The spanish and french undead quest!
 

well i didnt know we had a new quest along with the new undead updates, you start by talking to orinda lejeune in tortuga dock...im still on it, but when u get to the part with the ships, it gets tough!

I picked it up last night and havent one anything further. I cant wait to get it goin.....grrrrrrrrr, game wont open for me.

I got through all the soldiers, but like David said, the ships are not easy. I got through the first ship but am stuck on the second French ship (i'm not sure if you have to sink the Spanish ones too). I will probably need to pick up some higher levels to help me with the other ships since I am 24 notoriety. I can disable the second ship (French Skeleton Cerberus), but can't beat all the skeletons on board by myself. If anyone else is running into the same troubles and would like to get together to defeat these quests, let me know and I'll gladly like to join up with some other pirates.

Yes, once you sink each individual French skelly, they send you out for all 3 Spanish skellys.

Can you become a spanish or french pirate yet? It says in the pirate lore thing that you can fly either gold or blue on your ship depending on if chose to become a spanish or french pirate

Well, since I do like yellow, I might decide to fly Gold on my ship. LOL who wouldve thunk that I choose a side by color not skills.

I went to Isla Cangrejos to get rid of the French undead. It wasn't too bad until I had eliminate 5 undead French Capitaines. Once I faced the first one, I had to use a tonic and before it could even replenish I was forced to adopt the noblest of pirate traditions to run away like a coward :P

Finished this quest with a couple other Fortune Reapers last night... take a crew with you! The Spanish Scrounge had lots of higher level skellys coming out of the woodwork! After you finished one group... another would come out.

An idea we had after we fought it was to have a support ship on the other side to provide cannon fire as your on the deck of the skelly fighting.

I used the staff (wither) once I was on the ship. It does a lot of damage to any pirates that are close by. You can get a lot at one time. I also used a tonic or two. And I used the voodoo doll's life drain to get back some heath. It went pretty fast.

Yep, basic members were there doing it too. I saw them shooting the undead, dont know if they were questing or just experiencing though.

French and Spanish
 

I have done the French solo for all ship types. After I dock with ship I switcj to grapshot and shoot all on deck thus lowering my skeleton count and then board and defeat the rest

I was Level 29 and just used my sword

Finished this quest last night. It wasn't a particularly hard quest, but there was no reward or anything once it was completed.

It's just nice to have different enemies to play with. When all you fight is Stumps and the Tormenta gang, it was great to fight something different.

I didn't think the skelly ships were to bad, but I'm lvl 38. used the staff (wither) until everything was dead. Staff makes quick work of it, no respawns. The Blood Scourge was a little difficult. On one of them I had 8 enemies using doll on me. Good thing I had a healer with me. Took everything they could do to keep me alive and I had use a tonic too.

Love the new undeads. A couple of them took some time to kill. The respawn fast too. Hope they put them all over the new islands. Soldiers and undead, like in Padres cave. Makes for great fun shooting fire at them with a staff.

Well, the "reward" was about 3k in rep. Quite a few 100's while killing/sinking everything, and 1200 at the end. Would have been nice to get some shiney new toy though :)

yeah, thats what i thought " at least it was good rep" got to 36 notoriety! :]

I've gotten lucky most of the way through the quest, but now I'm at a part where I need help. The French Shadow Crow.

They all seem to be flagships. My sailing level (13) isn't high enough and my ship (sloop) isn't strong enough.

What I'm hoping for is some kind folks here who have high sailing levels and a strong ship would be willing to crew me up so I can finish this part of the quest. My POTC name is Jami The Songbird. If you'd just whisper my username here - JamiSings - before you send a crew invite when you see me online I'll join up. I normally reject all invites that don't come from my guild members cause I don't know the people.

Ye havent started the quest yet im too busy with weapon leveling but i think with a good crew you can take down those suckers

I am in the French Spanish Ceberus (sp) and i can sure board it with my crew. but the lituneauts (sp) and the maitres are too much it takes down my crew and i. =(

if u have anyone with a staff use them and their wither while the rest hack at them with cutlasses and pistols
