Ok going to try to get a poll going again, see if I get it working.

As for the poll, nothing annoys me more than chat not working most the time, and having to write like three word sentances half the time.

I voted for lag...but I'm sure it's my computer's fault...or is this an issue with a lot of people? I've got quite used to it now though. I wonder how much I'd love the game if it ran smooth all the time.

The lag. It drives me nuts. I just bought a new computer last week, and like a true nerd, I made sure it was good for gaming (4 gigs of ram, high end video card). Guess what? The game still lags a lot of the times. I think it lags as much as it did on my older computer.

Well got it to work, even though I did a typo. For the graphics I have got a few people working better with a couple things. First go to the community site from the start up window, and under help look up your video driver for a update.

I will list this since alot of people have no idea the path and way to do this, it worked on our guild site anyways.

Go to start on your computer. Setting-control panel-display-setting-advanced-troubleshoot.

This is where the Hardware acceleration is located, turn in down a notch or two. Under enable write combining turn it off.

Depending on each individual's computer may adjust acceleration less or more, but should help out with getting cut screens and some of the lag.

Everyone always talks about lag. I don't understand, I run my graphics maxed out on Abassa server and never have any lag. Why is that? I just dont get why everyone lags. Are u guys shutting everything down prior to starting the game? Are you running a broadband connection? Ever try turning ur graphics all the way down?

I have never had any lag at all, not even on boss battle which I hear is the worst for it.

If my system info and settings helps to settle anyones lag issues, Ill gladly post them.

I voted for the graphics(/lag). Nearly all the buildings have conflicting textures and way to many faces. Plus, many of the enemies (mostly soldiers) tend to run right by gliding along the ground. And just a little bit ago i was being chased by some soldier that managed to become completely invisible.:psmiley27:

Wow, rub it in why dont you. What kind of PC are you running off of? 12 GB of ram with a 5ghz Alianware gaming PC? Do you work for Nasa?

What's kinda messed up is that my laptop (a Lenovo T61p) performs (and, strangely enough LOOKS) gob-smackingly better.

Core2 Duo T9300 2.5Ghz
4GB RAM (Limited to 3GB)
Quadro FX 570M (Essentially the same core as the 8600GT)
WUXGA screen doing 1920x1200
Windows XP 32-bit

So, we have two machine with nearly identical core clockings (and POTCO doesn't use multiple cores) but more cache on the laptop, and identical graphics cores (though clocking may be different)

I know Im posting this in the wrong area - but wouldn't you love to see an update where you can turn off the ability to TP to you at times?

Its distracting when you are in a battle, and someone TPs without askin! (No offence to anyone)
But... sometimes it would be nice to play without it! I never mind if people ask me, but sometimes newer people I've helped TP to me at bad times - for them. LOL

I was on the 'Undead Brigand' mission, and had a new lvl 5 TP to me during. Um.. got killed.
Hasn't TPd to me since, but I could've prevented it with a 'not available' option!

My interest in this was to just see what everyone else felt. Lag has no doubt gone up and down through out last several updates. Chat annoys me when I go through the sentences and find the word wheel, spike, stud, road, and ridiculous in game words like this are blocking entire sentences. As well as more than like 6 words type thing it gets blocked.

Tech support wastes my time with well you need to send these files with your report. OK there they are, and as I am looking at the same files seeing the cuts in sentences, I get back from live chat well we don't see anything, pff. I am a bit annoyed they go by the 1,2 ,3 system, and those are the only answers they give. We don't see anything. Its spy ware on your computer (somehow your fault). We will send this to be looked at by our staff ( other words good bye we will not be getting in touch with you)

I was interested in the poll to see if others felt the major attention should be in what areas. In a sense I Classify two categories as sub-categories. Lag and chat I have considered the biggest issues myself.
Ship invulnerability, undead, weapon locks more minor issues. In these areas, everyone can do it so its not so much a big advantage to one or a few. As for weapon locks using esc gets ya out of it.

I just wanted to know why the attention was being put to something like the undead bug, or if doll did multiple attacks, when to me there seemed to be such a bigger issue that needed attention.

What I have seen so far in the poll is about what I expected, a bit surprised more hasn't gone to fixing the tech support issue though.

I would work towards walk arounds in these areas, that is what we basically have done. Get a vent site or something you can communicate, list it on your guild site not in game or get the 3 day er. With lacking tech support, this is your best option to getting help and being walked through areas you do not know how to do. Such as updating graphic drivers, where to get net2 or something else you may need, to get the driver.

Lag for sure. I was going to help in a boss battle today, took so long to load that by the time the screen was no longer black, I was already dead!

Everything, of course, but the main thing is the LAGGGGG. I never used to have much trouble, but since the update it's been terrible.

LOL Yes I would love to see that update. That's one of the reasons why I made it a guild rule to ask before you tp, it's too dang distracting when people tp without asking. And it adds lag and it is an invasion of people's privacy at times....

Can I vote again? LAG!!! Quiet server and I cant move its so bad.

Far as I am concerned i don't mind the teleport subject. We have had that rule as well, to be polite and ask someone to teleport to them. We have even had to take it to a strike three and you are out, and several people just lately have been booted.

The worse situation is grenades, and someone ports to ya and you hit them with the grenade damaging yourself, or dying. The lag is getting worse, porting as well as a friend coming online, is causing spikes.

I guess I should get another poll going, this is one of the items i had on one already set up, just haven't done it yet.

will 512mb video card help?
 

currently i am using a 128mb video card and experience some lag and yes it has gotten worse after the last big update. for me, i especially see it when the "souls" of the enemy float skyward....looooooonnnng green flash.

But it sounds like even if i go out and get a video card with 512mb on it i'll still experience lag.

So i guess my question is...do i really need to spend the money?:pirate2wn0:

Nope, I have a faster vid card and still experience lag. Yet Joe Blow there had a stock comp and it runs without a hiccup?!? I dont get it.

I wonder how much of the lag is related to each person's own internet connection and the company running it. Would lag be caused by several other people trying to download a lot of information at the same time? Maybe it's overloading the local servers?

I still blame Disney for a lot of the lag issues, especially when there is an update. My connection drops practically anytime some of my upper level friends use their staves at the same time, especially with wither. Kind of annoying. Maybe they could drop the graphics or whatever so that it doesn't take up so much memory?

I'd like them to fix the fireball-sinks-flagships bug.

Well you have to blame disney for the lag issues theres really not much you can do though.
