health higher than normal?

has anyone found that their health is higher than normal???

yesterday my health was 1200, today its 1518...my friend who is lvl 39 has around 2300 health.

is this an update or a bug?

Davy 05-02-2008 01:01 AM

Mine isn't higher, it must just be a glitch.

Aliese 05-02-2008 01:17 AM

When I went from 34 to 35 yesterday, my health went up 360 points; I'm pretty sure it's a bug in the update. :)

David 05-02-2008 01:27 AM

i thought the highest health you could get was around 1850, when you were notoriety 40.
this guy is level 33....look at his health.....im levl 29....look at my health.

Davy 05-02-2008 01:29 AM

It's got to be a glitch. You should report it to the staff.

Altair 05-02-2008 02:49 AM

I sent a bug report, and the Live Chat guy sent it to the developers. Lets hope disney fixes it, because sucks for us level 40's who maxed everything.

DrStinglock 05-02-2008 04:58 AM

Well, it's not directly related to your lvl is it.

What the chances that guy worked on maxing all of his skills that increased his hit points and didn't spend any time on the weapons/skills that didn't

I'm sure if you were going straight for a high hp player, you could focus on only working on the weapons that give decent amount of hp boosts and the passives to compliment it.

But if it's a bug, hopefully a few more people report it.

Personally, I'm hoping to hit 1337 health and stay there like someone else I know.

Altair 05-02-2008 05:57 AM

Umm, It's a glitch.

About 5 of my friends had this. One day their health was 1400, the next 1800, I'm sure they didn't level up their grenades 80 times.

And I hear a lot of "I hope this problem doesn't get fixed", well that's really selfish isn't it.

Mattress 05-02-2008 11:38 AM

lol i thought i was going insane, i couldve sworn i had 1600 health the other day and i leveled up and had 1900. Must be the glicth, hmmmm best glicth yet.

dangerousden 05-02-2008 12:19 PM

I levelled up my Cutlass to lvl 23 last night and my health is now 1912. Cool for me, but if one gets it all should get it.

Kat Sheffield 05-02-2008 01:36 PM

I hit 40 back on Wednesday, struggling through a jamming pistol at Tormenta. I was over 400 points away from 40 and I went after a level 32 Seabeard. He went down quickly and all of the sudden I hit 40 and my health jumped to 2349! And no, I have not been going crazy adding skill points to up my hp. So talk about a glitch there. I would say that my health before that was approximately 1850 based on a recent screen shot taken a few weapons levels earlier. But to get that over 400 rep from a Seabeard, not cycling through weapons or doing anything like that - just straight cutlass? Looking at the screen shot that I took when it happened, he gave me 41 rep, and yet I shot to 40. It doesn't make sense, and on top of that, I was so surprised that I almost missed the screen shot! :laughks2: But at least I know that I'm not crazy, I was thinking that my health looked to be a little on the high side.

joshephe1 05-02-2008 01:41 PM

the highest possible with out the heath bug is 2019

Soul Patch The Fiesty 05-02-2008 02:06 PM

It's a leveling bug, it's giving out like 10 times what it should for HP when you level. I'm sure it will be fixed, as this is hugely game altering.

Freole Taggert 05-02-2008 03:20 PM

I really hope they fix this, I have a level 40 and he has 2003 health, As I was playing last night I saw several 37's and 38's with 23xx health. This is a big deal for me. I spent 2 months getting to 40 living in Tormenta only to have lesser level’s out health me!

Either they fix this or re-calibrate or I'm gone. I have had it with no rep past 40 tons of new quests that do nothing for me.

Yes I do have an alt but I don’t want to go through it all again,, :(

Altair 05-02-2008 06:14 PM

I feel ya Freole, I usually just come on these forums to check if I'm the only one that cares about the stupid things that happen to this game - or just simply to rant.

I have 2 lvl 40's fully maxed, and it really annoyed me off. If they don't fix it, im gone as well. And I'm sure every other level 40 whose maxed is gone too.

The weapons proved to be an Epic Fail, nothing more than eye candy +6 attack? What kinda ..... is that. Disney you fail at making games.

Hyde 05-02-2008 06:19 PM

I don't know my life *What I had before) but it seems pretty normal for me!

Lucy 05-02-2008 06:27 PM

I have leveled up several time under this glitch, I'm level 17 and have almost as much health as you pirate masters. Ii deffinitely isn't right, if I were level 40 I would be miff'd too, they should definitely reset it, I don't see how they couldn't.

Freole Taggert 05-02-2008 09:31 PM

I contacted live support about the issue. They acted as though they had never heard of it. Figures.

