New Groups
 

We have created a new user group:

The Pirate's Parley which is our own piratey version of the Rants forum you have all come to know and love.
"Step up on the Soap Box and let out yer troubles. Matey!"

We have also changed Long John Silver's Moldy Tomes to a user group as well. It will be viewable by everyone, but only those who actually join the group will be able to post in the forum.





So, how do you join groups??

Click on the User CP on the top menu bar.
Then scroll to the bottom of your Control Panel (on the left side of the page)
Under the Miscellaneous Section, click on the Group Memberships (third from bottom)
Now just click the join circle for what group you wish to join (you can only do one join at a time)
DON"T FORGET TO CLICK THE JOIN GROUPS BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM

If you decide to leave a group for any reason, then you would go to the group membership as above and click the Leave Group circle and the Leave Groups Button at the bottom.

Cool, but I have just one question. Where can people locate the "Book Club" Membership I know where we can sign up I just dont know what it's about and where it's located on POTCOF. Thank ye for anybody who helps.

Long John Silver's Moldy Tomes is the book club and is located on the Forums page under Group Forums.

It is currently just a place to discuss books. Once I have a chance to see what people are posting about, we will get a bit more organized.

So join and have fun posting;-)

To join the "Ranter" Group.

Go to your UserCP
Click "Group Memberships"

The group you would be looking for if it is available to you is "Ranter" if you wish to join the group.

The forum, if it is available to you is listed under "Group Forums" on the forum list, and called "The Pirate's Parley".

Access the glitch group forum (really its just a title).

That was an old group that we don't use anymore. Before I joined the moderation staff I ran a newsletter that gained a bit of popularity, so we had a group to show those that took time to help write stories and take pictures as well as other things for it.

I have two questions...

1) how can you get more than one label? like ranter and such.
2) how come there is no movie club like the book club?

1. Just go to your userCP and click on Group Memberships and click which group you are apart of to be displayed. Then that image will now show up on your posts as well as your Pirate image.

So someone that clicks on Ranter or Arcade will have Pirate image and a Ranter or Arcade image beside it to go on their posts.

2. General POTC Movie Talk

But the 2nd part is more was more directed to other than POTC movies.

Oh, I just thought you were talking about POTC movies. Guess for now, you can post threads in Land Lubbers about other movies. If we start seeing enough threads about movies, we might just make a forum for movies. We normally like to see quite a few threads about a topic before making a forum for them.

It said "available to you" . The only things that come up are the guild groups. I have joined the tester pirates, glitch pirates, and something else. The book group doesn't come up. Is there an issue or do you have to meet certain standards?

I believe that the Book Club closed due to lack of usage. I might be wrong.

That's correct. We got very few members of the forums actually joining the group and almost no activity in the forum, so we closed it down.

I would have joined the book club...
