Who and What We Wenches Be


We are a small and tight knit guild of ten seeking worthy new pirates. We are proud of the fact we have been around for a short time and most of us have completed The Boss. We have also been on the leaderboards numerous times.

The Wenches have expanded ever so slowly and are proud of the fact we are not only guildmates, we have became friends. We have supported each other through a near loss of life and celebrated the arrival of a new one. We seek adventure, hard challenges, and lots of plunder.

We do not have the drama of other guilds because we are a Democratic Dictatorship. There is an eject button and we know how to use it........ We are mature enough to handle quests on our own, but most of the time if you see one Wench in combat (or anywhere for that matter) you will see more.

Rules, Regulations, and other Rambling

1. Must be a female character. We DO have a few male players behind a Wench. But you MUST let the rest of us know if you are a male. Failure to do so will result in immediate ejection. NO EXCEPTIONS

2. Must be over 18. We do understand we are playing in a childs game. However, most of us have kids of our own. we do not want to babysit while we are relaxing.

3. Must have a paid account. We have adventures together in which it is impossible for someone with basic access to join.


Code of Conduct

WENCHES FIRST

You will put any Wench above any and all non guild friends. This means if a Wench is in trouble you will stop what ever you are doing and render aid. (unless you are currently in combat) Other Wenches are expected to do the same for you.

We are not guild mates we are blood!!!

It is strongly suggested you friend as many Wenches as possible. Yes, even if you have to delete a few.

Who's Who Among the Wenching Crew

All decisions regarding the Wenches are voted upon by the guildmaster and the officers. The majority wins. And yes the guildmaster has been out voted. (I'm glad I was.

Bellatrix Blackbones: Guildmaster

The other Wenches call her "Bossy Bella." If someone is breaking the Code she is quick to let them have it. She is never around much anymore. The only time you will see her is for admin duties. For example, promoting a member or ejecting one. So, if you happen to see her something big is about to happen. Either that or she is shopping.

Charlie Baltimore: Bella's second pirate.

(Read Guildmaster) She is NOT an officer. Therefore any admin duties are taken care of by Bella. All the Wenches still call her Bella. Tends to cunfuse the stuffing out of some people.

Catherine Stormhayes: Officer

She was the first member of the Wenches. Although real life prohibits her from playing much, she still has a place firmly in everyones heart. When she does get to play she is ready to lend a hand in any situation.

Misty: Officer

Misty, Bella, and Cat's pirates grew together. She is the mother hen to us all. If a Wench needs an ear, being the pirate she is, she will slice it off and let you use it. She has the ability to keep a level head when everyone else loses theirs.

Lib Feathers: Officer

Lib is our newest officer. We can always depend on her to post the best and funniest screen shots. It seems she is always there when we are all makin' fools of ourselves. No wonder she has became our official photographer. Not to mention she is always there to lend a helping sword!!

Kat Calicogrim: Officer

Kat is the shopaholic of the bunch. If she is online and quiet you can bet she is on Padres in the skelly town shopping. Only one thing can interrupt her from a day trying on clothes....The cry of help from a Wench. She will come runnin out like it was on fire.

Jade Edgewalker: Officer

Jade is our master sailor. It is like pulling teeth to get her to step foot on land. Being the owner of a war fleet, you can find her lurking about Padres taking out the big boys. Jade is also ALL WENCH. If you are not one of us give up on getting on her friends list. And, don't even think about asking her if you can sail. She will laugh in your face. If you are a Wench she'll tell you to sink all you like.


If you feel you would like to join this group of nuts just post below and I will PM you a guild code. But please remember it is for a trial period only. If you start acting like an idiot we WILL eject you!!!!

You wenches already have a Jade that seems as evil as Jade Seamorgan. Only difference is Jade Seamorgan is very social. Now that I maxed my computer ram i spend alot of time on Abassa server laughing at low levels dying in the caves.

She is just starting out though, so she needs a little leveling up, and if that is not a problem, I would love to consider joining you all.

