Jack's daddy?
 

Where is Jack's daddy? I take it the event has not started yet because father's day has not arrived

Just read that in the news myself. I would imagine it's just going to be a side quest, like go see Jack, he gives you a laundry list of of things to kill off, but it would be cool if it was a new storyline.

It's a father's day event. So i imagine it won't be until around father's day.

Yeah, it is about time they had more movie-related things in this game. We'll know what to do around Daddy's Day, hopefully no chores, real action... ;)

Let's see - will we have to kill numerous gators, dread scorps, giant crabs, terror wasps, and undead to find out that then we have to sink numerous different ships to find the next clue, which when found, tells us Tia needs our help.

Tia may tell us that we need to collect various parts from an assortment of critters and undead pirates of various nationalities so she can make us a potion that needs to be delivered to Doc Grog. While visiting Grog with the potion, he requests some rum from Carver or he won't give us the next clue.

Doc Grog may then send us to Kingshead to search crates for 12 pieces of a map that has been torn apart. Having found the pieces, we once again visit Tia who needs more critters to make yet another potion that will magically repair the map and show us where to search for Teague .... and so on and so on. :psmiley35:


Nah, they wouldn't send us on a wild goose chase like that ... would they????

LOL - well I figured someone else could come up with some other parts for the quest. I like the delivery of a gift task ... not sure Jack's Daddy will be thrilled by the new necktie, perhaps a case of grog instead. ;)

Did the screenshot come from the Test server? I was kinda hoping for a scavenger hunt kind of quest.

Jack normally only appears in the tortuga bar when a quest requiring him triggers his presence.

Are we all going to logon to a "* Visit Jack Sparrow" quest on fathers day?

And will the reward be a scroll telling us we should have spent the day with dad? ;)

No doubt. I hope it isn't for just one day. Disney being a family oriented company and all should understand that most of the "13yr old target players" should be with dad not on the computer.

Agreed. I hope they do it...maybe next week or something?

Doesn't that screen shot remind you of the rum cellar on Rumrunners. Maybe, Jack and his dad are planning a family reunion. :buds: Or maybe Teague left clues on Rumrunner telling us where he is hiding and we all have to follow the Sea Turtle migration route to find him. :erti078:

I just hope they offer this quest all during the week... cause I work weekends ... away from home. :sadmh9:

i imagine that this will be an all weekend quest.

He'll probably need the back hair of 30 Assassins to make a new guitar string for his father to replace the one he broke in the last Movie.

Is it wrong that I've been looking forward to this quest since they announced it? So much so that I might actually write it on the calendar? :bookishfj7:

I'm desperate for any new story quest. And I would not be surprised if we got a quest exactly as described. (groan). After all, the crew from VMK is now putting their mark on Pirates. It would be so like them to have a Father's Day only quest, just like they had the Mother's Day tatoos only available on Mother's Day.
Pirates don't like to be tied to the calendar. And how many pirates wore watches for that matter?
Ah well, we take what we can get. It will be good to see Jack again.

I think when you finish you should get a new treasure list with shrunken heads. Collect them from varies locations and creatures.

Or even better the reward could be a companion creature to help with attacks or draw some of the fire. Like the undead monkey, the parrot, or a dog carrying keys.

Its not likely to be that difficult a quest, wouldnt they make it so it would be suitable for nearly all pirates? They wouldnt want to leave out the level 5-20 pirates, with a quest that requires a lvl30+ pirate to complete.

Looking forward to ANYTHING new. :)

They should allow us to replay the black pearl quest.

Least it would add a little better re-play value for those who've devoted so much time to this other than the "New Pirate" route.

So it opened today.

Ya find jack in the Rowdy Rooster. He has ya run some errands for him and his friends.

After finding Captain Teague aboard a Navy Galleon or Frigate you receive a 3 hour Double XP Bonus.

The welcome screen says its a weekend event like the previous events.
I woulda prefered something that lasted like a new tattoo but cant really complain about double XP. Just wish it woulda been a tad bit longer than 3hrs.

Double XP was pretty good.

I got my staff finally and got it up to lv15 in under 2hrs.

However licensing Keith Richard's (Guitarist for the infamous Rolling Stones) image (He was Teague in the last movie) for the game may have been more costly than it was worth.

so doesnt disney have a copyright on teauge lol :laughks2: grrr i wanna see teauge and his guitar! and his wife (the shrunken head)

yea i was very disappointed i didnt get to see keef "the human riff" richards, i was really lookin forward to it, and disney let me down, o well i guess the double rep is pretty cool

WAS anti-climatic. Could have at least sent us back to Jack with the news or something. Was just...over.

I got one for ya.....Track down jack's mommy I send you on a quest to sink navy ships to find her head, While Teague was captured by Navy personnel he left his Wife's head on one of the ships your job is to go find her, and after you return to jack and give him back his mommy you are granted 65,000 gold and rep bonus for 4 hours plus an additional 20,000 Noteriety for turning her in. ENJOY!!!:laughks2::laughks2:

I dunno about the image licensing. Teague was in the PC game (At World's End) and it didn't feature his exact likeness, or even his voice.

this should be a really fun quest to do
