Rare Clothes
 

Has anyone found one of the dropped clothes by an enemy? I've heard you can get them from anything from crabs to ships.

I haven't gotten anything yet, but I've been trying :p. Not sure if it as just something on test, or if they incorporated it into open.

@Pirate Rose: Yesterday, they incorporated it into Open.

I haven't gotten anything yet either, they said it was hard to get. I haven't seen anybody with it yet....

I was at Kingshead yesterday and over heard someone in a nearby area of the island say they'd looted an item of clothing, the players name was Leon something...

I hope the unique colours are worth the effort or can be sold for a reasonable amount of gold to a tailor.

I WANT CLOTHES BAD!!! I hope they're like 50k to sell so I can buy another War Frigate.

As if they would be like that. Most likely they sell for very low and trading will soon be in the game. Then we can get loads of money. The clothes will be worthless if you get any, they will just be good for wearing not selling.

Yeah...I know. She mentioned that she wasn't sure if clothing drops were in Open yet.

And I haven't gotten any drops yet, though I did see a girl with a very nice coat which I'd never seen before yesterday.

I saw a guy with a real strange lookin coat. It was pretty horrible looking. Actually looked like a squid inked him. Dont know if it was bought or a drop item.

And yes, I wasn't sure if they had incorporated the rare clothing drops into open. Didn't remember reading anything about it, but I might not have been paying attention lol. But now, since ppl have heard others getting something.... :)

Sorta off topic, but sorta on as well.

Havent gotten any clothing yet, as I really havent been killing much more than skeles and I WOULDNT wear anything they ever "dropped" anyways..thats just wrong, and well, if no ones gotten anything, i just assume they havent been implimented.

But what I was wondering is, since you can have only 4 articles of clothing for a certain item (shirts/vests etc)

if theyre all full will you get nothing? shouldnt clothes be handled dfferently? why is i can hold a combined total of like 300 grenades, cannonballs, my weapons, but only four shirts.

I was on a flagship yesterday and after I killed a thug I saw what looked to me like a hat lying on the deck... only I was taken back to my ship before I could investigate :(

Perhaps that was a dropped item missed. I still haven't seen anything else like that since then.

I'm off to Tortuga to kill a million Bandits, which some others say they've gotten clothes from. I'll fill you in.

Well, after killing roughly 3/4 of the skeleton and Undead Bandit population, nothing.

you should be able to hold every clothing item in the game so every day you have a new style.

After staffing group of vets in Kingshead for 2 days, and shooting 100's of skeletons, I give up.

After staffing around 250 mercenary/raider/officer/sergeants in Catacombs over 3 days, I too give up.

Added random drops of rare clothing when defeating an enemy. The chance of getting clothes is rare, but the colors are unique and you can't find them in stores anywhere.

It seems that low level pirates can get the rare clothes easier.
I'm going to make a new pirate to test it.

I wonder if you need an undead that is the same or higher level than you to get the clothes. I doubt Davy Jones crew works.

I was fighting a dead gypsy and got a really cool blue vest, at first I didn't understand why I got it but later I found out that this was something new to the game. this was a few days ago and I have been doing a lot of fighting since (lvl weapons) and haven't gotten anything else.

u find what u are looking for when u are not looking for, however when u are looking for it chances of u finding that something will be lower

If you read the message that appears after you try to buy more than 4 items of a clothing part, it says "for now". Prob. later they will let you hold more clothing.

ive killed over 300 undead pirates, brigands, gypsies and gravediggers with nothing yet

i got a rare drop yesterday they where purple pants and they where worth.... a.... measly.... 300 coins -.-

Yeah kinda silly to sell a rare clothing item unless you hate the color. The point is to have something no one else has. Sure if your not gonna wear it keep the spot open. Though I don't think money was their intent with rare clothes.

For me I mean. To wait this long and finally get a drop and go to sell it for only 300 gold?!? Not on my life, I would wear that out lol!!

LOL that is funny! I'm surprised it's not a green shirt.

I didn't even realize that I had a piece of clothing until I went to the tailor to check to see if there was anything new for sale. It was a light purple shirt. I remembered then that when I beat a stump on Outcast there was something mentioned about a shirt. :12_1_138:

Wow, I figured the clothes were a glitch or something. I just spent all day training yesterday and today on Angel, got almost 35K reps, and nothing. Not to mention my 3 other pirates that slave daily workin for reps and gettin nothing in return.

