Why do the noobs shoot at our ships? Every time (and I'm not exaggerating here) I went to board my ship today, some dude was docked and shooting at my ship. I finally got fed up with it.

I used the overboard/floating glitch to exit my boat, go to his and gently move him out of range. The thing is, I'm not sure he could see me. He'd be on the cannons, so I'd take the wheel. After about 10 seconds, I'd get knocked off, but the guy wouldn't be there. I'd start steering again. Then I noticed that my pirate was hovering behind the main mast, so maybe he couldn't see me! After the third time of taking over his ship, it wouldn't work right anymore. His ship wouldn't steer straight and lost its wake. That's when I made my exit.

I see from other tube vids that the person can not see you. I bet that noob was confused!

I was just using explosives on their ships. They freaked out hehe.

Honestly? Because its rude and disrespectful. You dont just go to a friends car and take off with it do u? You wouldnt like it if someone just hopped on the wheel of ur ship without asking and sunk you, losing ur precious cargo. Plain and simple, its rude, dont do it.

YAY!!! Finially the jerk got what he deserves!!!!! Not that anyone should steal a ship......I hate that but I am glad this one got it!!

Isn't it amazing how fast they stop (and port or leave the area with great haste) after a shot or two of explosive?

I've done it a few times and I can almost hear the "MEEP!!!!" as the ship disappears.

I agree with Angel. I don't think they are shooting at your ship to be disrespectful. It's not like they can hurt it. I shot at a couple of player ships int he beginning before figuring out which was a player and which was an enemy. It is not that big if a deal. It might have just been a kid playing for all we know.

no woman it wont let me sail it when I use Get Out Of ship glitch.

It doesn't hurt the ship, but can get a bit annoying. I use to shoot the heck out of guildie ships, most the time them not knowing it was me until afterwards, haha. Even heard chat over vent while I was doing it once.

One way to deal with it is click on them, and hit crew battle. Its just sorta to bad its not a forced battle. After all, they did make a aggresive advance toward you, they should have to go in pvp then.

I haven't looked at the pvp yet really, but looks like now you can't get a battle like that, your crew against another. I did one since the last update, the person i did it against, wasn't there, and 4 other people from elswhere ended up in the match.

I usually stop and then hit them with Firebrand, Explosive, or Fury... a quick barrage and they freak out.

Although no harm done in this particular incident.. whats deserved, is deserved, but definately don't condone people trying to board and steal other players ships just to amuse themselves.
This type of player is referred to as a "Griefer" quite frequently in these forums.

I boarded someones ship once. He was afk and being shot at, so I boarded it, took his wheel, and landed him safely.. he came back to the computer and wuz a bit confused..
Better then him sinking, I guess.

the noobs dont know that they cant sink ur ship so they try and theyre trying to have fun

I personally can't stand being shot at by players - now this is different than accidentally clipping a players ship while shooting at a Target - which Im sure we have ALL done - particularly while using broadsides while sailing alone. (Guilty here)

But I dislike when people shoot me on purpose, or when Im cut off when Im using Full Sail. AARRRRGHHH!

theyre invisible when u use something so he retook the wheel.

i tried to erase something but it went too fast srr for the screw up

it is kinda harsh but i would do the same or ill just fire some explosives