Altair 05-02-2008 09:48 PM

In addition to getting spikes of +300 health. Each time noobs level up their notoriety, they get +25 hp instead of what used to be +20, and +3 voodoo instead of 2.

Thank you Disney so much. Thanks, I waisted my money on this game, and this is what I get?

Thank you so much AGAIN!!!! You guys are AWSOME?!?!?!?!

David 05-02-2008 11:20 PM

yea i realized that to, maybe since they are now giving 25hp and 3 voodoo for each level up/ weapons level up...us higher levels were given more voodoo and hp for the levelup we had at 20 hp and 2 voodoo...if you do the math with the 25 health and 3 voodoo, our health and voodoo should be about right shouldnt it?

they wouldnt just give the new people higher level up stats and not give the old people the same stats they should have earned.

seaturtledude 05-02-2008 11:26 PM

I was like 800 something and when I leveled up became 1052

Actually, the high level players seem to get spikes of health which would add up the the extra rep. low levels get now. I had 1700 and it bumped up to over 2000.

That would be all fair and dandy if the level 40's who can't level up anymore get health too. You level 30's get WOAH, and we, who worked harder than you and get poah.

And how do you explain people with 2400+ health?

If its +25hp, that would mean the max you should have is 2200. Your theory is just wrong, no.

And DarthChaos, I don't even see the point you tried to make in that response...

My bad. What I meant was that it seems they are giving high level players extra HP* for the HP* they missed on the previous levels now that they adjusted the HP* gain.

Maximvs 05-03-2008 02:21 AM

So - it wasnt my imagination! I knew it was higher than before - but - I did notice that even one of our Guild's L40 pirate had 100 HP more... she was 1910 then was over 2000 after the updates :)

Chris 05-03-2008 02:22 AM

lol me to i thoguht i was going crazy or something

Freole Taggert 05-03-2008 02:35 AM

I was 2003 before the update and im still 2003 after the update. When I spoke with support I told them they were bending us high level players over by doing this.

I dont think they care..I dont think they intended it and I have no idea how they would fix it.

Altair 05-03-2008 02:38 AM

WOW, so im stuck with less health... THIS IS REDICULOUS.

This game just disserves to die. Im not playing this garbage... and all of you people are .... blah

Say good bye to the best PvPer in the whole game. Im quitting this non sense.

Maximvs 05-03-2008 02:52 AM

Oh just a thought - the L40 in my guild still has two weapons not mastered and she's been working them anyway (she's like that - she want them ALL mastered even if the REP doesn't count! LOL) but - wht if you are still getting the HP / Voodoo for them? Maybe thats how shes gotten almost 100 HP even at 40...

I'll have to take my 40 out for a spin tomorrow and do a level up with the gerds and see if I go up any...

Altair 05-03-2008 03:47 AM

People who have everything mastered are still in a jam.

Bilgepump 05-03-2008 04:54 AM

The math checks out. I hit level 36 earlier today, and it said it gave me 25 hp per level instead of 20, and my max went up by roughly 350. The extra 5 per level accounts for 175 of that.

I got a cutlass level too, and it gave me the standard 8. But the doll gave me 4HP instead of 2. 22 * 2 = 44 HP.

Assuming the staff got the same boost, that's 18 * 2 = 36.

If two other skills also got upped, then that would account for the remainder.

Easily.

level 40 * 25 = 2000 hp
+ mastered cutlass (25 * 8 = 200) = 2200 HP
+ mastered grenades (25 * 8 = 200) = 2400 HP.

And that's not even adding in the HP bonus you get from dagger, staff, doll, pistol, sailing, and cannon, or the 125HP from maxing endurance.

Altair 05-03-2008 06:23 AM

Well, grats for the ability to use your calculator. But where does it leave the fully maxed level 40's then... are we going to get our health or not?

Angel 05-03-2008 07:44 AM

Nope, we get to die faster than the lvl 30s!!!

David 05-03-2008 05:27 PM

my friend who is level 40 had 1900 hp 2 days ago....today he now has around 2350...looks like they are trying to do their best to get everyones health that they should be. i guess they cant do everyone at once, but are slowly doing it.

joshephe1 05-03-2008 06:34 PM

he most likely leveled a weapon up

Angel 05-03-2008 07:10 PM

Yeah, I know when your fully mastered your at 2019. Lets see if anyone else thats fully mastered is higher.....

