Ratskeller bc it is on Padres where alot of stronger ships are around, and bc u can bet up to 500 gold which gets me a lot of money

Not sure if your just asking us which of those 4 are our favorite, or really which tavern in POTCO is our favorite. If its the latter, you missed a few.

Rowdy Rooster (Port Royal)
Royal Anchor (Port Royal)
King's Arm (Tortuga)
Faithful Bride (Tortuga)
La Bodeguita (Cuba)
Ratskellar (Padres)
Skull's Thunder (Padres)
<unnamed> (Padres Beach)

I generally prefer the taverns on Padres for thier higher minimum bets at the tables. If any favorite its a mix up between these two (Ratskeller and Skull's Thunder).

I like the <unnamed> tavern at Padres Beach because the bartender will heal you if you need it while leveling up at Padres Beach.

I like La Bodeguita (Cuba) because it is often quiet, when just me and another friend want to play head to head (we ignore the computer players usually set there).

I like the taverns on Fuego, too.
Personally, I like Skulls Thunder the best.
Sorta hidden on Fuego, tho.
However, when im doing a quest, La Bodeguita seems to save me the most gold, as apposed to losing it all at Faithful Bride.

Another vote for the ones on Padres. :)


Not to go too OT, but has anyone else been having trouble with that spot? It will sometimes freeze when I pay to heal; after I pay it'll bring the menu up again, and no matter which option I choose (pay again or leave), the menu will disappear, but the background will remain.

I've had that happen to me a few times with Bingham (Greer's guard) in fort charles.
I usually have to hit F7 to logout, the menu will remain over the choose pirate screen, and I have to quit to get out, and restart the game.

Ive never had that problem, but I dont pay to heal,. Your in a bar and jsut have to stand there and heal. By the time my screen loads up I'd be healed anyways.

Back on topic, I love the padres bars

i hate when that happens..used to be able to press m and open the map..and tp back to your port of call.

not sure if it works no more though..since i gave up even going near those guys because of that bug, but i remember abusing it as a lowly lil player who couldnt take on the vets head to head in charles while leveling cutlass..id go take a swipe at em..and run next to the healer, and when i needed an instant heal, id talk to him..pay my gold..and resume chipping away at the vet standing next to me.

anyways.. i dont like any of the taverns..

I cant play blackjack well, nor poker at ALL.

I like the bride best because on Abassa me and my friends "work" there and serve fresh singapore rum to fellow pirates

I chose Faithful Bride because Jack and Joshamee are there!

haha i definitly like the padres teverns the best i mostly spend my time gambling and im at about 1mill in gold and im only level 6 play me in blackjack anyone?

Apparently noones brought to your attention the game caps your gold at 65000, about 935,000 short of a million ;)