Fire monkey, the only way you can join as a male is if you use female pirate. The guys in our guild go as female pirates.

i have been in several guilds, my 3rd one I really really like, but lately the members dont seem to be on much anymore, including the guildmaster. its wierd, like everyone's just sort of gone on vacation - ? and i hear about guilds organizing days/times where everyone gets together and plays. do you gals do that? the thing i love most about MMORP games is the comraderie. i get so bored playing alone! i'm a lvl 23 . . .

Sounds familiar. That seems to happen a lot with guilds - they just kind of run their course and everyone moves on. Either they leave the game or move on to other guilds. Must be that 15 minutes of fame thing.

You'll level up fast if you spend much time with the Wenches - Piper was a 6 when I joined and she's now a 33. :D

I joined last night, but then I got a internet problem.
I unplugged and re-plugged the main thingy, which normally works, but it didn't.
It appeared as though I was going through a serious problem. So we tried one more thing, very simple, obviously not gonna work, and, natrually, it worked!

I would be interested in joining your guild. I am currently in a guild, but I have had no contact from them and no one ever seems to be online. I am not on everyday but enjoy the time I am on. However I am getting to the point where I could use assistance, and have have been achieving levels to actually be assistance. I look foward to hearing from you.

Discrimination based on gender in a world where citizens are trying to eliminate such discrimination is easy to misconstrue. Further application in a computer virtual world, where gender is moot, creates more confusion.

Even the Boy Scouts are being forced to let girls in thier organization.

Well, talking in terms of real life, we have several male Wenches. ;)

I personally don't think it's a big deal to require that the pirates be female in a guild called the War Wenches (considering what the definition of a wench is). Now, if they allowed male pirates to wear girl's clothes (not likely...they won't even let you say "cross dresser")...


The Boy Scouts thing is a little different, though, because they always got to do cooler stuff than we Girl Scouts did. In the game, OTOH, everyone can do the exact same things - the tiniest pixie of a female pirate can be just as strong as the Hulkish guys.

The other thing is, the people that, so far, have seemed to have an issue with it are kids - we wouldn't allow them anyway because of their age. And, if they want to cause drama by making a fuss about the female pirates only thing (or anything, really), that just confirms it; we don't like drama. :laughks2:

I just read ths little debate. Suprisingly the most thoughtful and well said posts were by (SUPRISE...) adults.

Males are nore than welcome to join as long as they have female pirates. In fact my husband is in the guild. Not to mention we have a new Wench that is a 45 yo father of 2. LOL All I can say is beware if you are a man behind your pirate....We do have "girl talk."
It is not that we do not want men in the guild...we are just looking out for the younger males .... <snip>

and i AM that 45 year old dad of two!!! My first pirate Sven Ironrat is nearing that elusive pirate master status so i created a second pirate and named her after my daughter Molly. Why i choose to do a girl pirate i have no idea...probably just to try something different.

I mostly went through the first pirate soloing and the friends and guild members i met were all very nice...just all guys in their early teens.

That said...bring on the girl talk!

I have really enjoyed the posts by the members of the war wenches. You all seem to be witty and nice. i hope i can bring some of my humor to the group and am looking to "enjoy" this pirate as my first one was all business.

Of course with privateering now out Molly may have to take a back seat for a bit while i try out this new addition!

Besides if we had actual male gender pirates running around it would sort of ruin the "War Wench"s name. I for one quite enjoy having a guild of adult primarily women who get along! I've never been one for having many female friends, these here I already have at least one thing in common with!

then its not BOY scouts its multi gender scouts if they let girls in boy scouts then the girls have some kind of issues no offense girls but if you join the boy scouts you have issues

I don't think it's discrimination. In fact, I think these are all pretty cool guys - secure enough as men to play female pirates and not feel threatened by it. Some men would not do anything that makes them appear remotely female - like changing diapers or washing dishes. The ones who aren't afraid to do things that might get them teased - they're the good ones. Men have to have a wonderful sense of humor to be a Wench, and that's part of the guild. We've always spent a lot of time laughing, mostly at ourselves.

I just started a new pirate, but im only 18 in a few months. lol so i guess i'll be joining you all then :piratear: It will give me time to level her up too.
