The Rules:

-Speak straight lad! We be pirates so I will have none of that Bilge slang some of ye be shout'n! If'n ye need examples:

• NO LOLs and leetspeak
• NO Racist, Sexist, Bigotry
• NO abbreviations
• NO overuse of REAL LIFE talk (limit out of character chatter to a bare minimum)

-Respect yer Cap'n, Officers, an fellow crewmates! Maturity is key if'n ye want to be sail'n on Green Revenge!

-There be no age limit. As long as ye be a mature lad or lass then age will not be an issue. If'n ye be under the years of 18 then keep it to yerself!

-What the Cap'n says is the final word! If'n ye don't like yer orders then make it known. Ye better have a good reason fer such mutiny.

-Green Revenge hoists her anchors and opens her sails at certain hours of the day.

• 9PM Eastern is our typical game time during the weekdays. Weekends are less predictable (for now). This is when we are most active with our current guildmates so this may change over time.

-We be knowing pirates but we havn all yer answers so don't be expect'n em.

• We just started this game and our plan is to attempt to make a Guild to learn and explore with. That being said we have yet to find ourselves terribly stuck in this game.

-Gadflies be tak'n pirates of any skill!

• We will accept pirates from any Notoriety, Access level, and skill specializations. On the ship I am looking for people to shoot my cannons.

-Only the captain sails Green Revenge, that be me!

• If you want to build your sailing skill then we will do so on your ship. Green Revenge is only sailed by the captain, Lucrecia Merlose. If anyone takes the wheel without expressed permission will find themselves walking the plank!

-If'n ye are recruited don't think ye be a Gadfly quite yet. We be need'n time to get to know ye and not just everyone is Gadfly material.

• There is a probation period. This can take as little as a week and the length of this period varies significantly. Final recruitment is of the Leader and Officers discretion.

If Gadflies interest you then there are a few ways of getting recruited:

• Make a post in this thread
• Send me a personal message
• Register to the Gadflies Forums and make a thread in "Join the Crew"

Whatever your method may be, in most cases, you will receive a personal message from me in either POF or Gadflies Forums with the recruitment code. Once I've recognized you as joining Gadflies I will add you as a Recruit to our roster and you will undergo a probation period where you will be watched with scrutiny, your every movement tracked under a microscope of skepticism, and every word you say will be moderated for accuracy in punctuation, spelling, and role play immersion. *cackles wildly* :laughks2:

I jest! The probation period is for YOUR benefit. During this time just relax and play as you would like to play within Gadflies. If you are a good fit for us then it will all come naturally. If you are not a good fit for Gadflies then there is no harm. You simply will have to find a better fit elsewhere and that's better for you and Gadflies.

As well, as we progress through this plunder game, a shift to the dark side may be in order. Once we witness ye growin' competitive, a charming trip to my charming guild may be in order.

um i really dont like the lol rule and long regular talk anyone has the right to say watever they want as long as it is not rude if u use the no lol rule and no long talking rule i doubt u will get much members

We try and be amiable to trainin' and plunderin' as much as can be done. But, we're a small lot for the time bein' so best to make your wishes known and we can make our best try at bein' around for a spot of piracy.

Truly we are but a humble jollyboat. Tis Meself, Ferrex, and now one other, League ((He posted above)). Dur'n weekdays we be more limited to our hours fer sail'n but us power 'o three have thus far found common active hours. Ferrex and meself I can speak on the behalf of can most definitely gather the Gadflies together fer some Blaggard plunder'n! If'n ye wish to join us three ((I do try my best to keep us fighting together and we have done well so far)) fer that sorts of action then ye must be will'n to make yerself available fer the hours written:

By my count, our numbers are a growin'. Looks to be a total of seven swabby pirates now. Of course not a one believes that there's such a thing as a ship with wheels what can sail onto dry land as easily as across the open seas. But anyway, we're lookin' for pirates of whatever sort to come sail the seas and plunder the seven or eight treasure chests all the same.

This thread is as good a place as any: I do believe that there is a code that can be redeemed eternally as long as one is alive. Hence, you may just be pm'ed a code.

I don't believe I've heard anyone say lol, lowl, or anythin' that sounds like that. I can't even be sayin' what "lol" could be, unless it's related to a mole or somethin' of the sort.

So you're sayin' that if I were to go up to someone, say at a bar or some fine drinkin' establishment, and whisper to them "lol" they might, if so inclined, know what I'm sayin' and do somethin' nice like hand me a mug of grog or so?

It's only internet- or text-speak, and it's really not in the least needed at all. We don't chat like swabbies in the guild really, as it is quite perplexing.

Anyway, I think we need a new hour to get online, where the whole guild meets. I'm having a hard time running into y'all. As well, I can log in to the forums even under irate. Is the user name my pirate's name or the forum name?

You'd have to get Luc or Fer to guild you, as Luc was the guildmaster and Fer was the officer. They haven't been around in a while.
