Oh, come on, people. Geoffry Rush is the single most talented person out of that cast.

Geoffrey Rush steals the show in all three. Then Bill Nighy who plays Davy Jones. Johnny Depp was extremely good in the "Pearl", but that was it.

Bill Nighy and Johnny Depp. Never seen either of them put in a performance anything less then brilliant. Even when the rest of the film they're in seems to be unwatchable they make it worth watching.

I loved all the actors of POTC. I enjoyed watching them all I do like Orlando Bloom but I don't Will Turner.

Geoffrey Rush was definitely the best, no question there. I do think Johnny Depp was perfect for Jack though - he plays crazy people really well.

Johnny Depp is definitely my favorite in POTC.. but only as Jack Sparrow.. his other movies I'm not as thrilled about... Some are good though... but like i said.. he ROCKS as Jack!!

Geo and Johnny were pretty stellar actors, and Davy Jones was good too (I read an article with him talking about the suit he had to wear, and how it left practically all to the imagination and special effects).

I've never seen the movies but I was checking out the cast list and Jack Davenport looks like a pretty good actor.

Every single actor except Bloom were good. The problem with the third movie is that it had TOO many good actors and characters, and along with too many twists in the plot, one could not connect with the characters. My favourite are Tom Hollander, Bill Nighy, Chow yun fat,Geoffrey Rush and Johnny Depp. Elizabeth was also good at it and even in Stellan Skasgard.
EDIT : oh i forgot, Naomie Harris as Tia Dalma was good too.

Hard for me to choose... I think the acting is amazing in all the films, although I wasnt really impressed with Depp on the second one. I do like how Depp kind of invents the character and totally brings life to it. It shows that he developed the character from reading a lot of the books written about pirates and did an excellent job blending the different character traits. You can tell that its truly his personal work and not from the director or writer. He is different in every movie he does and weird enough in rl to draw a lot of interest. Kira nightly (not sure of the spelling on that) was cute but I didn't really care for her that much. Too much her and not enough Elizabeth in her work I guess I could say. The character of Gibbs though is actually one of my top pics. He gets way too little screen time.

Tom Hollander isn't too far behind, though.

Though Barbossa might have been my favorite character, I'd say Beckett was played by a very good actor.

That's the difference with favorite character and best actor.

Johnny, Jack the monkey and Rush, it just wouldn't be pirates without them. I personally hate Orlando. I like Gibbs (cant remember his name) and Nighy also.