Maximvs 05-03-2008 08:08 PM

Well, pirate #1 is mastered with no extra Points on HP (Cutlass Bonus) and he is currently 1841 - and I just checked and he is still only 1841... (he still needs to master Staff and Gerds though)

So unless the do an adjustment - he'll always be 1841 (or at least until they move the Noriety higher)

Just for info :)

Mattress 05-03-2008 11:27 PM

i think the huge health boost is a glitch but they have up'd the amount of hp you get from weapon lvls i went up a cutlass level today and went up 25, grendade 10 and dagger 8, it was a good day for my health bar lol

Angel 05-04-2008 12:18 AM

I wonder if you lvl up wither ur staff or nades Maxximus will it increase ur health considerably?

Yes, it will. It recalculates as soon as you level anything. My second pirate got a pistol level, and gained about 200 HP.

Pistol now gives 7HP per level instead of 5. I'm assuming the dagger gives the same, but haven't verified this.

Well, you asked, I answered.

As to whether you'll get your health or not, it depends on whether you're fully mastered in all weapons. If not, you'll get the increase as soon as you level anything. If you are, then you're hosed unless you submit a bug report and get Disney to fix it. You've got a legitimate gripe, so go for it.

Anything? I finally played yesterday for the first time since the update (not on my computer since I still can't play on my Mac since the update!) to test this health thing.

I leveled cannons from 16 to 17 and my HP went from 1486 to 1792 (I think). So I figured I'd do this with my other weapons to get all I could from this "glitch" but when I leveled my staff from 16 to 17, my HP only went up 1798 (which I assume is the "normal" amount).

So is it a one-time correction or does the "300+" jump only occur with certain weapons? Has anyone seen more than one "300+" jump in their character?

joshephe1 05-05-2008 12:43 AM

it a one time correction to get your health and voodoo to the right amount.

Chris 05-05-2008 12:51 AM

yea the forties i know still have 1900-2000 hp and im only 35 and have 2060 so yea i guess there are benefits to not mastering your pirate ASAP but i think disney will either A) fix this or B) when the next update comes out they will get to the regular hp also i know that some of our guildies beat the BB before it got closed in december and now that the new leadership skill is given those who beat it before it was closed have not unlocked it has disney fixed this?

Altair 05-05-2008 05:17 AM

Finally, after spending like 2 hours with these Disney people, sending in numerous bug reports, looks like they are fixing it.

4 days ago, a live chat guy "escelated my bug report" to the developers, who are now working on a patch to give us normal health at log in (that means everyone, level 1-40).

It is also shown on the "known issues" page. However, how long it takes Disney is another problem. I don't want to spend 2 months with less health than everyone, but at least I know they are trying. I guess I really don't know anything, but whatever.

Good question, it would set the pattern for how they may handle this situation. However I have one thing that may help as things are. Assuming they will eventually be raising the notoriety cap with content additions etc (anticipated this summer), then it would be likely that such 'corrections' that are currently being observed would simply take place at the time of any additional level having been achieved.
Its definately a bummer situation, if it is corrections we are seeing I do give thanks for that, as otherwise all advanced pirates would be losing valuable ground. It would probably be fairer having the whole pirates database recalculated, and not pend a 'level up'.

I might be addle brained or my eyes are playing tricks on me but I believe mine looks normal again.

Not mine... 2417 still as we speak (looking at other computer screen).

I am level 38 now, and my health seems to be a bit high. I was on a couple hours ago and it was 2187. Coulda swore before it was like 1841? Not sure... I haven't added alot to the health points etc.

joshephe1 05-06-2008 12:26 PM

disney made the health higher. The new max health is 2427 and new max voodoo is 543.

Chris Ironhawk 05-10-2008 05:52 AM

I went from 1200 to 1500 in one night of not playing what so ever. I didn't level anything within those two days. The developers said in the release notes that they did the color flip-flop on the radar by accident. Though when I went to all of the friends on at that time, they told me that thier heath had raised jurastically, too.

Kaionai 05-10-2008 11:45 AM

I think also it all depend's on how you build your charecter, i mean if you pick up the perks of endurance and your weapons are high level such as cutless and grenades, then your health should be around 2000+, but like i said all depends on how your brought your charecter up.

Swash 05-10-2008 02:00 PM

dont tell the staff i need more health

DarthChaosSky 05-11-2008 12:27 AM

The staff have solved this problem for pirate masters. They're working on a patch that will automatically add the extra health to pirate masters when they sign in, check the known issues to see this.

Angel 05-11-2008 01:25 AM

Yep, as I said mines already been added.

phillip366 05-11-2008 04:07 PM

from what i hear they made it so when you upgrade your helth gets bigger than last time because of an update. now an level 33 is better than level 40. ( that means voodo too)
