New Tattoo Quests
 

Okay so I searched for this everywhere, and didn't find anything so sorry if this has been questioned once before!

Anyways, so I've started the new tattoo quests, and the first one I've done fine with up until about 87% when it asked "Find a document in a storage container" it tells me Fort Dundee, which I thought was the fort in Padres, but every single one told me "No quest items found," after searching. Every other fort said, "Nothing interesting." Gah, its confusing.
The second tattoo quest told me to kill certain enemies on islands, like for ex. skeletons on cutthroat, dread scorpions on outcast, giant crabs on tormenta..etc. When I got to the giant crabs I killed about 10 of them and none of them registered, it didn't even say "Crab claw not found" like it normally does for quest stuff.

What am I doing wrong? Help!

I'm not sure about the documents in Dundee, but as for the other parts of the Tat/Jewel quests...you sometimes need to hit a lot of enemeys/sink a lot of ships to get a "hit". Nothing on these new quests is coming up on your first kill. (or second, or third, or fourth...)

Just keep going at it. They will register soon.

If you're finding nothing after around ten kills/searches/ship sinks, I'd switch servers. Sometimes that helps.

For the Ft Dundee portion (you have to do it twice) it can be in ANY of the containers. It is completely random and differs for everyone. Set up a systematic search, following the walls downstairs, then upstairs. Mine was right next to the office (Crate) and a guildie was in a barrel by the stairs. Second time, it may be in a different location (mine was in the same spot, but the guildie was in a different place). Sorry to tell you, but you just need to keep searching. I actually hit every single container before I found mine. Quite irritating. You might also check the bookcase, as it is searchable, if it does not show elsewhere. Good luck.

I noticed on the second quest that changing the weapon you are using works. If you need crabs use your sword to kill one crab, if it doesn't give it to you go on to the pistol, kill one crab... and so on down the list. Once it does register stick with that weapon and you should get the rest consecutively. For me it worked most on my dagger (12) and staff (13) which are my weakest weapons.

I found a document at Fort Dundee in a desk, besides the boxes and crates.

I searched the containers and it did take time. Switching servers works too.

There is one of these documents in question that is only found in the desk. It says storage container, but in this case, as Brandy mentioned, its the desk.

Aye, if you click on the quest, and that exact part, it will tell you to search a desk. I was searching barrels and crates for a while before I opened it back up and looked.

I'm doing the Tattoo quest and it say's to search the crates on Port Royal not Fort Dundee, but I have searched twice and not found anything. I've searched everywhere I can think of. Any help would be appreciated.

If it actually lets you search the crates, just keep trying - switch servers if you have to.

If you're not "searching" them, though, make sure you're in the right spot. I might be confusing another quest for this one, but I'm pretty sure you have to search the crates in town.

took me a while to get them, too. Now I have both facial tats, but I prefer the cheek one at the moment.....

The crates in town is a rare one to get. I searched over and over a few days before I finally got it.
