I got a quest from Johnny McVane, the bartender in tortuga. A mercenary quest for 165 gold.

But i can't find this Sea Serpent, please, anyone can help?

received was in error as there are no Sea Serpents in the Caribbean at
this time. Once our engineers have resolved this issue, a patch will be

Josie the bartender at the Royal Anchor in Port Royal gives out the Serpent quest. Although, she might give out another quest, it's either random or your pirate lvl depends if you get it or not.

I'm guessing the serpent is going to arrive in a future update. I just hope it comes soon because I'm getting bored. Not that I've been given the quest to start offing sea serpents. Josie keeps giving me Seabeards. Meh.

sorry people but this speculation and rumor is just getting irritating now.

I have been to Josie but don't get offered this quest so will somebody please accept the quest , check what it asks you to do and where it wants you to go and post the real facts ( including what level you were ) !

This isn't a rumor.
If you're nearly to Pirate Master i think, you start getting this quest from Josie and Johnny telling you to kill "sea serpents". They're not in the game yet, I'm sure, but the quest exists.

I was given the quest at level 31 and it doesn't give you details (its exactly like every other quest they give you). All it says is to kill X amount of sea serpents.

I got a quest from Jose that said to Kill 13 Undead Raiders when I was at level 24. im 27 now.

I think the sea serpent quest comes about lvl 30+. All my pirates get now are the tormenta crew. So that means the Sea serpents will be a lower lvl than 30-35s when they do implement them in teh game.

Josie just gave me 9 sea serpents. =(

I think those sea serpents are at Tormenta, but they were renamed but the quests only stated their previous name.

I dont think they would rename it to sea serpents, Ive gotten quests to defeat Tormenta monsters before, and they just say to kill "4 Dregs" or something like that. they were more specific

NO I believe those were the quest for the now known Urchinfists. I think they were called Dregs or something like that....wait Dregs still exist, I dont remember what the quest called for then.

Yes, Urchinfists are the NEW name for sea serpents. Or the other way around, but i'm not sure. And Urchinfists are located in Isla Perdida i'm pretty sure, and one of the caves.

I'm not having any luck killing Urchinfists for the Sea Serpent quest. Hmm.

Urchinfists are not the new name for the sea serpents. Sea serpents might be implemented in the game in the summer. I forget what the name was given for the Urchinfists in Beta. It wasnt Sea Serpents though.

Good. Because Urchinfists and Kate do not get along and it does not usually end well for her. So I'd rather not deal with them if I don't have to.

No they are not, they are in Tormenta.

:bookishfj7: You dont have to accept the quests that Josie and Johnny present to you. If you keep going back (it takes a couple of back clicks) and try again they will offer you some different enemies to defeat. You dont have to accept the first quest that pops up. Like why would i pick 11 Urchinfists to kill for 195 gold when i can keep declining then clicking until something easier is offered like 5 stumps?:degen: Unless you're up for the challenge of killing seabeards for the same reward more power to ya! :skull: And if you can get the same enemy quest from Johnny McVane you can kill 2 stumps or brinescums, mollusks, assassins etc...with 1 grenade so to speak and be double the gold ahead of the game. You CAN accept quests from Josie everytime after completing but for Johnny you have to logout then in again to be able to access his quest requests again. I haven't yet seen the quest for "sea serpents" at my lvl 37 yet i do know it exists. I sure won't accept that task knowing the newest enemies aren't implimented into the game yet so if anyone did accept that quest my advice would be to drop it at this point until future updates of this Elusive enemy know one has seen yet. EDIT: As of TODAY Josie is not giving out quests once ya done em till logout and login, she says :Im Busy. Can't believe Sam Seabones isnt giving the Hunt Skeletons quest for 25 gold anymore either. He now says after cashing in "Port Royal is for the People!"

I got the quest in Tortuga when I was Lv 25. Haven't found any yet though...

I do believe once Disney implements them into the game, they will post it out on their newsletters.

Sam Seabones will still give you the Hunt Skeletons quest, but like the others you have to log out first.

I have that sea serpents as well and if u look on ur map it shows a star where u should go but i havent found anything yet.. and im a lev 31

Where on your map does it take you to? An island? Considering Sea serpents would be in teh ocean......

i got my sea serpent quest when i was in level 31, im 32 now...
I really too curious to find it! i wont drop this quest!

i dont see a ray of light for it and not even a yellow star in the map!
also, in the quests phares (skull button) related about this quest only appears:
"i need to kill an enemy"
"where do i find enemy?"

i got quests from both of them after i hit lvl 30 a while back, but i only got the ones to kill dregs and sea beards or w/e no serpents, and also where are these assasins , cant find those ether.

Assassins can be found in Beckett's Quarry on Padres.

I got the sea serpent quest yesterday, and my map shows a star on Isla Cangrejos.

I have 0 quests and a star on cangrejos, as well as one on padres...

I got it from Josie when I was level 28. It does not tell you where to go. A star showed up on Canjergos so I sailed there and walked all over the island and then swam around it twice to see if I could find anything. I found nothing. After reading these posts, it appears that it is an engineering problem and the sea serpents have been created yet.

I found the "sea serpents"! I had accepted the task a while ago and just now stumbled upon the answer...I was going through the Wicked Thicket on Port Royal on the way to the Royal Caverns when I decided to pull out my gun and shoot anything in my path on the way. After killing an undead something the message popped up "1/10 sea serpents"!?! I didn't even remember what I had killed. At that time a Guard had started attacking me, so I pulled out my sword to kill him and once I did, it said 2/10 sea serpents! Needless to say, any one I killed after that came up as killing a sea serpent. So, if you accept the task, just head on over to the Wicked Thicket and start your killing!!!

After the updates this morning, when I logged on, my sea serpent quest had mysteriously turned into a "defeat 9 guards" quest. Mabye that explains it....

I got a "Defeat 9 urchinfists" quest from her.

Strangely enough, if I killed Mollusks, it gave me credit too.

I had the mullosk quest and when I had cleared the deck with my cannon of a skelly flag, I got all mu mullosks completed.

Well speaking of quest what the hecks a floatsam? Just got a mission from Johnny to take out some of them. Never heard of these things before.

You'll find them on Isla Tormenta.

I got credit for sea serpents by killing the French undead on Isla Cangrejos.

Don't worry, I got this quest, and I defeated skeletons and they counted for sea serpants.
