Pets in POTCO?
 

Do you think us pirates should have pets in the game? The pets could be like dogs and cats. Both unlimited and Basic members can have a pet.

What do you think?

if they do add them, it would get a bit carried overboard. A parrot on ur shoulder or a capuchin/samoian would be nice too. Other than that imagine the breedin problem?!?

Maybe we could have a SWTICH mode. We could switch to a parrot, cat, dog, lion ECT ECT. and we could fly/run ahead to scout the area. We could aslo have a POUND where if your pet is defeated its sent there. And if you don't claim your pet in 30 Days it will rot in jail.


P.S: No matter what Ocean your pet was sent to it will always be in that pound.

I want a woodpecker. I could train it to poke holes into the hulls of enemy ships and take down masts, Irritate stumps, and to take out all your peg legs in PvP.

I've always thought having a parrot or like barbossa's monkey would be cool.

Aside from a parrot or monkey which would be insane, if you want other pet's go play world of warcraft.

They did have a Parrot and a monkey (yes a dog too) but other than those 2 I think that should be it.

what about a ferret? i do think a dog would be wonderful as well i mean he follows you everywhere you go as for the parrot too cliche O_o

Well, back in the olden days (actually, some still do this), both dogs and cats would be found on ships, so there is a historical precedence for having pets.^^ So, yeah, this would be cool.

Once again, agreeing with Angel suggestion above. A pet would be only good for Pirates only if it be carried over your body, like a parrot, a snake around your neck, lizards on top of the hat and they should never leave you. A dog and a cats and all of that is impossible to have. Imagine a War Galleon full os shipmates with dogs and cats? hahaha

That would be an awful lot like the game "FATE". You choose at the beginning if you want a dog or a cat and then it follows you around and helps you fight monsters, and you can feed it different types of fish to transform it into different things.

It would be fun, but it would probably slow down the computer even more to have to deal with people's pets running around too.

And what would you do with them in the middle of a ship battle? A cat isn't gonna do much damage to a war frigate...

maybe a pet should be an unlock after a higher level of noteriety? something small though that could sit on your shoulder such as parrots and small monkeys.

i want a little gecko! no really in real life i have a leopard gecko named norbert. lol i would have the in-game version bite out navy soldiers eyes. lol. no. a new weapon! trained animals! like parrots can stun enemies with annoying screeches, lizards or ravens or vultures, too, can blind enemies by biting their eyes out. hey, they did it in dead mans chest. lol it would be hilarious to see a little gecko jump out in front of a navy guy and bite his nose or something lol. :) go norbert!

well, they did have cats on board their ships to eat rats. maybe you have your pet only in special places. Or what if you can tame bad guys, like scorpions, bats, crabs, gators, Stumps!
If you could do that, id have a stump named stumpy.
If not, i would have a Albatross (they're so big!!!)

My Stump will Rule all of your pets, he would eat them, BWAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