I have yet to see any clothing drops. I feel unloved.

I haven't gotten a clothing drop either. I have like 50 cheat cards though.

started a level 35 character AFTER the clothes update was supposedly in place..and if i havent gotten a single thing yet..how many enemies is that??

When the clothing drops first started, I got something on two of four of my pirates in no time at all....Since the initial week, NADA....maybe in one of the "updates"...ahem..."fixes".....wait, no "upgrades" Pirates mistakenly disabled the drops. Wouldn't put it past them to somehow wipeout that code...Arrrr!

My level 36 pirate just got a bright blue shirt while shooting an Urchinfist at Tormenta. It looks pretty cool, if only I could find pants that match.

I got a purple shirt last week from a gypsy on the beach at Padres. I think I sold it though because it looks weird. lol

Yeah me and my friend have this joke that there is a little man that lives in gaming machines and hears you say something or sees you type something then goes and tells the game servers to not give you what you want untill you've given up all hope for about a month. ...Dang he proabaly saw that...

I wonder if these drops are unique. It'd be horrible to be showing it off to your friends, only to have to see your friend who just logged on have the same "unique" piece after warping to you.

I have gotten a vest from a stump and a guildmate got a pair of pants from a stump as well. We both tried them on and they were WAY too big, lol.

Overall - I think it's a jip. I realise they want it to be rare.. but NOT 26,000 Kills rare! :) I just don't think its gonna happen anytime soon...

I got a pair of magenta pants from one of Davy Jones crew on Tormenta

While leveling something last night (Cutlass), a stump on Outcast dropped "an orange hat." It took a LOT of kills (I went from mid-20 to 21)

Of course I went to the tailor to see what it looked like. The orange was closer to brown in color and the hat was a tied bandanna. Worth about 300GP (that seems to be a common amount for these). It doesn't look all that bad and I bought some more items to go with it. It made for a nice little diversion and was right around when I changed guilds so I have a new look to go with the new guild.

These clothes drops are rare? It appears that anyone can buy orange pants (they are called striped pants at padres clothing store).

Today I got my third clothing drop and second from a stump on cutthroat jungle. It was a pair of Forest green pants. It seems that stumps can read and know my name is green. The last stump gave me a green shirt!

Got a hideous, frilly, purple shirt....ewwww. At least I could sell it for 300 gold LOL. Actually have no idea when it dropped, but sure as heck know I didn't buy it.

Got a purple vest ( the kind that are really more like a Bustier ) from the swamp alligator that is outside the misty Mire. . .or is it murky Mire LOL! anyway the one on Tortuga.

I got a bright (BRIGHT) green shirt from a Molusk the other day.

My first week in I got an rust colored jacket off of a swamp alligator in Tortuga. I've been wearing it since you can't buy it that I have found. I always wondered what was an alligator doing with a jacket?:degen:

I have got several drops, one character i know has three. Basically after money and treasure all maxed, i never watched. I think most came from tormenta. I absolutely take the 5th on the pink shirt and red undies. The blue shirt I wear, though its just slightly off from ones you can buy. I believe there is a yellow shirt somewhere, not sure on that though. First member in the guild got a shirt off a molusk right after they came out.

Never did check prices, going to have to go do that and see.

I've picked up a bright green hat and a purple skirt that I wouldn't be seen wearing.

I've seen a screenshot of a red coat that I think was picked up by Rose? It looks good on her and I'd wear that if I found it. That was quite a find! (I'm jealous but happy for her)

But what would I wear that bright green hat with? It doesn't match anything you can buy in the shops. It's quite tacky indeed!

If it's unique and it's a piece of clothing, I'd wear whatever fell from anything. In the game, of course.

I'd stick out like a sore thumb, and other pirates would make fun of me :laughks2:

How do you get the skull bandana?

The Skull bandana was a special item that was offered only for a short period back around February sometime. I cannot recall the occasion.

It was indicated it was an exclusive item at the time.

So far, it still is, and is not available, if you dont already have it.

I have never gotten a dropped item of clothing yet either. But now I know what to look for if I ever do.
