black harbinger
Real sorry if i spelled it's name wrong.
But, that skeleton ship. Yeah. The "Black Harbinger"(sp?? again. hahah.) What's the big deal with it? I've only seen it twice, and a few people in the game I've asked about it aren't giving me much info, and another few just tell me to stay away with it. |
It is just the undead equivalent to the EITC (Juggernaut) and Navy (Colossus) monster ships. It has a static spawn point but appears to sail a wider range than the other 2.
On a side note, I'm still waiting to see Undead Flagships. I think it would be a blast to slip and fall on the slimy decks when boarding it. Loot Hard! |
I haven't found its spawn point yet, but the best/most probable places to find it are Mariners Reef (including the parts south of PDF), the Leeward Passage (look south of Outcast where the non-flag Colossus and the better war sloops sail), and much more rarely along the eastern seam between Boiling Bay and the Hinterseas.
|
it spawns to the left of padres if u are sailing out of padres
|
That is my favorite ship of the game. I would love to get a screenshot of me on the deck of him. Wanna see id its a Raider instead of a Brigand like the Storm or Phantoms sailing it.
|
Yea, Ive taken it down once on the test server. It spawns somewhere around Padres.:ship:
|
Yea, I saw it the other day. It wa my first time and I thought it was a glitch or something, Id love to join someones crew and help sink one.
|
I took it down a couple times when I was on this morning.
The first time I found it just south of the "I" in Mariners Reef, and I waited there for about 15 minutes (with a great view of ships between Outcast and PDF, from just north of Outcast to the southern Uncharted Waters. Finally, I sailed around south of PDF, and found it there sailing in circles with a Storm Reaper. I sank the 2nd one at about the "G" in Padres Del Fuego. I waited about 10 minutes, and never saw it. After that, I covered every bit of traffic on the south half and west half of the map, and never saw it again. I made port briefly at Tormenta and Rumrunner's to drop treasure, then sailed on to Tortuga to resupply but had to go. My plan now is to do the dishes, sear a roast and throw it the oven, then start hunting it down while my dinner is braising. I'll find its spawn location eventually.... |
Do they give good cargo, or is it just crates?
|
They give decent cargo. Not 5 royals like the Colossous flag with lvl 38 officers on it. Pretty good cargo for what your doing, then again it does vary from time to time.
|
Like most skeleton ships, they seem to be better for Sailing/Cannon rep than for plunder. I wouldn't say it's really worth chasing down just that one, unless you're curious about trying to track down the exact position its static respawn point.
EDIT: I even lucked into "the daily double" on Caicumal just now. They're still there too, as far as I know; I didn't take either one. http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/d787d8f1f7.jpg |
Just another undead ship target, albiet at a higher level than most.
Would love to start seeing some Skelly Flagships (with undead crew of course), along with a Dutchman type vessel (crewed of course, by Tormentia baddies) |
What I see from the flagships, they are all Naval. And the Skelly's are undead, which obviously aren't Navy... Flagship is a designation given as leader of a fleet of other ships. Seems any ship in which an Admiral (again Navy) is flying his flag is a flag ship. Just my guess, but they are sticking to the history of it.
I have just been reading a bit and giving what I see... Only thing I have a question about is where the EITC flagships fit in... I (sorry to say) have only seen the first pirates movie. The other 2 are coming soon... |
EITC is a the trading company that brings goods in from/to the Orient from the rest of the world. They are still English (from what I can tell) as in history they were granted an English Charter by the British Queen. History calls them just the East India Company. History and folklore are very cool. Especially when they (being Disney) brings in real elements into this game.
Black Harbinger - Fun to take down solo. Can take a while but if you are good at evading ship fire, you will do far. I love my war sloop for that reason, I can usually evade most of the enemy fire while doing my patented "S" curve. :) (ok, not really patented... ;) ) |

I am aware of the actual real world definition of a Flaghip, being as how I'm in a sea-going military service. And seeing as how there are a huge amout of Skeleton ships all serving Jolly Roger (like an Undead Navy, but without the fancy uniforms) it would make sense that there could be some Command/Flag Ships if Disney throws us a bone and puts them in the next update. |
Can you say awesome?
Through extraordinary circumstances, I managed to succeed in the task of glitching into, and shortly after, driving a Black Harbinger. :skull::piratewheelgo2:
What magnitude did this event have on me? Well, my friends list, which was empty at my boarding of the enemy ship, was full when I got back to port. :laughks2::12_1_138: Meet me in-game and I'll see about helping you obtain the status of "skeleton captain" for a day if you don't already have familiarity with the capture process. :mickeypiratezd4: :00001927:-Leon Sharkshot-:00001927: |
I would honestly love to know how it is people can take the helm of a skelly ship and proceed to sail it. I have yet been able to do this. I have naded the capt, yet they just respawn. Please let me know cause I would love to take the opportunity to do this on many ships.
|
Hmm, I'm going there now to get a look at one!
|
The steps I take to board ships are... errr... interesting. When I'm done with my work I'll type up some steps to board and PM the steps to anybody who wants to know more about it.
Who knows. Maybe some people can meet up with me and we'll get a fleet of harbingers together :). |

As i said though, be careful takin the cannons and shootin enemy ships. They will then come after "your" ship not the one your manning cannons on.
|
I would like a PM on this as well.
I have ALWAYS wanted to board a skelly...... |

Black Harbingers are the highest leveled ships in the skeleton army so far. Just like an EITC Juggernaut or a Navy Dreadnought, they are only found on the waters behind Padres Del Fuego. If you want to sink one, make sure that you either have an able-bodied crew or mad sailin skillz. LOL :laughks2:
|
If u go SW of Outcast Isle, that is where i found a bunch of Black Harbingers. Im pretty sure thats the spawn point.
|
can you pm me too when you make a How To? thanks. i dont even know how to do the swimming glitch. so can you pm me that too. thanks again
|
I've seen three so far and i've sunk three.
I WANT ONE SOOOO BAD! |
Sorry about the delay so far folks. After I said what I said I've gotten... so far... 230 requests for copies of the "How to take over a harbinger" form.
I'll get to you guys asap. Hang on ;-). Lookin' forward to that harbinger fleet soon. |
Ps:
This glitch has only worked for 1/2 of the people i've given the guide to, so don't be dissapointed if it doesn't work for you. :skull:
