in again, it should clear up the issues. =]

If that doesn't work, find the "C:\Program Files\Disney\Disney Online\PiratesOnline\cache" directory and delete everything in it. That's where all the textures are stored. It will redownload them as needed.

Or, as soon as you're on the empty Tortuga, bring up the map and return to Tortuga. I've had that clear things up sometimes.

Found him after 4th ship.
1. Centerion
2.Panther
3. Centerion/I Sank
4. Bulwark - FIND

I think its pretty safe to say its RANDOM like all the other quests :)

In case anyone is still wondering, yes you can log off and resume the x2 when you come back. It may only last as long as the quest does, though, so hurry up and level up, me hearties!

Yes you can log-off and the timer stops but i do believe it will go away at midnight tonight

So, after you find him, do you have to, like, "claim" your prize or something? I logged in again this morning and it said I had like 2 hours left, and I was all like, "For what?" I'm thinking I might have missed something...

today the quest is over but maybe the rep contiunes

I made sure to use all my double rep minutes on each of my pirates through the weekend, but definately wondered if I had left some, if we could still use it after the fathers day quest deadline had been concluded.

Anyone?

Added: Ok, I just was in the game, and saw a pirate with the "2XP" next to his name, so I would say, that the reward earned in the limited time fathers day quest, is not lost after the fathers day quest was removed.
