Opening Day
 

Is opening day for At World's End still scheduled for Memorial Day 2007, or has it changed since?

May 25th. Not sure if that's Memorial Day.

I found from another site that the world premiere of POTC3 (red carpet day with the stars of the film), will be at Disneyland on Saturday, May 19th 2007. Perhaps pirates will open sometime between these dates. I'm starting to get skeptical though because there is still no information on beta or anything. Can Disney pull it off in time?

I've seen another MMO rushed into release. If Disney can finalize an incomplete version of the game, that is solid upon release, it can be done. Then patches and expansions can bring the game up to par fairly quickly.

I think this would be best because they will have the buzz from At World's End to promote the game, which will be huge.

I would have to agree, no point in waiting till the game is finished as people will play an uncomplete game when they don't know it is uncomplete. Disney will just call it a feature that they "will be adding more features constantly"

They do it for Toontown, and its the same engine so I see nothing wrong with it.

Well, I'm pretty excited about this movie! I've been a huge fan of Pirate of the Caribbean at Disneyland, and ever since the first movie came out, I've gone to every opening night. I've also dressed up for each one. I'm gonna go pretty crazy with my costume for this next movie. ;) Feel free to PM me for tips about making a very piratey costume for opening night. That is, if you're alright with standing out and being crazy. I've done acting since I was six years old, I'm not afraid of being crazy in public. ;)

Well, you have to have a patch and several sashes with a nice swashbuckling sword. Then a lusty wench or three hanging on your arms while you have a bottle of rum in your hand.

I found a nice little countdown timer to the first trailer release for AWE. It's coming in 6 days, PST. My Userpage on VMKF shows it.

May 25th, 2007. :D I'm really excited, less than 3 months for the 3rd movie of the best movie series ever. :D

I'll be down in Los Angeles for a Star Wars convention (nerdy, I know) at the end of May, so I'm making my plans now! Anyone else going to be down around the Hollywood area? Great to meet up.

I am going to WDW for the Pirates on the Seven Seas Lagoon event on May23-25. Still hoping to juice my way into the Red Carpet Premiere at Disneyland on May 19. Heres to hope! Argh!

i'm thinking about talking to my friend and having us go to the midnight release and be dressed up and fight with some of my swords i bought at the pirates ride at WDW from past visits.
