Clothes drops....Myth or Fact?
 

So far I'm starting to think its a legend. "A friend of a friend got one from such and such". Wel I have yet to find one and have yet to see someone with something on. Dont make me call Mythbusters POTC!!!:stlaugh:

I received a pair of Purple Pants from a low level undead.

LOL. OK actual physical proof......I guess it's Debunked. Now I gotta go back out and kill multiple enemies again to get one of these rare occasions lol.

I got some striped purple pants off an undead in Tortuga, they look like "Hammer Pants" to me, LOL....oh, did I just date myself?.....

So, yeah, they're out there, just rare, and I believe that's the point :)

I got a nice shirt at Kings Head. Think I got it from killing admirals but there where so many who knows.

there was this girl in El Sudoron I saw killing stumps and she had on this REALLY bright hot pink jacket type thing, but I dont know if its just for like girls or if it was a drop :P

OK for those that got drops...this is for u. My wardrobe is full, 4 of boots, pants/skirts, vests n shirts. When you got your drop, were yours? I'm wondering if since you cant carry more than 4 items, if this would affect it.

Angel, my "Closet" was darn near empty when I got my drop. I THINK that you have to have a space open to get a drop. I think, but it only makes sence that if you want to carry something, you gotta have room for it. This could be a good question for TPTB...like they would ever answer...LOL.

Dont get me wrong, I'm glad we got clothes now, but I want a walk in closet!!! 4 items each? I like to change my clothes daily and send the rest off to get cleaned lol. Guess I'll have to make room :(

Pirate Rose - referring to your earlier post that you got your nice coat froma stump. I have never seen a stump wearing clothes....... :piratetongueor4:

My second character got a lovely purple coat, but I needed the gold so I sold it.

On my alt I received a drop of a purple belt for fighting some level 2 skelly in the graveyard at Port Royal. But since then nothing. I was just wondering if it has anything to do with the weapon being used at the time. Since I've been nothing lately beyond working on the Molusks and Seabeards at Tormenta, I'm only using hex shot, staff and nades there.

i got a short sleeve red shirt with orange sleeves when vet farming :dancetl6: but sold it for like 500 gold to get the bowtie shirt:mybadki6:

Well I got what the game called "orange pants" from a vet at kingshead, but when I go to the clothing store, they are called "striped pants" and they are not rare at all, anyone can buy them, what a rip!

Never saw that I had a "clothing drop" but when I went to change at the tailor, there was a frilly purple shirt in my items that I surely never bought....sooo not my style, however was worth 300 gold. Sold it and it helped pay for new stays. LOL.

I did get one with my level 2 Avi but she has only the clothes she started with. . . . I have NOT seen one with my main avi who has her closet maxed out in quanity. . .maybe you don't get them unless you have an empty slot??? :psmiley27: Anybody know? Any of you that have gotten them also have a full closet?

I keep an empty slot for that very reason, not that my main pirate has gotten any drops mind you. but of coarse a second pirate I made to horse around with and test stuff with got one lol.

Yep, it figures huh? LOL! I am not sure I want to empty one of my pretty things to get what may not be as nice. . . ROFL wish I could dump the starting stuff. . . . never use it any more :piratear:

I've gotten myself a bright red hat before!

I recieved a puffy short sleeved blue/green shirt from somewhere, I was not paying attention I guess. I found it one day while I was shopping, it was in my things. So it was not my color and I sold it lol, am now wishing I kept it. Oh well:dancetl6:

On Leon Sharkshot I got a bright red button up vest.

On Rose Truesilver I got a bright red bandana with the tie hanging down from it.

Those are the drops I've recieved so far. So.. i'm going to have to say "fact".

I got a bright red vest off something. I don't remember at this point. I sold it.

My friend just plundered a "bright orange shirt" here it is!!!!

Im not sure, I have plenty of space, and have not yet gotten one.
I defeat levels from 1 to 35. I think it is randomly given to pirates at certain times, no matter how many you have defeated.
But im not sure, you might have to have space.

I think you have to have space in your closet. Just as with the quest tatts....you have to have space to obtain one. I know I hate how they dont let us sell our started clothes but if they did and we went back to basic, they wouldnt have our starter clothes for us to get back into.

This may be an old topic never really looked and you might know this but when you get a rare clothing drop I dont think it says You found a Rare Clothing or something like that it should just appear in your clothes storage plus you have to have room.

When I received one it was presented the same way Odds'n Ends, Valuables, etc are found. It did tell me that I'd received an orange pair of pants.

Meanwhile I also have a bright red tied bandana that I cannot seem to find in any of the merchants shops. I'm wondering if I picked it up that way and missed it.

I scored me a "Bright Green Shirt" from one of them thar Undeads on the Isle of Congrejos.

FACT! Yesterday, was playing with Hubby - killing skellys on Congrejos.

He was given a 'Bright Green Shirt' and it is LIME NEON green!

He's going to post as well - but I had to say I saw it myself - when it happened, he said "What is this.... Green shirt?"

Still waiting for a rare drop, guess I need to spend more time killing skellys.

Just an FYI, this is a myth, and my Samuel pirate busted it..

He had several purchased tattoos.. and now has 2 pages of tattoos after he quested. 5 on one arm, 6 on the other.

Either that, or Samuel Mcmalley is a lucky pirate.. hehe

i agree with u angel my wardrobe is filled with a shirts 1000 gold more i dont want to sell them. but i guess i will

My closet is empty but I don't get anything new anyway.. :(
