Weapons quest messed up?
 

It is telling me to go to Canjaroes to kill level 15+ EITC Soldiers. But there are not EITC there, I searched. So I went to PPR and used voodoo to kill a level 27 EITC Mercinary and still nothing, then I went a few yard from that spot and killed a level 18 EITC Grunt with my sword, still nothing. What is going on, I've long awaited for this and now its screwed up? I'll retry this after church, if I go, otherwise I'll be on chat.

I just logged on and it told me to go to whats his name, he gave me my first cutlass in the begining of the game, I wne to him, dug up a medal and gave ti to him and then he gave me this canjaroes assignment.

OK Im doin the will turner quest. I'll see if I get the same thing.....

I got the quest complete after defeating several of them at Fort Charles.

It now telling me to go to tortuga, and I pwned two at Charles, and nothing.

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. Keep killing the level 15+ and nothing, been on several islands now with no success.

Takes many more than two EITC to complete a task. Patience, mate, patience. I've run into this problem many a time on even the regular quests, so I went to another place and got it.

It is kind of glitched. I took down several EITC Soldiers at Fort Charles and it didn't even give me a "Searching for..." message. Then out of nowhere the last one I killed said I found the required item.

So I guess most of us are on the same page. Also, noticed there are lots of typos? Especially in the EITC one, it doesn't say "EITC" in the heading it says "ETIC". It's as if they rushed the updates because they didn't want to wait for May to come and the updates promised in April to still not be out.

Mine told me to go anywhere and get them... I went to Padres Becketts Cave and after about 5-7 Hired-Guns I got the stuff...

Many in the Guild have discovered that you need to do / sink several guyas / boats just to get one item... so for 5 Maruders it took almost 22 for one player... that a lot of ships in on go...

Between the crashing and mixups - I really didn't mind waiting those 'May Days' like I mentioned in teh Release Posts... I really wished they did now... they are pulling a Micro$oft with this one - 'release now - try and fix later'... :)

i don't think it's a glitch. you just have to kill several of them to get it and they probably made it that way on purpose. in real life if you were looking for a soldier that had a piece of paper, is it likely that the very first one you tried would have it?

True, it most likely would not. Of course, in real life, if the soldier had a gun, he'd probably fire it at me, not just use the bayonet.

Loot Hard!

Yeah, alot of the quests arent getting you what you need as fast. Ive had to kill about 50 dreads before I got my 5 hides for the dagger one.

Yeah - Ships are being sunk everywhere and not many are making up my quest counts. Still it is making up for the loss of gold on Weapons that have dropped in price :)

A few of the older quests were like this. Go kill a soldier / skelly / sink a ship and get such and such a thing. It would end up actually meaning sink quite a few ships / kill soldiers / skellies before you find the one you need.

I sometimes only had to kill one while my missus had to do a few, but swings and roundabouts.

It does seem that this is a get it out and fix it later release. Maybe a better spell checker is required at least lol

I'm having problems that I can't switch the tracking on my quests since the update. I have to keep checking to see where I'm at.

I firgured that I'd be rewarded for killing a level 39 Mercinary and three hired guns wiht voodoo.

We've tried the same thing. Even goin after Juggy for the EITC Frigate blue orb. Guess it wasnt in the cards.

I think it took about 15 EITC Frigates for me to get the orb.

I think it's appropriate for the "upper level" quests though. Gotta sink more and attack more undeads/soldiers for the reward(s). Kind of annoying after not "questing" for what seems to be like forever, but still, it's on target for the level you're at, and come on, at this point, it's so not hard to kill off 20+ or so lev 17+ skeles. Did I mention it was annoying though?!? LOL

What's the deal here?
 

Is it just me, or is everybody still having problems with the quest? I'm doing the Cutless quest, getting back the Pirate Lore pages from ships for Will, and even after they closed the game down for 45 minutes for "Maintenance" nothing's changed. I still get nothing from attacking and sinking the ships.

I'm at the same thing you are, just looks like I gotta sit and wait, this one sayd to sink about 10 Mauradas, so it should work.

Wife and I got the EITC soldier updates for the cutlass in Kingshead. No 'not found' messages then, all the sudden, update.

For the ship updates. This was on the final step of the gun quest, 10 antique guns from EITC ships. May not be the same for the other quests but:

I sunk an EITC ship, got an update. I then proceeded to kill navy ships filling my hold. I sunk another EITC ship, no update. Sunk another half dozen, no updates. I docked and unloaded the ship and went specifically after the EITC ships and, got an update for every one I sunk. I then filled the remainder of the hold with navy ship plunder, sunk 3 more EITC ships with no updates. Unloaded at a wild island and went back out and got the last 3 updates with the first three EITC ships I sank.

Oh yeah I DO!!! Im just one lvl from staff with boss incomplete and i want to finish pirate lore quest but cant seem to find any thing!!! Lolz that quest is hard!!1

tryin to make it take longer to get to 40 . need higher lvl, keep u payin

I had to log out, log back in, go back to him, and then he gave me my upgraded staff.
