What's Your Pirate Slang?
 

I know that there was a post that touched on this a while back when "The Ban" first started, but for the life of me I can't find it. Anyhow, I know that as we play we all accumulate different names for the various weapons, enemies, locations and all that in the the game. Some of the ones floating around in my guild simply crack me up and have become a joke of sorts. So, I just thought that I would share and I'm hoping to hear what sort of slang you guys use as well. Here are just a few from our list.

French Blood Scourge - 'Blood Sausage'. Ooh look, Blood Sausage, right side!
Spanish Shadow Crowe - 'Stupid Cow'. Blast that Stupid Cow out of the water!
Spanish Cerberus - 'The Cerebellum'. Down goes the Cerebellum, again.
Nades - 'Boons' As in, Whose boons, your boons? :laughks2:
Any alts in the guild - Simply referred to as "my noob" or "nooblet" or "2.0"
Tortuga - Simply 'Tuga'
Doc Grog - 'The Drunk'. I know, there are so many. Gibbs was a close second to this one.
This one's a tie: Gunner - 'GUNNER!!!' or Greer - 'GREER!!' *$@$&!! Simple enough, but this is usually followed by a large groan, and plenty of nasty words on TeamSpeak, since we all know what a pain their quests are.
EITC Barracuda - As in, 'Oooh Barracuda!! dundundundundundun!' Plently of singing when that ship comes in to play.
Undead Gypsy - 'Gypo'. I think of the movie Snatch whenever this one is said.

Some others that I know I have personally picked up from the board here -
Padres Beach - 'Club Dead' - we love this one, so a big thanks to whoever thought this one up.
The Staff - 'Boomstick' - I believe I heard this here as well, someone in the guild said it the other night and cracked us up.
Getting Banned - 'The Ban'. This is an instant classic, I think either Eustace or Angel takes credit for this one, but I could be wrong.

I know that we have many more that I just can't remember right now. But I thought this would be a fun thread to spread around.

Grenade - Nades
Voodoo Staff - Stump Leg
Attacking tormenta - Tormenting (as in lets go tormenting)
Barracuda - Cuda
Tortuga - Tort
Port Roayl - PR
Gypsy - Gyp
Grenadiers - naders
Sailing - ATM'ing

I Love "the ban" , but for those that have already come down with the disease, we refer to that as "on vacation"

For those that seem to always get ousted from the game at the most inopportune times: Booty Queen (you know who you are!)

Our guild uses "Happy Birthday" for congrats on levelling.

LOL I cant take credit for The Ban, that was Monks word. I just carry it in honor for him. In game I like to call it Das Boot! I also call Cuda, Nades, and of course Booty!!! She does live up to that nickname and if we get too close to her...we do too!

My favorite is what we call Padres Del Fuego in my guild (Orion Syndicate):
"Adobe Island"

Padres Del Fuego="PDF", like an Adobe acrobat file :-)

Me and my cuz Danelle (Dan, as I call her)
Made up some nicknames below:
Voodoo Doll: The Doll
Bingham (next to greer): The guy who got hit with a ham (Dan made that one)
Isla Perdida: Isla Perdada (Dan again)
Padres Del Fuego: Fuego
Barracuda: Cuda
Navy Bulwark: A Navy B
Weird, I know.
(She does make a good point, tho. If the EITC ships are grey, and the navy ships are red, why is the navy ship called a greyhound and the EITC ship called a bloodhound?)

Well, we dont use anything really unique.

However, we do refer to "questing" as "grocery shoppin".

Mostly the same as other peoples, and we are always looking to steal new ones. We are pirates after all :)

I have taken to calling the new islands Porky's (there's even a spot to fall in the water if you're not careful) and Greedo's.

Cutthroat Jungle is Target- you can find a little bit of everything there (especially now that the Spaniards have invaded).

The Cerberus ships are "Puppies"

I love adobe island, btw.

Fencing ("I'm going Fencing!" - Using the fence at Kingshead to level weapons without risking injury.

Newbie Canoe - Player controlled Light Sloop
Speedbumps - Navy or EITC Light Sloops

Any light sloop is considered "Small Fry". This does have a meaning outside of the regular meaning, as these ships are small, and easily fried.
